Hey I just wanted to say thank you very much! First off I love these drills and plan on working them into my practice but ALSO that I loved your free course! Your videos have given me a whole new perspective on striking. As a submission wrestler I had thought of striking more as a transition towards ground techniques but after taking your course and gaining a variety of stand up strategies to implement I feel confident against aggressive and heavier opponents playing the outside and controlling range, closing range and disengaging.
Nice video. I'm Dutch and did kickboxing fo years. Its indeed the combinations to setup what you want to finish with. I learned that when you do the same thing (like jab, cross, lowkick) again and again, your opponent will count on that lowkick after the punches. When you notice that your opponent has a hold on that combination, you can surprise him with something completely else. Like many other martial arts, its about reading your opponent and how he reacts to actions.
Somethings i like about your videos, you dont ramble useless crap, just polished info with practical video examples. The content is always good. Very inspiring.
I always felt that I kind of gravitated toward this style of kickboxing. The Dutch are so energetic and aggressive. I loved watching Ramon Dekkers fight. Good video as always!
So just had to say, I love this video I use it in my class and we all enjoy the drills. Keep up the great content love the channel and best of luck in the fight game.
A good thing to do off that last one too is if they check the kick fake to draw the check then blast the hook when the check comes up and chop the leg as it comes down. You obviously put a lot of work into that style of training. Your footwork and partner's footwork during the demo is on point good to see Dutch concepts being highlighted on TH-cam in such an accurate way
Dude... amazing video as always! I’m digging watching your videos get better and better! The highlighting and labeling of attacks in the latest vids are both helpful and cool to watch. Two thumbs up!
i know this is an older video and you may not see this comment but i really appreciate the editing around the 4 minuet mark, it really made this easy to understand
@MMAShredded Really liked this video good practicality one of the best demo of the Dutch style ive seen I think you could do really well creating an entire video series to this specific style or a making it part of your download format. I also think flowing/switch stance could be one to look at as you flow very well. Thanks again
Been training at a gym called American Top Team for near three years now. Many of our Muay Thai drills are similar, but I notice that there are some subtle differences between regional kickboxers. It seems that Dutch variants borrow from Boxing and Kyokushin style Karate. In particular, it's mixing punch and kick combinations. Our variant also borrows from pugilism, both offensively and defensively: Our instructors place a great deal on slipping, blocking and active avoidance. For offense, it's often low kicks, knee strikes and solid punching combinations.
Really good stuff. Some good variations of the Dutch combinations that I’ve learned. I appreciate these videos...I know how much time they take to make. Keep up the good work.
Awesome drills sir!! If u can make another video of these dutch drills please make it. It will be appreciated(you make these vids for us that is highly appreciated by us too). Thank you!!
I can def make a video on it! actually one of the most common things taught to me while im here in thailand have been what to do when your kick is caught hahaha, such a coincident
Love it..I have a fight coming up next month. So another piece of my arsenal from seeing this will be used.. was just explaining what sit h kickboxing was to my fiance then this come up lmao...plus as a trainer myself teach these to my students. Always adding new things and I recommend my students to watch some of your videos as well. It's one that ng to see it from me then I have them watch you to also see it's something that's taught many places. It opens their eyes more seeing other people do other techniques I instruct to them..good work man keep it up ..much success to you

In America you're limited on good kickboxing instruction. Few are fortunate to have high level trainers who have a kickboxing or muay Thai team. What most people learn is a mix of styles and that is essentially what cor hemmers did he added what he tested and felt to be useful. His students went on to give Dutch kickboxing it's name. What makes it stand out is the pressure, high intensity training, use of hard sparring and patterns to set up punches. However it was essentially bred by a man who I consider to be one of the first modern kickboxers and I believe he is the guy who came up with glory kickboxing as well. I have been fortunate enough to spend time with students and fighters who spent a lot of their time around many Dutch icons. However on the east coast usa I believe that is the only area real Dutch kickboxing exists at a level that produces champions.
Hey dude I'm a bantamweight with a 73" reach which is pretty decent for my weight class can you tell me how to use reach against other fighters effectively or even better make a video on it Once again great video.
Nice, bro.Dutch drill, but like I'm seeing Masato's hand speed,Buakaw's kicks and Musashi's stance and stamina in one with slight exageration.Great, useful vid as always with a big LIKE,of course.I'm hardly waiting for your match.Hope it will be an easy win for you.I'm not an expert, but you seem,to have, what it takes!☺

There's some good stuff here. A question comes to mind, though. You seem to favour round kicks over straight kicks. Is there a reason for that? I'm making no judgement; I'm genuinely curious.

Best fighting channel. Can you make a video on how to win against a coach? I really hate my coach.
haha thats a very vague request. Your coach can be George St Pierre, your coach can be Tj Dillashaw, your coach can be a nobody.
