@@kristelpi652 just because she lived as an artist in New York and later in London through the sixties, I don't believe her. But also, consider that not only she was brought up to London by the Indica Gallery, an art initiative which was also a magazine that was created by John Dunbar and Peter Asher (Jane Asher's brother) and was funded by Paul McCartney. And just because that's not enough, it's confirmed by Paul that Yoko in 1966 wanted to have manuscripts to make them a gift for John Cage's birthday; she went to Cavendish Avenue in St. John's Wood to visit Paul's house to ask for the manuscript for the song 'The Word'. McCartney rejected that idea right on the door, because he needed permission from John to know what to do. Now, considering she lived in New York at the height of Beatlemania, moved to London thanks to an art collective founded by Jane Asher's brother (Jane Asher was Paul McCartney's girlfriend) and not only that, but that she contacted a Beatle to get one of his manuscripts to make it a gift, and was pointed that they needed the permission of both McCartney and Lennon to have it, you fully know well that she is lying and she knew of The Beatles.
It seems like this was recorded yesterday. True talent is ageless and timeless. I am so glad these videos are available for young musicians to see and hopefully be inspired by. We need to return to actual, quality sound.
Yet Paul is the more versatile, better singer! 4 octave voice - incredible!

What I have always appreciated about The Beatles is their studio sessions were always about recording the 'group'. I know they did a lot of over dubs and experimented with the studio trickery of their time, but the core was always the ensemble. For me, when I listen to them even today, this ensemble 'band' approach is still, even after 50 years, what I find most attractive.
I keep coming back to this. This music is amazing. It has been in my head all day. All the sounds, they just meld so well. "And from the first time that she really..." then the drums "done me". Something about that is just incredible. The cadence of it, maybe. The singer's voice. I always thought this was some cheesy boy band and never paid much attention. Granted it's a bit before my time. But this is the music I need in my life right now.
Because they were these rock giants it's amazingly inspiring to see them as this woodsheding garage band. No song is perfect straight away, so a good band must be collectively malleable to get it there. Brilliant
i don't know. their less-than-perfect quality is perfect in itself, same as the stones. i'd prefer pure soulful rock than a jazz outfit that can play the same songs the same way backwards and forwards.
I never knew just how instrumental (literally) Billy Preston was in the creation of this album and the footage that went along with it. Absolutely amazing. For those who haven't seen The Beatles : Get Back, it is a must see.
Its just incomprehensible that these four guys, having so much fun while creating ~THAT MAGICAL MUSIC ~ which was unique to them.... could, shortly afterwards, split up and never again join forces to record the music they were famous for. They gave us so much! But we still want more. I feel so fortunate to have lived through the entirety of THE BEATLES!
It's so interesting to see the changes a song goes through before it's it's recorded and released as a finial product. The greatest band in history had to hammer out all the details to achieve a monumental sound. Billy Preston had a large part in that. He was the fifth Beatle!
Billy Preston, you legend. It's great that a young generation will get to see Billy Preston through this film. If you give him a Google you'll see he had a legendary career but said his favourite moment musically was on that roof with The Beatles.
Peter Jackson is a Director who put his mindset as a Beatles fan, & that's why he was so eager to share. This was a true Labor of Love & not something that was just slapped together as another documentary. (Though we would appreciate that as well) ! The added hours of footage could have been for "his eyes & ears only", but that's not how Peter rolls. That's why he took on this project in the first place. He is the ONLY person who made it possible for us remaining Beatles fans to see this footage in our lifetime. (Including Paul & Ringo) Not to mention the full restoration! If not for Peter, for sure it would have sat another half a century in the vault, which newer fans wouldn't "relate & appreciate" as much as us 1st generation fans.
You're giving us a lift Bill! Geesh, Billy is really good. Just feeling it and playing without looking and adding his soul to the mix. He is a real instrumentalist and the Beatles knew it. But they met him before they were famous so that was a plus.
Wonderful to see them just as they were, human with immense talent. Billy Preston brought such a refreshing musical glue and delivered imo a amazing cover of Isn’t It A Pity thirty three years later at the Concert For George😎👌
Watched it this morning. Seeing them rehearsing, writing and watching their songs evolve from the beginnings is truly amazing. Can't wait for the next part!
The Beatles, before all the fame and glory, is first and foremost the greatest and most tragic love story of all time. Of 4 brothers who grew up together and found out that the world that they created together has no space left for each other.
If they only knew then, how special this would be in 2022. I dont know, maybe you have to be a real Beatles fan, but this music, all of their music, takes me to a very special place. I love these guys.
What was awesome about the documentary was how it showed how truly unpretentious these guys were. The whole time they're in the studio messing around and experimenting, trying to find out what peaks their own interests. The creativity came so naturally to all of them and their music was genuine
52 years ago--sounds like yesterday and these songs are still fresh!! Critics panned this album but when you just listen then by God some great music tickles your ears!! What a joy to watch them create--not working, but creating more beautiful music. Let's also not dismiss Billy Preston who was fantastic during these sessions. Nobody else EVER spent that much time in the studio outside of the 4 lads!! Billy was cooking on the keyboard and the organ!! Yeah baby--Beatles and Billy in their musical laboratory in 1969!!!! WOW!!!!!!!

Billy Preston really changed the whole mood of this project, the way he fit in with his taste and musicality (the voicings of the Fender Rhodes) made the four Beatles smile again ...just watch at their happiness and smiling faces having a keyboard behind them...just amazing,,,
No matter how wonderful guests come, the Beatles' four charms and auras are overwhelming.
George stopping rehearsals for tea and sandwiches is the most George thing ever
Is it more George than being interesting in Indian culture?
;-)
The Beatles softcover book that Yoko is reading in this clip, the design looks ultra fresh, crisp and modern. The 60s really accelerated modern concepts...which The Beatles helped usher in.
I was thinking the same thing - how funny to see her reading up on The Beatles in what looks like some modern bookstore summary of the band.
@@VideoAmericanStyle she said in an interview that she honestly didn’t know who john lennon was when she met him so yeah
@@kristelpi652 That's...a lie !!
@@kristelpi652 hahaha 🤣 sure!!
I miss the Beatles! How lucky we were to grow up with them.
It seems like this was recorded yesterday. True talent is ageless and timeless. I am so glad these videos are available for young musicians to see and hopefully be inspired by. We need to return to actual, quality sound.
John's voice had an otherworldly ability to sound energetic/stressed yet still serve the tune perfectly.
Well they hardly did it 1967 through 1968. That's why they wanted to get back to it for the documentary
SO HYPE FOR TOMORROW 😍
I keep coming back to this. This music is amazing. It has been in my head all day. All the sounds, they just meld so well. "And from the first time that she really..." then the drums "done me". Something about that is just incredible. The cadence of it, maybe. The singer's voice.
I always thought this was some cheesy boy band and never paid much attention. Granted it's a bit before my time. But this is the music I need in my life right now.
Paul looked so inspired when he said “weeks…” as in relieved that they had a spark. Took pressure off them all. Good on you Billy.
Beautiful. It is wonderful to see John & George so.....alive.
Impossible not to look at Billy jamming and not smile. Bringing him in was a masterstroke
Fantastic song!!!!! John’s voice is killer. I miss that man!!
Every light bulb will burn out eventually...so did the Beatles...so will the Sun.
I always think that
Still getting chills of anticipation.
The Beatles never stop to amazes me!
Billy Preston put a smile on everyone's face. Not to speak of those wonderful keyboards.
It's so interesting to see the changes a song goes through before it's it's recorded and released as a finial product. The greatest band in history had to hammer out all the details to achieve a monumental sound. Billy Preston had a large part in that. He was the fifth Beatle!
It does feel like the night before Xmas morning. Excited beyond words!
Sensacional. The Beatles são o máximo. Ansioso pra assistir Get Back!
eu tmb tô kk
Estou de acordo contigo
It's amazing how high quality it would seem too
@@jockniv3609 It's true, the beatles are without a doubt the best band in the world
Para a gente, só daqui uns 3 anos
Billy Preston, you legend. It's great that a young generation will get to see Billy Preston through this film. If you give him a Google you'll see he had a legendary career but said his favourite moment musically was on that roof with The Beatles.
For some reason Billy Preston big smile at the end made me tear up. Wonderful footage.
0:48 If you were composing this song and the drummer comes with this cymbal part, you automatically know your drummer is a genius.
Gotta love this band
You must check out on TH-cam a Dutch band called The Analogues. They really keep The Beatles’ music alive.
literally one of my favorite songs ever so glad i can see this!
Wow you must be a huge fan of the Beatles 🥺🥰.
I was a fan since I was 12 and now am still a fan 😭, what’s your favorite Beatles song ?
perfect!! Beatles is perfect and amazing
I cannot imagine these songs without Billy’s contributions, man they are just so good.
I was checking out Billy's face as he was playing and wondering what he was thinking. "Damn, i'm playing with The Beatles."
and when they broke up, he said, who's next? oh... THE STONES
One of my all time favorite tunes! I Love The Beatles, and Billy Preston as well. Sending Peace & Love to all!
Sounds like a pretty good rehearsal !! This is what happens when you get dynamic musicians together !! 👍👏👏👏😊🎸🎹🥁🎤
Do any of you realize how incredibly fortunate we all are to have this footage?
You're giving us a lift Bill! Geesh, Billy is really good. Just feeling it and playing without looking and adding his soul to the mix. He is a real instrumentalist and the Beatles knew it. But they met him before they were famous so that was a plus.
This is absolutely beautiful. The awesome video quality and just the intimacy of the moments. Incredible!
Billy Preston is having a blast. Such a great addition to this track and others.
So, John already had that joke ready about thanking the audience. Good thing he told it at the perfect moment in public.
Beatles forever. So cool to see them in their natural habitat like this.
So excited to watch it, I love them! When to Liverpool for the second time to see their stuff 💕
The Beatles are absolutely one of me and my dads favorite bands . It’s good to see other footage from there times .
Hello 👋 Janelle. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
You expressed it so well. They are so special. ❤
Expressou mesmo.. é o que sinto também..51 anos e redescobrindo Beatles, eles são gente como a gente com talento..🥰🥰🥰
The songs would not be the same without Billy Preston. An incredible contribution to an incredible band
Raised in the 1960’s
This is FAB♥️♥️♥️♥️
The beatles forever ❤❤
Preston es talentoso y daba alegría al grupo sobre todo en esos días difíciles
WOW!!!!!!!
Billy Preston and his cool contribution on keyboards🎶
Underrated AF
That's some groooooovy love, baby!
Anyone who dislikes this video or any other Beatles videos, they don't know what their missing. They don't appreciate old stuff. By far my favorite band if all time. Can't wait to see the docu!!
The GREATEST 'band' (understatement) the world has ever known, coupled w/4 unassuming geniuses in awe, and honored to have Billy Preston join in > No words to describe these moments.
I LOVE TO WATCH THEM PRACTICE DON'T LET ME DOWN ...I WATCH IT OVER AND OVER , I LITERALLY CANT GET TIRED OF THIS SONG
Lmao at John with the “I had a dream” comment during Billy’s solo
Can’t stop watching this
wow john is an amazing singer
I wish they were still with us. I was blessed to have seen them live. I'll never forget it!
Hello 👋 Kim. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
The quality is unbelievable... whoever cleaned this film up bravo👌
