Thank you all for the wonderful feedback! All feedback is good feedback. I appreciate you! 🙏
And we appreciate you doll
Think u hav too many sts now.
I can see scarf thinner with thinner stripes!!!
My opinion only.. I would start the whole sweater project over. I think you have come so far on your crochet, and you would be much happier with the final item.
Your "thing" creation almost looks like a giant glasses case! Will you be sharing how to do the moss stitch in a rectangle when you start your birthday blanket?? Love the video as always! Thank you for spending some time with me today 🥰
You covered so much in this podcast, I like the striped hat and scarf they way you have them. 🥰💜
Juan...the pink scarf is beautiful as it is. Keep it that way. Love it.🌸
Juan, I think the hat and scarf set are beautiful just the way they are. I wouldn't frog the scarf at all. Just finish it and it will be lovely!
Hello to everyone from Liverpool, England.😊
Suzie! I know you. Nancy friend of Kathy's. We were all at Beatlefest years ago!
Oh my gosh, hello Nancy!! What a nice surprise!!
Hello England!!❤Wichita, Kansas USA here.🇺🇸
And hello to you Kansas!🧶😊
The hat and scarf is beautiful!! Don’t be so critical!! No frogging!! 🧶
All your projects are wonderful!
I would bind off and make it a dishcloth. You can add a single crochet around to hide any inconsistency.😊
Omg iam so happy to see you my crochet buddy❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜
Hi Jaun. I used to knit. I don’t have the patience any longer. I will stay with crochet. 🤣🤣
The black and red works into a beautiful sweater.
I’d definitely keep the scarf the way it is, it gorgeous
Keep the scarf the way it is. The hat is smaller therefore looks better with smaller stripes. ❤️❤️
hi Tracy Crochet Rocks recommended you loving your channel
Hi Juan! I love that scarf! It is so pretty!! Love all the things!
I love your idea for the summer CAL. I like motifs would be super fun and easy to carry about without being hot to work on.
Love all the things Juan ,beautiful work 💜
Love the hat and scarf , the pink scarf is beautiful finish it the red and black is a do over 😊❤😊❤
I would frog the knit piece and when u redo, don't use circulars for a swatch, and use a solid color, it will help u see slipped or added stitches better...START OVER ON 2 NEEDLES
Auntie Em is a must FO! Stop adding to the Moss young man! you'll never finishes now! still watching... 🤣
Hi there Juan! I have a very light day with clients... so... It looks like a 'Catch up on JTYA Videos' day today! ❤
Whilst I crochet, of course. 😊
Hi Juan! First time checking your videos out. I do love all things yarn and such! lol I loooved the colors in the yarn for your Tunisian crochet project. I would say it could be your tension. Yes, you’re correct, you go through 1 (Chain 1) then pull through 2 for return pass.

Scarfie sweater- Frog the sleeves Suga. I'll show you how to do a tapered sleeve. still watching....
Hello from California!
Hi Juan,so many beautiful things!😊🧶❤️
I vote keep striped hat and scarf as is the difference is width makes it more interesting. Frog everything else. I am undecided on the pink scarf, width is a personal preference. I like scarves a bit narrower but that is because I like to wind them around my neck.
The Tunisian crochet panel is beautiful. I love the choice of color. I started one years ago and never finished. I believe I moved it along with all the yarn to go with it.
Seeing yours makes me want to start another, knowing it will be a put down pickup project.
My favorite Big Twist Living is the Colorway Community.
When you’re nit happy frog 🐸 I have discovered 🐸 can be a blessing. Some of my best work came from a 🐸 💜💜
I like the hat and scarf. I would continue to finish the color sequence in the wide stripes. Then I would do a sequence on each end with the thinner stripes...two sets if you have enough yarn.
Awesome job on the Mama Wench challenge. ❤
Good evening Juan and everyone from Wiltshire Uk 9.58 pm🇬🇧
Love your shirt and all the positive vibes you give.😊🧶😊
For your knitting, if you want it to be a finished project, then rip it out and start over. If your plan was just to use the yarn for practice, then keep on practicing.
Straight needles and solid color yarn is the answer to your knitting woes. Also I was taught to slip the first stitch of the row. Keep going it doesn’t look that bad over all. 💕in Ohio
Hello Juan Love all your episodes.💜💜💜💜💜💜
I like your idea of Birthday blanket 💜💙
Juan, The scarf is great!!! I would leave it alone as far as the width. I would add fringe to it. I think because its width a slouchy hat would be a perfect pair.
Victoria
Love the Men’s hat and scarf keep going and finish.
Juan, you are answering your own questions. Yes, frog everything you asked about. Either make them over, or use the yarn for other things. You will never be happy or proud of any of them. 💕💕💕
Yes frog everything. You will be happier .❤
Hi Juan. So good to ask for recommendations for your projects. I love your scarf as is. Maybe add a simple border along the edges of the scarf. But I love the look of the stripes as they are. Regarding your sweater, are you using a pattern? You could frog the sleeves. Then lengthen the side seams up under your arm an inch or two (or more). This will bring in the sleeve top. Crochet around the armhole for a few rounds. Decrease 3 or 4 around one round every 5 or 6 rows. Keep track of decreases by placing a SM around each decrease post. Then crochet the other sleeve exactly like the first using SMs as guides. Be sure your initial sleeve round is the same for both sleeves. Hope this helps!
Love this surprise podcast and all the things. Truly Juan, you make my day brighter. 💜 say 👋 Hi to Mama Wilma please. 🤟🏼
I would just keep going. It would be beneficial to your knitting journey. You can see the improvements as you go.
Also, HI 👋🏽
Hello watching your replay.
Hi Juan and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and a baby blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your TH-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
Juan, in all those projects, just follow your gut.
We all have old project whips we started from that don’t look like what we are doing now. Practice practice practice. Keep going forward.
Pink scarf is fine, finish it. Matching hat and scarf are perfect, finish it. Sweater .. frog it and repurpose the yarn, it's gorgeous yarn begging to be something else. The knitting.. frog it, restart with solid color yarn, that impeccable yarn is screaming to be something else.
Focus on Auntie Em project, it's too beautiful to not be a priority.
Looking forward to an amazing July 2024!
Love and hugs! 💜
You can just add a thin border to the Tunisian project. It’s just your tension on the return pass. It’s very beautiful!
Hi Juan ! Everything looks great 👍🏽 ❤
It looks good, and has character! Next time, A simple slip stitch at the beginning and end of each row will make a nice even edging!
I love the Antie Em blanket🥰
Happy Monday, Juan! 🩵🧶🩵
The Colors are Lovely
Juan id definitely take the sleeve of the red sweater out and remake it with decreases to taper it in. Man what a beautiful color though. On certain days I love oversized sweaters like Yours. You keep Me inspired ❤
Love the podcast!
Great job for your first knit project. I would frog it all and start over. You can use stitch marker to keep track of your stitch count on each row until you are more comfortable knitting. As a beginner, I count the stitches on each row since I get distracted so easily.🙂
You're making such great progress!! I think you're going to hit your clean up goal - if the new project squirrels don't take over lol
Hi Juan, love your channel so much!😊
I would cut the strips in half on your striped scarf.
Love the Heather yarn colors
Hi Juan watching the replay. If l had to do any frogging it would be the hat and make bigger stripes. But to it looks good as is
the red sweater...as much as you hate the thought 🐸it. The yarn is beautiful.Keep it and find another pattern.
Hey Juan, I would redo the scarf stripes to match the hat stripes. The hat is super cute with the short stripes and I believe the scarf would look better if it matched.
On the Himalayan Air Wool sweater...it is gorgeous, and you've given me ideas on what to do with my balls of that colorway😊. The sleeve is a little wonky. You could try putting a row of single crochets around the beginning of the sleeve before adding the sleeve...if that makes sense. Or if you hate it...finish (or don't) then gift it to someone that loves it. Or you could always ribbit and make something different. Hope this helps my friend!!! Trish
P.S. I LOVE love love the rainbow beanie. So cute. And 100% leave fringe on the Auntie Em blanket. So stinking cute!!!
Beautiful blankets❤
Keep the scarf as is, it looks good together with the hat.
The pink scarf......would be mice with granny squares on the ends.....one, two, or more depending on size...... could bring in some extra colors💜
*nice
You could always cast off on the knit projects and save it to compare to future projects
Juan, we don't like you, we love you. Thanks for the content.
❤❤❤❤❤
I totally enjoyed this podcast. Nice to see that I have accumulated projects at different stages, too. You've inspired me to go back and finish some. Maybe. 😂
Love the green, red and white scarf and hat set. Pink scarf is to wide. Frog the knit scarf
Have you considered a border of chocolate brown for your squares blanket? I think it would make the muted colors of the squares really pop.
On the hat scarf combo what about four vertical stripes as the scarf. On the sweater I would start over with the sleeve and start with the black.😊
On the scarf and beanie, grey, green, red, cream, I would make one of them in a solid. And you just said you love the hat, so make a solid scarf 😊
Juan, you said you love heathered yarns. Have you ever used any Stylecraft Highland Heather DK yarn? Absolutely gorgeous colours and lovely yarn.🧶😊
I would keep it and work on tension. It is a great way of seeing your journey. And if need be, add a single row of single crochet as a border
That pouch would make a nice hook holder. You could add a button
That is a really good practices piece for knitting, you are definitely improving
The best advice I ever received when I learn to knit was to : always slip the first stitch in a knit row and ALWAYS, ALWAYS knit the last stitch. If pattern says to decrease on last stitch, decrease on second last stitch and knit the last one!
Also, don’t use circular needles unless you have so many stitches they don’t fit on your needles!
For the scarf and hat set, yes, do smaller stripes on the scarf to make it a set. for the sweater, why not frog it and do that one panel sweater, the one that you crochet in one go, top, sleeves, front and back, then fold it in half and you get a sweater. I know that it is a job, starting over.
Keep the scarf as it is. I would add a fringe. It’s perfectly fine that the stripes are bigger in the scarf. In fact, it makes sense to me that way.
You are enabling me to want to go get some more premier bloom chunky. I wish I knew enough about Tunisian to help. Squish, squishy, it's all the same. I like squish. 💜💜💜
Hi Juan! So in my opinion, the pink scarf is not too wide if wrapped around one’s head as well as the neck and maybe pink hand warmers to go with. Frog the knitting and reuse that fun yarn. I’m not a Tunisian creative person but that yarn is beautiful! Yes, I agree about making the scarf to match the hat. The Hershners yarn is very nice but the sweater pattern doesn’t seem to work well with it. Maybe use a different pattern? Happy Tuesday!
My opinion-pink scarf is just fine. If you want, add a cool border and add that stitch to the matching hat.
I always keep my swatches going..it helps me to SEE that I'm getting better with sides, tension, stitch height OR I can see what looks best to me, even if it's my own stitch.
Will you explain more about the algorithms?
Thanks!
On the knit project, if it were me I would rip it out and start over, but I have no patience with knitting. The only thing I knit is dishrags. I crochet tight, but I knit even tighter and my hands fall asleep.
Knitting, it's up to you. Shift it to your nicer needles, explore stitches, etc. When you feel inclined.
I love it all ❤
The basic stitch anti pilling scarf - I would do small stripes at the end of the scarf and use only one color (beige for example) as the main color - so, red, green small stripe sections on ends with main color for body of the scarf. ❤sweater frog
Continue with it
Love the colorway of the sweater yarn. I see why you didn’t like the way the sleeve was coming out but like the idea of the sweater. Don’t know much about knitting and Tunisian so can’t help you there.🥰
With the Tunisian scarf for you Momma Wilma I would frog and redo. The hat scarf set maybe doing a C2C pattern on the scarf with a little narrow stripping.
Hi Juan!!!! Happy for your progress! You’ve made it further than you may have thought possible! Keep going!!!
By the way…did you eat today?❤💜💞💜
Yes I did. I also had tons of water. I hope you’re having a great day. (Hugs)
I love the hat and scarf. I think the width of the stripes on the scarf looks great the way you have it.
On your sweater I think you should use a hook that is 1 or 2 sizes smaller than what you used on the sweater. Love seeing your projects.
Juan, have you considered closing up the sides a bit more, making the sleeve opening conform better to the size sleeve you're trying to accomplish?
I'd keep going on the knitted swatch to show your progress and improvement along the way.
I absolutely love the Auntie Em blanket and the asymmetrical shawl!
Later, friend. Diane
hey Juan! I'm of the mind that if you are not happy with a project .. just bite the bullet and frog it . *ribit* I love the sweater and was thinking that when the sleeve gets longer it may look better as it will be heavier.
I agree that the swatch should be done on straight needles, and practice first with solid yarn. You’ll see your knitting (and possible mistakes) more clearly. The pink scarf is very pretty. I make my scarves narrower, but they are fairly long, at least 5 feet. A wider scarf can be shorter and work fine
For the knitting. Finish it off where it is and save it to compare after you have been knitting awhile.
Could you possibly make a pattern for the asymmetrical shawl? I would love to make one and I’m sure your tutorial would be all the things!
