    I travelled through Thailand at the beginning of 2023
    Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Railay, Koh Chang and then...........finally the jewel in the crown. Koh Kood. I have never been happier in my life for my 2 weeks in Bang Bao beach. It is withoiut doubt the most beautiful place i have ever seen.

    Koh Kood is one of the last secrets in Thailand. Less tourism, no Mc Donald, even no 711 stores. Pure Nature, lovely wood houses to rent. Was there in April 2023 and plan to come back.

    Hi guys. We r new to yr channel and I've just subscribed 🌴🌴🌊🌊
    Thx for this video ❤
    We've been planning to go to Thailand beaches for quite some time now
    We r biggg white sandy beach lovers and would live on the beach 24/7 if possible 😁
    So, would u recommend not to waste time on any other islands and just come directly to koh kood? We thought of going to koh chang for a week. But, maybe better not?
    How is it with the sandflies?
    How is it with the safety? If you rent a cabin on that almost empty beach up north, is it safe to stay there?

    • @midlifetravelbug
      @midlifetravelbug  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much for subscribing 🙏💕 honestly if you are all about the best beaches.. Koh Kood hands down. But it is very quiet. You will need a bike. No real street food.. but the best restaurants! I fell so safe… it’s really beautiful! I don’t remember any sand flies.. but but it’s possible. Beaches are secluded but my fave’s for quiet and remote… felt so safe! Never a question.

      You can get away with more flexibility with accommodations in SE Asia because there are a lot of options...as opposed to Europe or North America we find. You may run into someone that has other suggestions on what to see and do that may change your plans up a little, so it's nice to have a little bit of flexibility.

    We are planning to visit Koh Chang and Koh Kood this year! Where do you think the best place to stay would be where we can walk along the beach to beach bars in the evening?

    • @midlifetravelbug
      @midlifetravelbug  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So Koh Chang is much busier and most places are on the west side with White Beach being the busiest area. It’s a bigger island and has a few sections of different towns. If you can rent a scooter, try to explore when you are there.
      Koh Kood is very quiet (when we were there)…so not much night life but Tinkerbell beach area may be a good option. Koh Kood is still our favourite beach destination. You can’t go wrong wherever you stay, but don’t expect the busy nightlife. Restaurants are all good 👍

      There were so many restaurants that were all so amazing. There really wasn’t any street food that we found. Mostly restaurants in just about any flavour you like. The island is very quiet and chill. Its not like the others but that’s why we loved it so much. Definitely about the beaches there. You do need a motorcycle/ scooter to get around. We used trip advisor and word of mouth to find some excellent places… I don’t think we had one bad meal! Enjoy 🙏 cheers Chris and Jim 💕

      @@midlifetravelbug Thank you so much. I see that you had been to Philippines as well before Koh Kood and still you mentioned that this was the best island you had been to. We are also thinking whether to go to Coron and El Nido or choose Koh Kood. Koh Kood is easier for us to travel to from India. How do you compare Koh Kood's natural beauty with Coron and El Nido's?

      I'm not sure how much time you have, but here is our thoughts:
      Coron is also beautiful and we have not been to El Nido, only because we had limited time. That being said, we did enjoy Coron and it was a great trip. When you are in Coron, there is no actual beach and you need to hire a boat or take a tour to get to the islands close by. This adds an extra expense. El Nido has a beach, but we heard it was more expensive than Coron, which we also found a little more expensive than what we were expecting.
      We found it less expensive in Koh Kood. Koh Kood is very laid back, not a lot going on at night, and is a great place for relaxing, renting a scooter to tour the island, and checking out the amazing beaches. The restaurants were amazing, but you will not find street food vendors like you would on some other Thai islands or cities. There are no 7-11's and if you want to see more of the island, it's best to rent a scooter while you are there.
      Of the two places, we could see ourselves staying in Koh Kood for a longer period of time, like a month.

    Where did you leave from to get to the Island? Could you get there from Koh Samui?

      We left from Koh Chang to Koh Kood via ferry. I don't know if there is a ferry from Koh Samui, but there is an airport in Trat I believe. We left Koh Kood to Trat and then we bussed back to Bangkok (around 5 hours)
