interesting part of that is, that: anything within the past 20 years is "not that long ago" - but that is totally differently perceived if you are less then 30 yrs old. So, yes, seems like just yesterday that I used Napster and I'm rather surprised it isn't around anymore

I'm so glad I was born November 28th 1980, I made it in for the last of the Gen-Z, that simple life before was fun and full of stories and adventures, it was uncharted territories for everything, we just did stuff all the time, something as simple as taking a box and drawing wheels then act like we were cops and robbers on a high speed chase but the box went no where, we had sound effects for everything, grab a flashlight and make camp in the living room and tell scary stories, mix cooking ingredients to see it would glow or turn to some toxic slime, we were just endless with everything

I do remember the Speak'n Spell. Of course, being Italian, we sold it under a different name (The "Grillo Parlante", the original name of the "Jiminy Cricket" in the Pinocchio tale). The mold was the same, but the ROM was replaced by an Italian language rom and near the original Texas Instruments brand they applied a stylized Jiminy Cricket figure, just simplified enough to avoid Disney suing the importer company out to oblivion.
It was my very first computer (the second the C64C I fixed with your own teaching, sadly I couldn't find my Speak'n Spell even rummaging in my parent's house for weeks ^^; ) and I self-taught myself to read and with it a couple of months my parents shipped me to a catholic school.
The tale made sure that at least the nuns and my parents started looking at technology with a different eye: while my grandpa was still wary and scared of computers (even if he liked radios and TV sets), everyone else found computers were nice chill things because a kid in a small town learned to read from one of them.
And that's good, computers are meants to be useful :P

    Actually, interesting fact.
The game was originally called "Puck-man" in Japan, but when it came to North America, they wisely decided to change it to "Pac-man", fearing that "Puck" could far too easily be changed to a naughty word by mischievous graffiti artists at the arcades.
So, really, he's "Puck-man" and that makes more sense - that he's like a hockey puck - but, yeah, they were probably wise to make sure it couldn't be changed, as you know that once one person did it, all the arcade machines would end up with that first letter changed. It would bound to have become a meme.

You two were talking about things that girls and boy were into...things that girls liked that sat on shelves and dolls...stuff like that and boys like more tech stuff. Lets put put both on the same subject. Both like music. A girl most of the time would be very happy with a little radio with a cassette player that could be heard mostly in their room. A boy...well, we liked 200 watts per channel hifi with monster speakers, 20 band EQ, reverb, auto reverse cassette deck, the best turntable and all the accessories that could fill a whole wall. Not only did the whole house listen to what we were...but so was the whole neighborhood. I still have my teenage years stereo receiver. Pioneer SX1980.

PacMan Cardboard Box - possible PCB reference for this video? Just a thought. (Or Pizza Cardboard Box?). I'd assume the ghosts have eaten the missing slice - although the slice is actually restored while PacMan is moving, so, perhaps not. And also to consider his eyes olives? Just a thought. LOL. (Perhaps the piece which is restored is a bit of pineapple that he is eating? LOL).

Pinball Dreams Amiga amazing game, the Nightmare table is my best with that funky music that gets more crazy the better you do.

So Ladyfractic changes her hair every episode? Makes me think back to how Spitting Image portrayed Madonna, and how every time she appeared her hair color and/or style would be changed. You know, come to think of it, I've never seen Madonna and Ladyfractic in the same place at the same time. Hmmm.... Is there something you're all hiding from us?
Ohhh... Everyone knows PCB stands for Puppyfractic Clobbered by Boxes. Speaking of clobbered, ouch.. I hope that poor Speak 'n Spell is okay.
Another fun show. Can't wait until the next one.

My first computer was the C64 and as you are a C64 user. You must know of T2 cart, Star Paws and the Dizzy games!! I remember when games for this machine. Were only £1.99, £2.99+ when brand new. They were the days! I don't miss the 30 minutes loading screen times though.
