- Very delicious and simple to make upside down peach cake recipe using canned peaches. It's very light, soft and fluffy. Incredibly tasty and easy to make, everyone will ask for more! You can also use fresh peaches if you like. Serve it warm or cold with a drizzle of peach juice or / and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy 🥰
Prep time: 20 minutes.
Baking time: 45 minutes.
Total: 65 minutes.
Ingredients:
Springform cake tin size 20cm / 8 inches
1 x 410g tin peach slices or 2 fresh peaches sliced
150ml (2/3 cup) cooking oil
150g (3/4 cup) sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp almond extract (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract
120g (1 cup) plain flour (you can use self raising flour, but use only 1 tsp baking powder)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
50g (1/2 cup) ground almonds
Bake in a preheated oven at 180C / 360F / gas mark 4 for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. IMPORTANT NOTE: after 20 minutes of baking you may need to cover it with foil loosely if the cake is getting brown.
