You lucky git, a500 mini. Well can not complain too much, finally got my hands on a cdtv for £200 and as for wham bars they used to be massive and I loved them now they are tiny and twice the price.and it's the cd32 gamepad not the cdtv one ,😂😂😂 anyhoo good video.

My channel when it was active would mostly post video versions of my radio comedy content. My scetches would first air on upwards of 8 Canadian campus radio stations coast to coast. I'm hoping to get back into TH-cam in some form either late this year or sometime next once my work schedule calms down. Thank you again!
I will be hacking it when I get mine, so it plays the games from carousel from the USB stick, I created PCUAE for THEC64.... :) I have just add the internet to PCUAE so now can load in VICE Mode BBS Boards on my THEVIC20... :)

Fantastic episode of the absolutely brilliant RetroShow! This needs to be a full on TV show as you guys are so funny together on this and I feel that more people need to see how amazing you both are. The nostalgia of seeing your ZZap64 magazine in the shelves of WH Smith was fantastic and certainly worth every penny. Ladyfractic as always fantastic along side the equally fantastic Perifractic. The part of puppyfractic staring you out at the end of the episode CJ was so funny. Keep it up guys onwards to 1 million subscribers

Oh, Nimoy definitely had his "I am not Spock" period. Best documented in his autobiography "I Am Not Spock" in 1975. He'd gotten over it by the time it was time to make the movies and the later TV shows, best documented in his second autobiography "I Am Spock" in 1995.
I pre-ordered the amiga mini. I was going to buy the full size The C64, but that was before I ended up getting a real one. I've never had an amiga before. I've never done anything amiga related not even emulators. So it will be a new experience. I also thought it was really sweet when the dogs held each other. My dogs would never do that. They get all angry if they get too close except at bed time it's ok to lay against the other one. lol

Loving that A1200 keyboard and the colour is perfect, well i think it is. I am so looking forward to getting the Amiga mini am going to be killing all my free time on it for a fair bit as i have a fair few games i need to play again. An that wham bar is pure gold and great to eat as well well if i recall they was. An yes i so so so need that steampunk Amiga in my life, as always this was a great show and roll on the next one. I just noticed Briley Witch on the cover of one of the magazines on your table. By Sarah Jane Avory who I know from her work on Elite: Dangerous. So many nostalgic connections in every recipode! Thank you both so much for this show. You’ve put a smile on my face through literally some of the worst times of my life.
Perifractic is a generally talented fellow...except when he tries to channel Ali G. Ladyfractic has the patience of a saint :-) Fabulous caricature of you both! And fab to see "Zzap!", etc. back on shelves in Blighty. It's probably hard for modern computer kids to understand how devoted we were to that mag. I once rode my BMX over >10km of rough coastal roads in >40-degree (Celsius) heat because I'd heard there was only one copy of the "Bangkok Knights" issue left at our nearest newsagency. Got the magazine, drank a whole 1.25-litre bottle of cheap soft drink from the supermarket, then happily rode home again with "Zzap!" shoved down my T-shirt. Looking forward to the Amiga Mini, which I've ordered via Amazon Australia. Since I seem to be commenting on most bits of the episode... Fab, smooth-scrolling 3D take on "Asteroids"! Fab effort by those sisters to get their dad a Turbo Man! Fab everything! :-)
The A500 mini looks really cool, I am looking forward to the video on that little masterpiece of nostalgic reverie. Might be a bit small for retro word-processing though. Digita Wordworth v1.1 could work on it, as could Maxiplan. Maybe a play through of The Hound of Shadow might be interesting. I loved the steampunk Amiga, excellent work. Sort of a cross between the Amiga Computer and Warehouse 13. ARRSTEROIDS which does sound a little like a colloquial term for a painful medical complaint, looked fantastic. The RR logo worked well for the ship design and it had a sort of elegance I haven't seen since Blakes 7's Liberator design. Great news about the magazine. Nice mech keyboard for your A1200. I believe the only Amiga which had a truly mechanical keyboard was the A3000. I believe it used Cherry switches. Not sure about the earlier big box Amigas. Great show again, and I look forward to the next Retro Show.
Puppyfractic's stares were hilarious. Loved it when the pair of you joined in for a synchronised stare into space. Priceless! Techy stuff was good too 😁
Having never owned Commodore products as a kid, I waited for the C64 Maxi to be released so I could have a more authentic experience. I love it, and I've barely scratched the surface of the C64 library yet. I'm hoping to be able to do the same thing here if they release a THEA500 Maxi!

That A500 mini controller looks like it's somewhere between half and two thirds the size of the real CD32 controller. The original was not too large, so now I am a little worried about the ergonomics in that thing. It would not be good for my old man hands to use a too small controller for hours on end.

So thanks for dropping the impression before I had to stop the video. :) Two, I have not been enthused about The A500 Mini so far, partly because I never owned an Amiga, and partly because of how difficult it was to get The C64 Maxi in the US. But this funboxing may have changed my mind...

Never had a Scalextric either, but did have a TCR (Total Control Racing I think?!) set... similar to Scalextric but better IMO as it had a switch on the controller that made your car switch lanes. Would love to see one of those in action again.
Yes that's it. My friend who lived next door to me had one back in the 80s and I thought it was awesome being able to change lanes! I hade a Race And Chase if anyone remembers that, where the cars could perform U turns?!
I had one of the early TCR tracks in the late 70's. I remember it came with headlights on the cars. There was always an automatic pacer car as well as the racing cars. The problem was centrifugal / centripetal force on the bends always change tracks for you.
@@trance_trousers I had Race & Chase, the police car and Stingray(?). Great fun going over the see-saw bridge causing your opponent to have to turn around. My gran ran a pub and bought a huge 4-lane Scalextric layout 2nd hand and we had it in the attic of the pub. Old 60s cars, pits, stands, figures the lot. Amazing. Wish I had that now!

@@trance_trousers I had Race & Chase, the police car and Stingray(?). Great fun going over the see-saw bridge causing your opponent to have to turn around. My gran ran a pub and bought a huge 4-lane Scalextric layout 2nd hand and we had it in the attic of the pub. Old 60s cars, pits, stands, figures the lot. Amazing. Wish I had that now!
