I think Dragons Den is much more appropriate. A mythological creature born of unchecked avarice, dragons horde wealth, are miserly, and will only help people if they benefit more out of an arrangement.
A nice healthy mixture of both with a dash of not knowing that other people do in fact...have TVs. Fun fact that pyramid schemes product had its stock plummet after this episode.
Made me wonder if he purposely went up there to shine a light on the scam. Doubt it, but it's astounding how he could say all those things and not see it's a pyramid.
Sadly, it happens. One of my coworkers tried getting me to join. She's a smart lady, used to do digital security, and when she described how you give 500$ and then get 3 people to join, each giving you 500, you pocket 1000$ and "re-submit" the other 500$ to go the person you signed up with, I was like "this sounds like a pyramid scheme." I even basically did what the lady did on the show, making the pyramid shape as I'm breaking it down, and she still kept insisting it's not a pyramid scheme. It was so bizarre. I stopped talking to her much after that since I realized she was only nice to me because she was planning on making the pitch. I think they're so desperate to get their money back that they refuse to admit to themselves it was a pyramid scheme.
I doubt it's scripted but is vetted and allowed in because it'll make a good show episode. Like the singing ones where they allow horrible singers in because hey you need someone to crash and burn on national tv.

The easiest way to destroy scams like the first one is by asking simple questions: 1. Where is the money coming from if it's free to sign up? 2. Wich retailers are partnering with your program? 3. Same here! I'm glad the dragons let the first guy finish his pitch so they could dissect it afterward & explain to the audience exactly why it's a big old scam. I know of this scheme . One of my relatives was in it. They literally sold the water filtered out as waste in this aqua filters as drinkable water which can heal . It was at an outrageous price. A fcking scam.
I'm literally dying from second hand embarrassement. 😂😂😂😂
I love how the Dragon's Den woman is like, "Let him finish," while the men are interjecting, then just swoops in with a succinct, "I get it: it's a pyramid scheme."
I knew from the starting what kind of person she was, she's the friend who doesn't bully you w her friends but is actually the worst bully, the one who silently & passively mocks you, but you think she's your friend bc she smiles with you, but at the same time makes you/say or do things that she knows will get you laughed at, bc it's an inside joke when you say or d some certain things with her friends
The DD woman knew from the start it was a pyramid scheme, but didn't want to let the other guy ruin the show to early by telling him no no no let him talk! , not saying she's bad person I love her lmao

See kevin is truely the nicest person. He wasnt even going to let that guy get far enough into his pitch to get shamed. There is a hidden kindness in being a arse. One of the many reasons I love watching him break down a bussniss.
And then there's the nice lady, constantly handing him more shovels to dig his own grave with
@@Runix1 The truth hurt, Kevin is actually and Asshole Angel while the other lady is a Nice Devil =))))
in that show where they follow the people after the sharks invest, Kevin is also the best one to invest with. From the episodes I've seen, the other sharks just show up and ask how things are going while Kevin seems very involved through the whole process.
Thats why I like Kevin. He's also honest about who he is in a self assured way.
Idk, to me it seems more like one of those classic alpha business man moves that they did all in the time in the 80s and 90s. It feels like he's trying to pysch him out by shaking his confidence, which tbf they're all clearly insulted and actively hostile to him. It's like going on a Gordon Ramsay show and offering him some leftovers you found in the back of the fridge.
That first dude's first mistake was trusting a 'business opportunity' from his ex wife.

"Pyramid-multi-level-direct marketing"
As a person who has encountered pyramid schemes, this is the best thing i've heard all year

Absolutely bonkers. What a beautiful line
"it's good old pyramid multi-level direct marketing"

That was a feild so full of red flags it looked like a coke addicted land surveyors last day on the job.
He might as well said "its a Sham, Scam, Fraud marketing scheme"

You KNOW the producers of the show, while screening potential people to pitch on the show, saw these auditions and were like "Ohhh the investors would have a field day with them, get the on the show!"
Well yea..thats their job..
American Idol formula. In which the pre-screened contestants are even TOLD before they first see the judges, "Some of you are here because you're really good, some of you are here because you're really bad..."
And then those really bad people STILL act surprised...
I feel bad since most of them are too dumb to know what they got themselves into, but of course the sharks/dragons won't be the ones to dig them out since it's not that kind of show. Maybe in a different scenario, but they're in "investment mode". I wish rich people would be in "charity mode" more often, but such is the way of the world.
"This'll be funny."
That is BRUTAL, dude 😂

I appreciate The Dragon’s den let this guy make a pitch so that people could see how to dissect a bad deal
That is why I love the womanin red because she wanted to let hik finish so she can properly deflect it.
Absolutely yes !
I’m just highly amused by these guys getting destroyed. I’m I a bad person?
Shark tank has done it as well. Some dude pitched a machine that makes gold
Same here! I'm glad the dragons let the first guy finish his pitch so they could dissect it afterward & explain to the audience exactly why it's a big old scam. I think it's great how they help people identify the way pyramid schemes (or "multi-level marketing" schemes, as they're now called) are commonly pitched, so that the folks watching this show at home don't fall prey to horrible scams like this.
I find it hilarious that the name of the show changes to a different animal and different location in other countries. In Denmark it's a Lion's Den, in Germany a Lion's Cave, in Romania it's a Lion's Arena, in Croatia it's a Dragon's Nest, in Japan it's Money Tigers, in Sri Lanka it's a Wall of Tuskers and the French just ask "Who wants to be my business partner?"
Wonder what that says about the French 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And in the US it’s Shark Tank 🦈
Idioms are a wonderful thing!

They should have used the first guy to investigate whos at the top of the pyramid scheme, so at least we get a happy ending because its just sad watching him trying to save the sinking boat hes in

First time to this channel. I want to say that I was totally absorbed by the two strands of hair clinging to the foam surrounding the microphone. I was so hyper aware of these two hairs that from 9:49 to 9:51, three entire seconds, I was laser-focused on the fact that this could be their end! It was entirely feasible that Coffeezilla could have dislodged them, brushed them off, completely breaking the force which bound these two hairs to the black foam. He failed. It was unsuccessful. So, I continued watching this video, lost within black foam, watching two clinging strands of hair defy all efforts of removal while successfully grabbing the mental and emotional attention of their audience. An audience of one. Me. What a badass video! I never imagined, until today, that two strands of motionless hair could be so entertaining. Thanks.
