My husband was crossing the street to get to work one morning. A driver who was speeding hit my husband, the guy was driving 45mph. It threw my husband about 30 feet into the cross street and it totaled the driver's truck. The guy fled the scene and a witness chased him to get tag info. The coward left my husband in the road to die like a stray. Don't ask how my husband survived, let alone walked away, that's a miracle in itself. But he's been unable to work due to pain issues, the driver got a slap on the wrist of one year felony probation. That mrfr changed our family's entire life that day, one we still haven't recovered from. That was in 2017, and husband STILL hasn't been able to get disability due to lack of ability to work.

Even if someone is fully capable of driving a car at 200 mph through crowded streets without hitting anything, at even 20 or 30 over the speed limit, you're moving so fast that people won't even see you before they pull out because you're too far away. All it takes is for one pedestrian or car to pop out from between two cars on the side and it's all over. There are certain things that no amount of driving skill will be able to prevent and someone who's actually a professional would know that. This guy isn't a good driver he's complacent because he hasn't had a major wreck yet.

I really learned about my car and about my capabilities. There's always someone there to help you out to give you pointers as well as help fix your car when it breaks down. Everything I learned has helped me all the way into my fifties.
One time I got my starter replaced, the mechanic bent an accelerator wire. Out of blue when I would go up a hill the van would accelerate full out and the breaks wouldn't stop it. My knowledge kicked in and I threw it in neutral to stop. I didn't panic.

Well Bruce, I know you and your team made this video 7 months ago, but I thought I'd let you know this little fact on car rentals. New York state is one of the few states that made it to where rental car companies had to "low" the age to 18 (brain can't think of a better way to say it). You'll just be charged a young renters fee when you rent a car. Something like $1-$100 (it will vary from state to state and what car on the set number for the fee). I did enjoy your video. And I agree with the hat on your desk. There are so many people that will record themselves doing this and post it. There was one I watched where a black mustang had a 360 camera on top of it and was speeding in front of cops (I think in Florida). The best part of the video (at least for the cop) was the license plate was in full frame and in like 1080p. Man, what a world we live in today. Well, I hope I didn't go into much of a rant. But I hope you and your team have a great day, afternoon, evening and night. #stopselfsnitchin

His car lost control when he was doing 140 mph around a 4 0 mph turn and he slammed the car into a 2000 lb Rock killing her. Sadly there were no consequences because he wasn't drunk. A Minnesota State Patrol Officer here in Rochester was recently charged over an accident where he killed an 18 year old and seriously injured 2 other teens. The alleged claim is that he was doing 83 in a 40 without his lights and siren being activated and have been doing close to 100 on US 52 in an attempt to catch someone who was speeding and not wearing their seatbelt. It has also been said that according to his employment records, this was not the first time he did this. In this case, the teen driver turned in front of him not realizing that he was doing more than double the speed limit.
The charged include one count of second-degree manslaughter (felony), one count criminal vehicular homicide (felony), five counts criminal vehicular operation (felony), reckless driving (gross misdemeanor) and one count of careless driving (misdemeanor).
Note that I say alleged because the trooper has not been convicted but the trial is expected to be in September.

New York is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, traffic is crazy and bike lanes alleviate traffic in high density cities. If everyone in New Yorke used a car, the city would be constantly locked in a traffic jam. If you like driving on the road, instead of being stranded in traffic jams, support bike lanes. If the locals drive bikes on the bike lane, traffic will be better and there will be cleaner air in the city for people to breath. Everyone hates traffic jams; they are expensive and unnecessary.

My cousin's son has been in a coma since March 10, 2024, because of a police chase. The police chassd this guy for 10 miles because he didn't stop for a traffic infraction. Speeds exceeded 100 mph. His car was struck on the driver's side, going over 100 mph. The man died at the scene. I don't understand why this chase was necessary. They had his information from his plate. They could pick up the guy whenever they wanted. The doctors are telling the family he will never wake up.
Edit: 06/04/24: We have a funeral to attend on Thursday. Of course, the guy should have stopped. As well as the police should also have terminated the chase when the speeds exceeded 100 MPH. Right now, I don't really care who is at fault. The only thing I know with 100% certainty is a kind, gentle man is gone. His wife has lost her husband, his children have lost their father. Squeezes issue was that he broke the rules of engagement too many times and never had a consequence.
Even in the street racing scene he's breaking code man.
You have few rules but they exist for a reason.
    1. Never drive with your ego, you gotta be real and honest. Driving can have real consequences when you're going fast. Knowing your limits and respecting that is key. Most never crash for this reason, the few that do, it usually always boils down to this rule. Never drive with your ego.
    2. Never ANTAGONIZE the cops. This is general rule of thumb, but people today just think cops don't mean anything anymore. If there are cops, funs over, you don't go where cops are. You don't go where people are. Should go without saying.
    3. Never crash. Fun is why we're doing it but never involve random people if you can help it. That's supposed to be the point. Going 200+ where there's traffic is asinine, you're supposed to account for other people.
200+ is like empty highway near the border that stretches for miles and not a soul is around

I absolutely HATE reckless drivers. I was friends with a girl I’ll call G when I was a teenager. We lived in a small town, and I was friends with her when I was 15. I moved away for several years, and then came back to visit. G had gotten a restricted license (Can’t drive at night without an adult, but the rest is fine). I had never ridden in a car with her before. I IMMEDIATELY regretted getting into a car with her. She drove like a bat out of hell. We actually zoomed around a highway side GRAVE of TWO of her GOOD FRIENDS that had DIED bc of reckless driving on that same road, and she didn’t care. I was so afraid, I begged her “Please, please PLEASE just stop, just drive normal and take me home, PLEASE!!!!!!” I was crying I was so scared. She wouldn’t listen. Finally, my fear turned to rage, and I said “If you gun the engine one more time I swear to god, I will beat the shit out of you, I don’t care. Just fucking STOP IT!!!!!!” She laughed at me, the light turned green, and she gunned the engine. I slammed my fist into her face as hard as I could- one time. I wanted to keep going bc I was so angry, but that one punch was enough to make her drive like a normal person. She dropped me off at my house, and I NEVER spoke to her again.
Let me make it clear- I am not advocating using physical violence to achieve your aims. That is NOT the way you should try to resolve conflict.
But in my case, in this specific moment, I was genuinely terrified and afraid for my life, and I did what I thought I had to. And I’m not sorry.
