I have a theory regarding Tim Anderson's struggles at the plate. He has regressed so much due to the injuries he's had throughout the season since they've affected him and his game so much. His finger injury from last yeat may have made him change the way he holds his bat and how he swings the bat. He is not swinging at the ball the way he was before and he's had numerous lower-body injuries as well. I may be wrong in this comment, but it's just an observation I've made
Lol. Yea, has nothing to do with him being a paid prima donna who literally wants to try to box on the field. It's psychological, not physical. He's a POS.
I agree with that theory the fact he broke both legs at some point must have some long term effects. Arthritis from injuries when you are younger can creep up fast in my experience. When I turned 30 I started having a bunch of pelvic problems from previous injuries as a teenager and now I have to get my SI joints fused due to the pain. When you have a bad injury you favor the other side like you alluded to and over time that strong side can give out because you are relying on that side too much.
Reminds me of Yelich after he hit his knee, he looked nothing close to his MVP swing the next few years. Glad to see he’s finally found his swing again

He’s young enough that he could return to form and be a good player or he could have a repeat of this year and that could be it going forward. I’m willing to give it one more year before I totally write him off
So happy to see as much as I hate to say it. I can not stand this guy. It was amazing to see Jose a player I have always liked and respected dropping him and knowing it will probably be the most remembered thing of Tim's career

"Nobody plays that sport where I come from" and that's just what he said about boxing.
The sad thing to me is I truly think deep down Anderson is a good guy, but I think he is controlled by his past rather than using his past to motivate him. Many times, diva players have inferiority complexes or are dealing with trauma in an unhealthy way. I think he needs consoling and to revise his outlook on his own life because as he is now, Anderson only brings drama and dishonor wherever he goes.
Good guy doesn’t impregnate women on the side and flaunt it on social media when they have young daughters at home

He honestly just looks like he's not trying. His heart is out of it, he doesn't like where he's at, in ways I don't blame him but he's so toxic and immature that it's hard to defend him as well.
well, another reason could be the white sox culture. i bet they don't even try to correct or train. lance lynn alluded so. hope he bounces back

The insinuation regarding " racism " with Josh Donaldson was so petty. Even worse was how Yankee teammates didn't have his back. Especially, their "Captain" Aaron Judge very weak how he handled himself.
Donaldson was a clubhouse cancer nobody liked him, he could play defense but that was his only tool. Huge decline and bratty attitude
They said the same stuff about Cody bellinger! He’ll be ok
Arrogance is a helluva drug
Injuries definitely could play a part especially lower body ones affecting his base. However any time I see drastic changes like he has shown I always think a vision change. It just seems to have been something I have seen a few times in recent years.
He has been dealing with shoulder and knee injuries all year and decided to play through them. It got so bad that he was playing 2B for awhile because he couldnt make the throws from SS. Why they are allowing him to do that this year is beyond me. The whole organization is a mess.
he strikes out a lot, never walks, has poor fundamentals, is injury prone, and has below avg power. It's hardly surprising to see him suck. Honestly, you'd have to be pretty dumb to think his success was sustainable

I played with Timmy in high school and the guy never practiced on anything his whole like. He just walked out there and got it done.

It literally did in TA’s case. He was batting .350 at time he complained about Donaldson and has hit about .240 with only three or four HR ever since. I made a thread about it on white sox reddit “curse of jackie robinson” didn’t go over too well
@@taradactyl5690 don't get it twisted, I don't care about either one to tell the truth. As far as MVP goes Albert Belle never won MVP, yet Jimmy Rollins (although a fine player) has one and so have other great baseball talents not received one , Kirk Gibson (decent player, but no superstar) had one of the statically weakest MVP season in history, but it was a off year for the big boys. Pretty soon the baseball world won't be singing praises for neither one of them, both are in decline; Anderson 's just a little earlier, who knows he might rebound, throu I doubt it. I've watched him since he came In the bigs (native Sox fan) and his fielding hasn't progressed at all; and I doubt at this stage in his career, it probably never will. This was a good video, but I'm sad you glossed over the Tim Anderson Josh Donaldson issue. Anderson didn't compare himself to Jackie Robinson in the way a lot of people claim. Tim actually said that while he never faced the discrimination Jackie Robinson did, he does understand the loneliness of being the only black person around.
He also said that while Jackie broke the colour barrier, he planned to break the fun barrier.
It's sad how many people have gotten the details of that interview wrong.
