I visited Ko Kood back in 2007, where I got a mystery sickness in which my only symptom was that I had absolutely zero energy and could barely get out of bed. I was there for five days and saw absolutely nothing. So it's great to finally see what it's really like. Great job with this one, you definitely captured both the beauty of the island as well as a groovy, relaxed vibe. Another less touristy island you might be interested in visiting is Ko Phayam over on the west coast, near the other Ko Chang.
I had covid recently. And a severe magnesium starving disease. So completely down and out, but more days. So did you ever research your illness and find answers? I am older. Hope to get their later this year. Don't need that sickness. Thanks.
No, never looked into it further since there wasn't much to go on, just being completely devoid of energy. It went away after five days and that was the last of it. No idea what it could have been. Not the worst illness since there were no stomach problems or anything else. I think I did a lot of reading and sleeping. I've wanted to go back to Ko Kood ever since and see what I missed.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos could of been heat exhaustion, or nasty reaction from a mosquito bite. I have had similar illnesses before whilst travelling in Thailand.
I live in Thailand and we are used to go every December to Koh Kood, for one week. What a beautiful island ! Our favorite beaches are Haad Noi, Bang Bao, Klong Hin Beach. Thank you for you excellent video. It makes me thinking that we may have to go back there for a few days for Songkran 😜
Watch out for the sand flies my girlfriend get more than 100 sting bite from the Sand flies, fore years ago and we have to go to mainland emergency hospital, she nearly died from it. 10 Days in shadow and doctors, hormonal cream treatment and cold shower. Stay out off areas with old trees and dirty Sand… 🙏
I’m not happy. I’ve been going to Thailand since 1994, early on backpacking but later chilling in a bit more luxury. So I’ve been enjoying your channel whilst I can’t get there. About six years ago I discovered Koh Kood and kept returning for the sheer peace and beauty. It’s Thailand before mass tourism. It was my secret new happy place. Now you’ve told everyone 😩🤫🤫🤫🤫
Ohhh another day in paradise with Paddy Absolutely amazing as always from you . Your bringing the beautiful country of Thailand to our living room and I thank you for that . Catch ya 👍
I hope your doing ok mate take care. I'm sitting here in Australia on night shift getting 4 hours sleep then working 12 hrs watching you in paradise living the dream. 👍
Hey Paddy, I have been following your vlogs and travels across Thailand for the longest time possible, but the reason I comment today is because I literally screamed out of my chair when I heard you stayed at PD Guesthouse. This is exactly where I stayed back in 2016 😍😍😍 It's the best on the island and the lady who owns the place is the sweetest ❤️ Also, you are the best creator ever for Thailand. Can't wait to come back to the country in June and explore some of these places myself. Keep safe. Much love to you and Dreamy 🤗
I've been saying I would visit Koh Kood for years. I think you might have given me the little push I needed! I really enjoyed you talking about people you meet on the social and the short relationships you have with people along the way as a dude travelling to a different place every week. You often talk about how travelling can be lonely at times and obviously Covid exaggerated that. As a long termer in Thailand, we have all moaned about tourists at one time or another, but by god, I really missed the vibrancy of the place when they were gone. Another fantastic video. Stay safe as always x
Koh Kood looks sooo good! I am loving all the rustic charm and vibes! I know times are a little different at present but it's always great to see somewhere that hasn't been over-developed as yet! And with cocktails and sweet doggies too, what a paradise! I hope you had better nights sleep from then on and thanks again for sharing your journey!
Koh Kood is amazingly beautiful Island. I thought Ko Chang was beautiful. Koh kut is a tropical paradise! Love seeing these real Thailand videos. I need a dip in that waterfall! Epic video Paddy!
I was in Koh Kood 3 weeks ago, stayed at the Koh Kood Beach Resort. Best resort visit ever. My special someone enjoyed it very much. Best sunsets, best food, the waterfalls you went to were awesome. Sadly I'm back in Canada and missing Thailand very much. My 2 months there was not enough. Another place to visit is Pha Taem National Park, also close by is Wat Tham Khula Sawan temple with an amazing view of the Mekong River and Laos on the opposite bank.
I'm glad you made it to Koh Kood. My husband and I have travelled to this particular island since the mid 2000's. Every winter. Neverland Beach Resort our home away from home. Love your videos and have recommended you to our friends. Happy travels from another lucky Canadian gal.
Koh Kood is amazing a few yrs ago we had 5 nights at the Seafar Resort which were converted shipping containers right on the beach. Great memories cheers Paddy 😃🌞🌞
I have never been to Koh Kood but by looking at the map image you provided, it is near an island that I have been to off the coast of Cambodia: Koh Rong. The vibe and scenery look very similar. Looks like this is the new area to be!
Kood Island is Thailand's last border island in the Eastern Sea. The middle of this island drags straight through the mainland to be the tip of Thailand that borders Cambodia. According to the Siam-French Treaty There are many sources of energy under the sea.
Hiya Paddy, another beautiful day. Beautiful waterfalls. Gorgeous beaches. Cute dogs. Epic drone footage. Paradise. Perfect music. I hope you are better rested now. Nothing worse than broken sleep. Your cake looked tasty. You make going on a paddleboard look easy, Paddy. And it isn't. 😁Love your singsong. You always make me smile. Lovely, you met another westerner. Great video. Thank you for sharing. I hope you had a wonderful Birthday. Have a great week.
I've been watching your videos lately; I like your editing style. I recently got back to Thailand and have been making videos here as well. I look forward to seeing more of your content!
Thank you Paddy another stunning amazing video must put Koh Kood on my places to see. Waterfall just beautiful Coffee cannot go without my coffee each morning. Take Care Paddy.
Koh Kood is like you said a paradise island. Phuket and Samui are fantastic, but it just feels like any European hotspot with a Thai influence. Koh Chang and Koh Kood are the real Thai experience, as well as venturing into Isaan.
Never been to Koh Kood and thanks so much for sharing another piece of paradise with us Paddy😊 Another wonderful “Next Level Adventures” video! So glad to see you enjoying yourself on the Paddle board & was actually wonderful how you were filming yourself on it….🤔 Looking forward to seeing your next one:)

Great Video paddy. Not sure how I missed this from 1 year ago but I was travelling Sri Lanka at the time so that could be the reason. ( Thanks to the Budgeteers for inspiration)

Thank you for inspiring me throughout these past years. Tell Dreamy I said thanks for viewing our beautiful world.. Jason
I have only just fallen across your videos. Felt a little bit homesick as I was lucky enough to spend nearly 2 years living in Koh Kood almost 25 years ago. Very few paved roads back then and a lot of the beaches were only accessible by boat. So few Farangs visited the islands that I was treated like a celebrity by the kids when I went into the villages. Looks like I will be killing quite a bit of time catching up with your other Thai videos. Keep up the great camera work.
Beautiful Island, very chill. I'll have a guess at the breed of those dogs, they look very similar to a smaller Bull Mastiff, perhaps crossed with a Staffordshire terrier. Beautiful pups. Great viewing, thank you.
I also stayed at pyjamas back packers many years ago , and it was a great little place , with a fantastic owners and what value for money 👍 Love Koh Chang 🇹🇭

The color of sea water in the Gulf of Thailand is green emerald but in the Andaman sea is blue saffire. Both is differently beautiful.🥰🥰
