- We spent two nights at the Ferry Meadows Caravan and Motorhome Club Site and walked around the Nene Country Park in January 2020.

Thanks for watching our videos. We include all things to do with motorhomes, caravans and the great outdoors. We mainly tour the UK and camp around 80 nights per year in our 2017 Swift Bolero.

Roman Point looks interesting. Ferry Meadows is pretty. Nice walking paths. Nice to see the heron, geese and swans. Fun seeing Oscar and Sophie. Very nice video, Trev and Sue.

It was quiet and peaceful. We visited a Motorhome Show on the Saturday and that was all. The rest of the time we just enjoyed the country park. Thanks so much for watching 😁 Trev n Sue

Poshcats Camping Freddie is the ears for himself and Zoey. Zoey is deaf now, but she still sees well enough that she can spot a person or dog off in the distance and let them know she’s got her eye on them. Ours have spent most of their lives in the bush and it’s taken a few years for them to get used to seeing other dogs. Always embarrassing when your dog is the silly one making a fuss.

Thank you, this campsite is open all year round but looks much nicer in spring when the trees, bushes and flowers are all full of colour. There are more birds on the water then too. It was nice to see the site in winter for a short break. Have a good week 😁 Trev

The mute swans 🦢 are beautiful and very tame. There was fewer geese this time but being January I believe a lot have flown south. Thanks for watching 😁 Trev

Happy Place Camping you are right, the big white birds are swans and black ones Canadian Geese. The light coloured ones are Greylag Geese. The big bird that flew off was a grey heron. 😄 Thanks for your lovely comments 👍🏻

Hello, it looks lovely there, roll on spring and summer though, these places will be even better with some warmth in the air ! ive seen some snowdrops in Suffolk , just peeping through the ground , its on its way, thanks Trev and Sue, safe travels and take care, i miss my motor home.

Oh dear, did it sound disrespectful? I usually get drawn to art. Pity it hasn’t been looked after. If anyone is reading this I am sorry but I just said what I saw. If it had looked like a pile of sticks I would have said so. Apart from that we had a lovely time 😄 Trev

It's been a few years since I visited ferry meadows with my granddaughter.
Did they do a dog walk on site as I was told a few years ago that they was.
Ice cream van came round every night bit too cold now though.

There’s a lot going on at Ferry Meadows all year round. The steam railway and some of the organised events are fewer in the winter. Thanks so much for watching 😁 Trev

We have never been in January. The Nene Park was very peaceful and still but grey until the sun tried to come out. Certainly nicer in summer with more colours and birds on the lakes. Thanks for watching 👍🏻 Trev
Caravan clubs are big in the UK aren't they. We have something like that in the USA. In our west we have the 1000 trails club. It was so nice to meet you in chat today. We do travel too

Poshcats Camping our next free weekend is mid March. So watching everyone else’s adventures is the only camping we do
Paul and Bianca that’s a shame but March will soon be here. We have a big trip planned in February but nothing yet in the diary for March. I am sure we will find somewhere for weekend or two. 😁

The Nene Valley Steam Railway is right next door too. My 2019 valentines Vlog includes this if you want a quick peek. It takes you into Peterborough and back, very nice. Cheers Andrew 👍🏻 Trev

The shop and cafe was open 10am to 4pm and very busy. We chose not to use it and went to the Notcutts garden centre up the road which was disappointing hence we didn’t use the footage. Thanks for watching 😀 Trev

We have been on the site quite a few times and always find new walks, have you walked towards the Rowing and Canoeing Course as there are some lovely sculptures on the route Peterborough sculpture park?.
We have walked some of it. I would like to take bikes but forgot this time. There is a lot of open space there, it’s lovely 😊 thanks for watching 👍🏻 Trev
You definitely went best side the other side of the road is Normally full of screaming kids in the summer pitch 33 I normal go for .
