This is the stuff from when I was a kid. One brother had a Cox dragster that ran on a string secured to the pavement, another brother had a Cox Sandblaster and I had a Cox Rc Shrike. The thing was a trip. It had a big fan on the back like a airboat and that's what propelled it forward. That was my first rc.

Hey Hybrid! I had one of those Cox line planes the Stuka one with the 0.49 engine on it to start it you wined up the spring backwards and put the glow starter on and let it rip such a classic it had a bomb that you could drop as you flew it it was a riot to fly! Once you flew it a couple time and it warmed up you could start it up by hand just flipping the prop by hand!🤔😉👍🤣😂🤣 My buddy bought the bi-plane model Sopwith-Camel and fly them together just feet apart when we circle each other see how close we could get to each other alot of Fun!🤔😉👍✔️💯😂🤣😂👋👋👋👋

Yes this is a very old and historic store in the area, it's actually one of the oldest businesses in continuous operation in the local area overall too. Awesome dude! My father always messed with the planes and old man Brownie took us next door to his basement shop and machined an engine part on his milling machine and took us around the store. It's like a museum there and the whole family was involved with the planes and speed racing. Such a cool place. I didnt live in Staten Island but I was just over the goethals bridge in NJ by Linden. John always had a bunch of Tamiya kits and Associated. He steered me towards Associated because the Losi's had brittle graphite arms. If the nitro gang wants to take a trip to P A Marshall's hilltop hobbies had a bunch of tracks..huge place..not sure if it is still as big time as it was when I was a kid but it might be worth checking out. Thanks for the vids .I'm working on 3 restoring and modding 3 rc10gt's right now...long live nitro!

I used it probably around 1994-1996. It was cool..paid 10 bucks..it is a very tight small track so very tricky as a kid.
Woah talk about a truly sickening vintage nitro road trip! I love shops like this that showcase all aspects and years of the hobby. Too many of these stores are about pushing electrics down your throat!

I recently bought a T-MAXX NITRO. Fires up but i think it's stuck in reverse but it doesn't move much. I really don't know much about them. It's the 2.5 version..I think I bout it cause it had roto start all my others are pull start.

@@joe-murphyslife hey dude! with the t-maxx 2.5 you need to make sure the reverse linkage mechanism itself in engaged correctly. the rod that goes into the transmission housing has a tendency to not full move in or out. You should really just run it in forward and leave it as is. Worst case is you can get a 15 dollar forward only conversion that will eliminate the reverse (this is what most people do).

Hey bro nice video! Sorry I've been super busy but I'm gonna catch up on the recent uploads. Hope you've been good bro. Hey on a side note you feel like selling me that losi Tenacity you probably still have yet to open lol
I have several of those car and it is really the least expensive car to drive but the fuel does matter, it must have a minimum of 25 or 30% nitro and 20% oil minimum which must be full castor or 50 50 synthetic and castor oil But I recommend a surface with good grip and very smooth large open space It's quite fast for the size the model that we see in the video is a fully equipped cooler heat sink and brake just missing the side pan the external full cel And with the original brick it's quite simple to install conventional servos you should make him an offer 400$ would be fair in my opinion its expensive but its super rare à tee dee powered model wil sale for double of that sugested price one in good chape is price less its parts of rc racing history
So what I’m pretty sure the issue is that I have it in neutral. I have an all original LST 2 so that’s what I looked at plus the car is moving freely back and forth and none of the gears are moving.
Yea for whatever reason last week I must have been bored and pulled up on that nob that changes it from high gear to low gear and I didn’t make sure it went back into gear. Ugh! why did I have to touch the dang thing because I never did it before!!!
Ok, I’ll keep pulling on the thing….lol until I get it back into gear.
