Decided to do a challenge to turn Williams into champions in the first season and I might have taken it to far, to the point where my microphone had enough of my shenanigans, hence a heavily crammed togheter second part. Been sitting and working with this most of the day to the point where I kinda gave up on editing it to much. Everything about this video needs a bit of work so I might redo this challenge on hard in the future and make it into a series with potentially shorter episodes someday. Hope you still enjoy it even with the scuff and hopefully I will still be able to piece togheter a somewhat comprehensible race strategy guide for tommorow. Hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy the race tommorow, sprint today was entertaining so looking forward to it myself.
Im a complete idiot so I’m not good at this game. I can’t get a team in champions contention but it takes me a few seasons. You made this game fun for me again 😂 thanks!
The problem on f1 manager 2023 is the cost cap designs cost more than f1 manager 22 and the new thing the high risk when you have to change the car parts it’s a joke how we can fix this problem and earn more money whithout losing to much in designs and manufacturers
I know your struggle with Albon, he was an actual pain in the ass when I had him as my driver in my Williams carreer. Even Logan put the car less times in the wall the Albon did.
You know something funny in my Mercedes Save in season one Albon’s been carrying them he’s gotten some good results in a few races he was annoying the crap out of me at the Belgium Sprint race
For my next trick I think I either need to do this again on hard, or just keep going down the list of teams until I am unable to win the championship. Glad you like the idea!
@@NeroBax are you doing one season as two seasons would be to easy? If so can the chat suggest staff and driver combinations. I know you showed a mod that you choose your our drivers from any available in the game. What happens if you took RBR and replaced the staff with young talented staff and max and perze will high potential rookies. Could you win in season 1 due to the car?
Could be fun thing to try out, particularly as Alonso was the main reason this went well. It's a bit difficult to say at the moment as the Alpha Tauri save at the moment is showing that drivers in the 60s will struggle even with the best car, but I think it would be doable for drivers in 70-80 range. If there is any talents you have in mind let me know.
Could put him in the Red Bull idea for sure, I am thinking of keeping the current drivers and making a second season with this one a recovery season guide, basically how to get yourself out of a hole due to lacking research.
This video and idea were excellent. Once again, you made it look too easy. I hope you make a Season 2, as I am eager to see how you catch up after doing no research in Season 1. I am also eager to hear what you learned from taking on this challenge. Is rushing now the way to go, compared to being thorough? Would replacing Albon with a "wonder kid" have actually made the challenge more difficult, since you would have had to guide them through all the races and qualifying? Does Frontier need to make the finances more challenging in the game? Money seemed to be no issue at all.
For starters I am uncertain if I would've been able to pull this off without Alonso, as Albon would tend to make errors Alonso didn't and while Alonso would pull away from the Red Bulls Albon was unable to do the same most of the time. Switching Albon out with a talent probably wouldn't have made a huge difference while switching out Alonso would. The reason why money seemed to not be an issue for this one is twofold. I only upgraded the factory for my facilities, that was it. (Realized I forgot the helipad exist) We also skipped about a month and a half in development by doing design only and we also got away with just buying 2 extra ERS as our components so the cost there was just 5 Million. Financially I'd say this is a worse method than doing a research approach after reaching board goals, as you will usually have done more building than just a single facility upgrade. So there was some limitations to spending due to this approach.
This was a fine way to fix the audio issue. I also think going through the more "boring" parts of a season in a faster way could be nice, but that would in theory also mean more work for you and you already put a lot of time into these things. So it is more up to you i'd say lol
So basically design part, then do it again before actually fitting it to the car? Won't that mean you manufacture more parts given the life of the new parts 🤔
No the reason why we design several times before we manufacture the final design in order to not manufacture anything with minmal gains. The performance gain from minimal weight is more than worth it.
Generally the way I enjoy doing it is by making 1-2 versions of each part, then just focusing research for the rest of the season. This video is an extreme test where I focused design for the entire season, as such we have done no reserach and the car is going to be fairly bad next year as a result.
Is this based on the base comparison you get at the start of the season? That one is incredibly inacurate as it takes the car from last year (with specialized parts) and compares them to this years car without any upgrades, basically every part with everything in the middle with middle lifespan. As such as soon as you upgrade your car just a little bit you will get all that performance and more back.
@@NeroBax No. This is based on my car after my first round of upgrades ( when I say first round....I mean probably 4 parts designed and manufactured before Bahrain) I don't what the problem is. My staff are not incredible but certainly not the worst. I researched each part a minimum of 3 times the previous year. My facilities are all upgraded at least once. The car just does not want to be good 🤣 Season 1 after the 2 upgrades to each part I was finishing 5th-8th consistently. Obviously moving closer to 8th/9th towards the end of the season as others did their designs. Season 2 i am struggling to get 12th.
@@philstansfield Hard to say then unless you got a -30% to cornering regulation, that is gonna hit you rather hard even if you did 3 researches to each part.
Wind/CFD is basically a statboost and extra expertise gain, you can freely make parts without it. You aren't the only one who has been bambozled by this
@@NeroBaxHello, does it make sense to use CFD/Wind only for special parts? for example front wing or underbody? Does CFD bring advantages for the further development of all subsequent parts? Does it make sense to use CFD 2x or 3x in a parts group or do you only use it once per part group? you always use all the hours in one part, doesn't it make sense to divide it into several parts? so many questions... thank you for your videos, they are really well done!😁
He already drops 2 overall points before they even get to the halfway point. By the time the first season ends, Stroll is right up there with him at Aston Martin. Thing is though, when you're doing a 1 season challenge like this, Alonso is the perfect guy because while your car is at it's weakest, he is at his strongest.
Genial me gusta que levantes a Williams, es una Scuderia histórica ❤, en la segunda temporada firma con el motorista Renault, así revives el icónico equipo de los 90 😊.
Williams has a car that is pretty decent to begin with, but you can take the theory of focusing cornering here and apply it to any team. Just make sure for cooling you max it on the sidepods and suspension as those are your main ways of getting engine and brake cooling.

Really good showcase of car design done right. An interesting challenge. Well executed!
You could take the worst car in f1 history and get a win with it within 5 races 😂
That's shiteeeee
Its in easy mode....

Are you the New Newey on f1 Manager ??
Great vid, new vid idea how to install mods?
Why did the first underfloor not have high speed slider?
I value cornering more than top speed, hence no top speed slider to allow for more cornering downforce.
Do it on hard mode without sacraficing the next season

You can speed up design with rushed and assigning engineers.
