You're the only guy that I found that disassembled this thing. I had the full capacitor , unit won't start problem, but I couldn't get the thing open. Now typically I would have brute forced it, but it's a $4,000 machine. I had it open a yearago, but I was sure that I was missing something and there were some hidden screws, because I COULD NOT get it open. I struggled as much as you did to finally get it open, that said I was sure I was missing some hidden fasteners. Thanks for going first! All set now.
Glad it helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
Yep it's a T5 torx bit. BTW, I guitar pick works good as well to pry open the plastic. Beware it sure takes a long time to get to that date time error.

Is Samsung Magician a reliable cloning software for upgrading the main OS SSD with a newer one or is it better to backup old drive and restore to the new one?
good day, I want to buy myself XPS 17 9700 laptop, but I’m confused that the battery is 45% worn out, and I’ll have to buy a new one, but what else can and should be replaced? SSD, Memory, Processor, what do you recommend? Thank you.
Unless you plan to send me one for repair, I don't have the money to go buy random computers and take them apart. Lol These are all customer computers and I can't just take them apart to make videos. Imagine your doctor doing heart surgery that you don't need to make a video. Lol
Forgive me, as this is probably a very stupid question... What do you mean clone the original SSD drive? Would that be purely for backup purposes? I was going to upgrade my laptop (this exact model) by adding a second SSD (as Steam games are consuming a ton of my internal storage.) I wouldn't need to clone the original SSD to the new one if I wanted to use them for storage, would I? Sorry again for the stupid question and thank you so much for such an informative video!! Very very much appreciated!

I love how you really disassemble instead of tearing apart and breaking anything that is difficult.
Lol hopefully I don't break things.

Yeah, but fingernails work better. Lol

True lol
What do you use to clone the drive? Do you do it externally and then install?
This should help th-cam.com/video/4p5jFDzVwUw/w-d-xo.html
Hi, could you provide the screwdrivers you used? where can I get them on amazon? thanks

A technician kinda damaged one of the screw grip, while trying to open the back panel. How do you suggest that the back panel be opened in that case?
You either need a more exact sized screwdriver here amzn.to/492NB68 or a screw extractor here amzn.to/490wG4a

@@ItsBinhRepaired Yeah, Macrium, my choice is Acronis, but I guess both are good enough
@@gertwallen yup
@@ItsBinhRepaired From a purist mentality I believe that backup/restore is more reliable than cloning for data integrity

If you're putting a second SSD, you don't need to clone.
