In india at my home its called palakura pappu. Process is bit different but final product is this. Highly recommend you to make it your self or come to Hyderabad
Even easier and quicker is skip the initial boil red lentil bit. Once added to the sauce add water then, its softens so quick you don’t have to do the initial boiling part. 👍🏾

People love to make Indian recipes which is great-but in the same breath, it should be acknowledged. That also makes it easier for people to recreate the meal. This is a staple meal for millions of Indians and simply calling it daal would go a long way.

You don’t need chicken bouillon- I’d swap it with garam masala. Spice is customizable to your taste. I like to also add ginger when I add the garlic. Also you can use one pot for everything. Rinse lentils in a pot of water before you cook. Do the onions, then add your garlic, ginger and fry spices, then add the other vegetables like potato, carrot or tomato, then add lentil and water and simmer down. You can add quicker cooking veggies at the end, be it spinach, frozen peas etc. Btw this is called daal. It’s an Indian dish and there are hundreds of recipes for it online
My mum makes a similar dish for herself frequently. She's vegan and I don't normally eat her food but when she makes it I always have some because it's so delicious

You don't need to wash the cooked lentils again after boiling. You can add it with its boiled water directly. It has all the nutrients in water.
