Google says “FUD “fear, uncertainty, and doubt,” and it refers to any negative opinions or news related to the cryptocurrency market” (had to look it up.. was curious myself, tbh)

I kind of feel the production value, while high, is frivolous. The content is what matters most, and the 10 million dollar studio was a great framing device. And even as high as the production value is, you can still see it slipping in places that give it a weird video game beta kind of feel.
IDK maybe it does drive engagement but I think Coffee built his empire on his excellent work, not flashy production.

Bro, that last part with the victims is shattered my heart. I sick of all the people telling them to "Do yUOr ResEaRch," completely ignored the shoes those people had been on. Sure, there is stupid people, but don't underestimate what the pressure of desperation can do to people.

well in todays time , journalists unfortunately aren't what they used to b , no matter where you're living . there are very few journalists today that dont create fake news to boost their careers while ignoring the real news
That's not saying much, we only have a handful worth their salt left and most of those have never really tackled crypto. I could see Adele Ferguson + 60 Minutes shredding this guy but she'd need time away from all the other scams she's probably fossicking through.

It’s crazy how similar all these scammers are, the obvious red flags, dubious past and then when they are caught after a rug pull that you could see coming from a mile away, the cognitive dissonance from this guy by defining the word stolen whilst outing yourself as a fraudster and liar is crazy but sounds so similar to others who are caught. He was on Lex Friedmans pod and JRE so he's being pushed further into the spotlight. This to got me thinking. One of the last things he said in this video is that crypto needs to be regulated. Governments around the world are already working towards or implementing CBDC's, central bank backed digital currency. It's obvious that no government will allow a competing currency against their national currency so what if Coffee is exposing all these scams so people will be more willing to accept CBDC's and not protest when every other crypto currency is made illegal. You can't create your own currency that challenges the dollar so why would anyone believe the FED would allow a crypto currency that challenges the FED coin? There's a possibility that Coffee is serving a purpose and that would help explain his sudden explosion in popularity and invention onto the biggest pods in America.

Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotion are the four things cults try to control before all else. Financial cults absolutely exist (look at MLMs, faux-FAs, cryptos, and NFTs), and this is exactly what you'll see.
FUD is very much a concept baked into the I/T parts of the BITE model

there's definitely a mental disconnect between tapping a few buttons on a screen compared to handing over thousands in cash. Lots of older people also find it difficult to understand the reach of the internet and that someone would even think of doing something like this.

The illusion is that as the community grew larger, the risk of failing get smaller while at the same time the potential rewards get bigger. This is contrary to the common sense in investing: peers are generally adversary and agglomeration is a disadvantage.
Same tactics are used by MLM and pyramid scheme to do recruitment and network expansion.
People want to believe. They want to believe even when they know they shouldn't. They feel others have things they want, and they feel like there is no other way to get it. They'll walk over live coals to drink lye, knowing it isn't the fountain of youth... But maybe, it could be...

Something that needs to be remembered is that these arent necessarily people who KEEP getting scammed. A lot of people only get scammed once, but a lot of people do need to get scammed once to become wary. I'm just grateful I learned the lesson at 12 on a video game rather than at 25 losing six thousand dollars...

Trying to watch scammers deny their theft because they weren't wearing a black and white striped shirt with a black mask and a big bag full of people's possessions is always so frustrating. "How can I steal off myself?" Because it's a wallet you own full of other people's money that they trusted you to invest.

it's a "question" that is extremely short yet requires an extremely nuanced answer, which he'll just interrupt or deflect anyway. thats why coffee is thinking what to say, because he can go into why it's stealing, but he knows it's stealing lol

I remember that guy in Peru or smth who was given like 300x his normal salary by mistake and then just ran away and started a new life. He could have used this defense, "I wasn't stealing, how could I steal what is already mine?"

Bravo to the mom and brother. They have guts, morals, ethics, great values and balls of steel. Even though someone is blood doesnt mean you should let them get away with vicious crimes.
