It's never all black and white, indeed, but I'll settle for 'greenish' 😄

What to do to increase the number of cyclists?:
    A. Build cycling infrastructure.
People usually find cycling too dangerous, if there is no separated bike track, protective islands on intersections, bike bridges, over und underpasses. Every Dollar/ Pounds/ Euro which is invested in bike infra, is returned 2 fold in health en environment benefits. So investing millions in bike infra is well spend. Bike infra is also used by wheelchair people, mobility scooters, scooters and other electric individual vehicles.
    B. City Planning.
This one is for the Americans and Canadians. Build amenities close to the house, so people can cycle there. Think about supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, theatres and hardware stores. Most Dutch city residents do not own a car, they can bike, take public transport or even walk over there. 75 % of the residents of Amsterdam are doing fine without a car.
    C. Rental cargo bikes.
Sometimes you need to transport more goods then you can carry on your bike. So Rental cargo bikes are the way to go. The city of Utrecht you can rent a cargo bike for free to transport your waste to the waste station for recycling. That saves another car trip.
    D. Bike parking facilities.
When cycling becomes a success, too many bikes will be parked on the sidewalk. So bike racks at stores and bike parking garage at city centers and train stations. Utrecht has a pedestrian only center, but Utrecht built many bike parking garages around the center. BPG's are great next to train stations too. Park your bike and take the train, instead of your car.
    E. Rental bikes at train stations. In the Netherlands you can rent a bike for 3,80 Euros for 24 hours, to reach your destination. Two car trips reduced.
    F. Lease bikes. When you are staying less then a year in a city or town for work, you can lease instead of buying your own bike. This is not a rental bike you see in so many cities. It costs 18 Euros/ Dollars per month and maintenance is free.
    G. Rental bikes for the short trips.

Love the content and the delivery is awesome! One quick thing, the volume of the music is a bit loud, it's a little hard to hear you talking. Just wanted to let you know!

I have gone over a snail and there's this time a squirrel did a mad dash millimetres in front of my front wheel. Fortunately it continued on its way.

People are incapable of seeing the wrong in what they're doing, everybody wants to be right,a cyclist will never see the bad in cycling that's just obvious

Many cars are shipped overseas at a far higher weight penalty so it’s kind of a moot point to count it as a negative towards bikes
