Traded my S22U for n S24U. It's bought and paid for. Running on US Mobile starter unlimited annual plan. $276.00 for a year which is $23.00 a month for 35gb priority data with the ability to use 10gb as Hotspot. I could be happier.

You have a rare skill alot of people severely lack. Research, math and understanding how to use both to maximize your benefit. Many people waste thousands of dollars because they can't be bothered with doing some homework.
Buy unlocked every time it cheaper in the long run. Those carriers' deals are not good. Because there bill credits and stay with them for two years for mobile and three years for att and Verizon, and you have to be on certain plans to get the best plan. It rigged in the carriers favor, and you will pay more for it in the long run. If you pay it off early you lose those bill credits if you want to leave you have to pay the remaining balance off.
Google Fi, $650 discount on the flexible plan. $45 monthly which includes the service and finance charge; add on the visible base plan and you’re paying $65 for a brand new unlocked S24 ULTRA. Which after 4 months of service can be full paid if without needing to be attached to the installments.
@@JohnnyNewport Yup I just downgraded to the flexible plan. I'm trying to get Verizon Business plan for faster speeds otherwise I'm going with visible
I have a verizon business plan at $22.63 a month. That being said, I have an S22 ultra, and on Samsung's website, you can trade in a note 3 for $400 (you buy them for $40~$60). Making the S24 $899. But then I could sell my S22 ultra for $500, and if you are a student, you can get $80~100 off. Making it a $300 upgrade (plus the $40~$60 you paid for the note 3)
@GoobyPlzz make a group with 6 people, I did through reddit. And they have a bring your own device credit that takes $25 off per month for 24 months. The plan is 40 a month so $15 per line per month plus taxes and fees.
Phone Carrier deals aren't much different from buying from Samsung except having to wait for your credit. If you look at it as 333.00 credit per yr.. you can get pretty close to the samsung deal in about a yr 1/2 or right at it in 2yrs and you just pay the remaining balance to pay it off to get it unlocked.
You forget carrier bloatware. Carrier versions have bloatware and you stuck with them tracking you even after you paid off your phone. Your boot up screen and shutdown screen will say their name 😂
@@donniethesportsguy893 Bloatware used to be big but not anymore.. Plus we are tracked so much by google already. I'm not sure what happens after you pay it off and request for it to be unlocked tho.
@StetsonDoggett ... can you speak to plans for just a data device - like an iPad or connected laptop? In addition to voice lines, I need at least 2x data devices but don't always see options for that with the MVNOs
Usually they all work. However if any plan has a HotSpot data throttle or data cap it usually counts all tablet and PC data as HotSpot data. I.E. Visible limits speeds to 5 MBPS and Mint Unlimited stops after 10GB.
@@cmedeir exactly. Any cell phone line works as a data line that you never use the cell or texting. Except carriers count all data as if it was a cell phone broadcasting a WiFi Hotspot

Stetson, I'm watching this video on my new s24 ultra. I traded in my s23 ultra directly with Samsung. I like this new phone. I'm using the Visible Plus plan for $35 a month. I'm happy with the cellular upgrades on the Snapdragon x75 modem over the x70 modem. I am a speed tester and paid user of the coverage map app under the username YurLord. Find me in the leaderboard. I jumped into the boost infinite deal and I don't regret it. My wife had an iPhone already and I got the S24 ultra. We are saving like $30 a month from our previous plan
If you don't think you will be travelling or jumping from carrier to carrier infinite actually might be fine. What he is also missing is the fact that infinite will roam on ATT and tmobile if dish isn't available... The way I understand. Pay now or later....although this plan might be deprioritized data but if you're looking for reception alone it sounds good.
I wanted to switch from iphone to android. Decided to ho with S24 ultra. My current t mobile magenta plan which costs me 31$ a month had an offer for 500$ for the iphone vs Samsung which was offering 400$. Also, there was additional 100$ credit for any other samsung purchase if I went with the carrier. So close to 200$ better. While keeping my t mobile same plan.
Should I upgrade now or wait for future deals? I have an s22 ultra that works fine. I would like to upgrade if there's a good deal. Wondering if the time to do it is now or wait for future deals.
Sucks that Samsung trade values dropped. They used to give $1000 and i would upgrade yearly. They raised the price and downgraded the trade to 750 so now I upgrade every 3 years. Can't see how that would make them more money, but I guess it does somehow.
Damn I missed out on that! Just paid 400$ for the unlocked model s24+ traded in My s22 ultra I really like the phone but would have been cool to save that extra money lol
I'm on the tmobile magenta max plan and I like it because 130$ for 3 lines with no cap on prioritized data, and we use over 1tb a month. 2 lines are teens binge watching Netflix TH-cam and p*rn all day long.
Does the credit change over time or on the week-day basis? I tried to purchase s24U trading in with my s22U, the credit was 650$ as listed here. That was the day before yesterday, March 31. Today, April 2, the credit is down to 580$. I so wish I had finished my transaction before April. Hopefully it'll go up again?? 😷🤒 (Two days to wait)
These carriers give you the lowest value possible for your trade-in and charge the most for the phone you're trading for. Its never a good deal. The best trade-ins are usually from the manufacturer of the phone your trading in. For example you can buy a Galaxy Z Fold 3 for less than $500 used, then turn around and trade it in on a pre-order for a Fold 6 directly from Samsung and they will give you $900 credit for it. Don't believe me see for yourself. Meanwhile carriers will give you like $300 credit or less for the same trade-in.
I do hate how they make it a monthly credit. It forces you to pay off your phone before even doing it. Used to be that you get the credit, pay it off, then send it in Past that, if you think you might switch carriers at any time, just get the direct financing from Samsung
That’s a pricey deal. Yes you’ll have a nice device. But you’ll be billed the difference as a monthly and not mention the insane cost of the monthly cellular service.
Purchased my s24U 512gb for less than half of what it cost. Traded in my s23U and got the 24month and pay less than 20$ a month for it and 0%interest . My carrier is also verzion unlocked had the same unlocked verizon phone number for almost 10 years now, to hell with contracts!
That explains why i didnt see 1k off of my s24. I didnt read that it was 1k credits across 34 months. But tbf its a good trade offer. Makes the s24 200 dollars by the end of it

I showed the pricing for all carriers for three years because that way you could compare the prices under the same scenario. Even though you CAN upgrade every 2 years on T-Mobile, you don’t have to. If you did upgrade every 2 years, then you would add $549 extra to the T-Mobile prices shown in this video ($1,299 - $750 trade-in credit = $549).
