THAT'S EXACTLY where your work is." Literally felt it in my soul, and in the part of me that feels closed up afraid to speak in my chest. This is what I've realized lately, how afraid I am to speak and share my voice and simply be. To not make others feel uncomfortable because I'm being too much, and especially because of my insecurities doubts and childhood stories. But I LOVE to connect with people and there are so many times I want to connect + speak, but I get stuck in this shell. It's crazy I heard this today, because I knew I had work to do there but this just confirmed it..

Being a visual artist, for the longest time I relied on my works to "speak for themselves", completely neglecting my duty as the creator to explain what on earth my artworks mean.
I've just recently started showing my face and sharing my voice on social media. And though (to my surprise) it turns out that I actually enjoy speaking on camera, it still provokes an enormous ammount of anxiety, where I have to write down to a letter what I'm gonna say, rehearse it a thousand of times, take a hundred of takes before my video starts looking somewhat natural...🙈
So, yes, this course couldn't be more timely and more aligned with my current challenges:)

Oh wow. I felt a little bummed coming from this, wishing we had more information that wasn't behind a paywall, and I felt so closed off, even just alone in my house, and like I couldn't speak so I forced myself to and the words were "Just speak"
But Sahara made me think about tone, which I never had before, and I realized I sound *exasperated*. Then I realized I ALWAYS sound exasperated. So I guess I did take something big from this. Time to do the shadow work to figure out why I talk that way because It definitely mirrors my mood.
