Eres el mejor, estás salvando a mucha gente del MIR! Sigue así!
Thank you so much for this video. I did an elective in ENT/HNO twice in Essen and all almost the medical students were planning to move to Switzerland afterwards and wondered what the process would be like for me. You're the best!
as always, very valuable video! I will keep in mind your input when I apply next year for the job. Thank you, Eutopia
Finally a video!! We missed you! Regarding the interviews, could you make a video about Germany? Is it the same as Switzerland?
I didnt make one about Germany because it is a much easier process. It is also a non-regulated process and it follows the same steps as in Switzerland. The difference is that the demand for doctors in Germany is much higher and as a consequence the Interview process tends to be much easier
Hi doc! Your video is very helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for this video!!
your videos are gold for evry medical doctor
Your video is so useful thank u 🙏🏾
Hi, I loved the video! You definitely simplified everything!
In your opinion, in which category does the plastic and reconstructive surgery belong to? Thanks 🙌🏻
Vielen Dank 👍👍
Hospital is my home, medicine is my life, I am going to work hard and be the best.
Hello mr Utopia! I wanted to ask what do you think from your experience is the budget that needs to have a new first year resident when first comes to swiss? I mean if i get accepted in a hospital for my first year of residency what are the costs that i will have to pay immediatly? like a 3month rent? Thanks for the support!!!! love your content keep up!
Thanks a lot for the video
My question will be : how to apply directly to switzerland coming from a non europen country ? Is there a procedure for recognition like germany? And if yes ,is it easy to get ?
Could you please do a comparison with Germany about which specialities are easy to get into and which are not? Im talking about something like neurology or some general surgery stuff ( specialities in between that are generally not in crazy demand like dermatology but not as much abandoned like rehabilitation and stuff ) how much chance would an EU graduate doctor from Spain would have to get into the mid-range specialities that i mentioned in RURAL areas in Germany in comparison to a C type hospital in Swtizerland ?
Thank you for the videos - very helpful ✌️
This things require some research, so Ill need some time, but ill add it to the list :D
In Switzerland is there considering properties to get
PR and get a job?
For non eu citizens
Hi, thanks for all the precious information. As far ad you know, are recommendation letters important to be taken in a hospital? Do you think that an erasmus in swiss could help a doctor to get in?
They are important to some degree. I know for a fact that the doctors that I wrote "recommending" me were called before I was offered a position. But this didnt happen for every hospital where I worked. So it seems to depend on each departments policy and way of processing candidates.
Hi, great video. I have one question and i will be very happy if you can answer it for me. Does the residency time you do in Germany count in Switzerland?
I would like to know that as well
It should. I havent gotten it recognized yet, but I am on it
@@EutopianDoctorWhat about from a non EU country?
Great video, I'm thinking about studying in Italy and after that go for residency to US, Australia or Switzerland, so it is informative thank you :)
I wanna do residency in psychiatry in Switzerland, which comes from my heart😢. I do get what you mean though 😅
Hey, I wanted to ask if you need to have 3 years of working experience after EU diploma to start a private practice in switzerland?
Hey, would you mind talking more about the specialisation process of an anaesthesiologist in Switzerland? I read that it takes at least 5 years but how long does it take normally?
Sure I will :)
Thank you for this very informative video but I just wanna clarify if for example I finished my medical residency in Germany, would I fall under the category of indirect recognition of diploma?
Direct/Indirect depends on nationality as well, keep that in mind
Hello @Eutopia ! can please put the internet site from where to find the hospitals with their programs as you said please ?
thank you
done :D www.siwf-register.ch/
In Switzerland is there a age limit to find a job and also get PR?
Hello Europia,I am an Indian Anaesthesiologist trying for EDAIC exams.Pls,Can u make a video on Chances for working in Switzerland or Germany after clearing EDAIC ?
I'd like to apply to anesthesiology, what do you reckon?
Hi, great video! I am also really interested in anesthesiology. How hard is it to get a spot in this field? Do all anesthesiologists also work as emergeny physicians? Thanks.
Depends on the Hospital, in some Hospitals they do rotate to Emergencies/Ambulance
So far its very competitive and hard to find a position
##Please##
What actually does it take to be approved in a good residency program? Which curriculum topics are relevants? How many candidates/place are in heart surgery for exemple? How harder is to pass as a foreigner compared to locals?
I cant find these infos!! 😢😢😢
Tks
Hi am a indian, can u please make a video regarding physiotherapy jobs in Switzerland , what are all the requirements to work there as a physiotherapist ,i am a BPT graduate with 5 years of clincial experience also i wanna know if it's good to do masters over there and get a job or doing masters in india and to search over there which is the better option ??
How competitive in cardiology? A new graduate fresh out of med school with no experience can get into a C type hospital for cardiology?
Difficult :) but you can try
Or you can do 1-2 year of internal diseases ( which should count for the specialty) and then swap to cardiology :)
@@EutopianDoctor That's a great idea. And is the transfer process easy?
Hi,I have completed my graduation in MBBS in Ukraine is it possible to apply right after?
Great and very helpful video for the residents. I wish I stumbled upon your channel earlier when I myself was still a resident. Is there any chance you could make the same video but for specialists? Thank you in advance!
I try not to talk too much about the things I havent experienced myself, and regarding specialists would definetely fall in that category :D
Hello Eutopia please i wanted to ask when on language visa in Germany can i apply for approbation after my C1 language exams or do i need to go home then apply for a working visa
I am not sure about that, sorry!
Ideally you don't need to leave Germany, maybe ask immigration if it's possible
Best of luck
Anesthesiologist from Bangladesh can go?
How about cardiology?
Is there the Fachspracheprufung mandatory?
No, the process is different compared to Germany
Hello sir, how much does it cost from application to approbation until finding a job especially for Non-Eu Foreign Medical Graduates.
Thank you.
I can only speak for the cost of my own Approbation which was over 1000 Euros
Is it easy to find a position if someone has already completed residency in Canada?
Its not easy to find a position, with or without residency, even more for non-europeans.
@@DanielaVieiraable what do you mean with or without residency. Ithoight that position of a staff physician does require completed residency. Is it that hard even for the specialty with shortages like in psychiatry or medicine familiale? Is there difference among cantons? Thank you
I meant that finding a position is hard for foreigners, even if you live here already and don’t need to apply for a Visa. If you never had experience here, the fact you had x years working in Canada/USA won’t help much. I know people who are redoing the residency here. The fact they had experience helped, but it doesn’t mean it made it easier. About the recognition of residency here, i don’t know. I just know it’s possible when it was made in Germany.
Can you talk about salaries? Thanks from spain!! 🇪🇸
Soon :D
And please, could you compare the savings(discretionary income) of a German doc to a Swiss one?
Because it's very obvious salaries are higher in Switzerland, but it would be important to also know how much one would have left after dealing with the high cost of living in Switzerland.
I eagerly anticipate your next video..
It has been months 😭
Which category do you think ob/gyn residency belongs to in terms of chances to get hired, in your opinion and experience?
Also i have 2 years obgyn residency experience
Normally it tends to be on the easy - side to find a position ( depending on the hospital of course)
