  • I made this video back in September for Suicide Prevention/Awareness month but only posted it to my Facebook. I figured its due time I shared it more openly.
I've been afraid to make this video for 4 years.
I made this video in the same spot on the floor I first decided at 17 not to go through with my suicide plan.
I cried writing it, cried filming it, cried editing it, and cried watching the finished video. I'm not sure how it will come across to you, the viewer, but this means a lot to me.
The first part of the video is a letter I wrote to my younger self about what life will look like if he decides not to go through with his suicide plan.
The second part is a bit more of a reflection on everything.
Most people know I've battled depression for a long time, but I've always worried about talking about my struggles while I'm still struggling. I've come to accept that I might always have some struggles, but I am in a good enough place now that I feel I can be more open about my journey with my mental health.
