Thank God for this message. I was expecting one thing and received something more important I didn’t ask for. I needed this so bad. I’ve been wallowing in my pridefulness seeking truth without expressing and walking in genuine love. Lord I give up my anxiety for perfect truth and ask for your forgiveness in Christ name. Help me to love my family and those in fellowship in a godly way. Not a hypocritical false love. True genuine love that honors the God of all grace and truth. I’m a pitiful sinful mess and I need you always God. Thank you for saving a wretch like me! Bless you and your ministry brother!

I lived a Christian life rooted in fear for over 30+ years knowing that one little sin in my life would send me to Hell. Scared to death of dying because I could never see myself with an unspotted robe. Thanks to God my eye's was opened by Calvinistic Preachers like these men on YT I'm 100% disabled so I can very rarely get out of the house. I'm thinking this is why I caught this disease I never would of changed or even listened to this kind of preaching if I had remained Healthy. PS> I'm no longer afraid except of bringing shame or dishonor upon the Church and or the Name of my Blessed Lord Jesus Christ.

It sounds like you went from being under the law to being under a false god.
Calvinism teaches another gospel under a god who creates men for the pleasure of burning them.
That’s not the God of the bible my friend.

Are you saying that God doesn’t create men for the sole purpose of tormenting them?
Who gave man their corrupt nature to ensure their guilt? Who made man incapable of doing anything good spiritually? Who gave Adam’s guilt to every man, making them guilty and worthy of eternal torment at the moment of conception?
Is it not the false god of Calvinism? Are men not victims in such a construct?

Evan U The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. - Proverbs 16:4
We all deserve hell because of the sins we’ve committed against a holy God. God chooses to save His people completely by grace. If we all got what we deserved, it would be hell for all. God has decreed all things in order to reveal His perfection, grace, mercy, power and wrath. What if God desires to show His power and wrath against those prepared for destruction in order to make known the riches of His glory to those He prepared beforehand for mercy? Who are you as the pot to claim the potter is in error of what He has made? What if all of creation was theocentric and for His purposes? Who would you be to talk back to God?
To the OC, God bless you brother

I will say it's been around 6-7 years now since I've been saved. And soon after that point in the spirit's direction I feel and being lead, Jeff Durbin was one of the first pastors I stumbled across just searching around wanting to hear the word of God. But it wasn't how he made it sound or was i convinced by my own judgment. Without me knowing much at the time,it was like i knew what this man was saying was true, which i would say that's the spirt in a person that's bearing witness in us to know God's truth. And I kept listening and as time went on I was meditating on things of God and being fed and a growing of godly desires for him things we're being revealed to me in teaching and shown things in the Bible before I seen, knew or read it in the Bible literally. I could recognize in how I was being taught by the spirit and at the same time everything this man was saying was by the same spirt being revealed to me in my growth. Which is being confirmed by God's Word. This is how by the spirt we become discerning of the things of God and by the spirit of God's people speaking Godly and spiritual truth in Jesus Christ. I know i can say that most people whether non believers or so called Christians that don't know God think it's just a matter of how a pastor or person sounds and what they like in what they are saying or opinion and go based on that and are decieved. But I know that if the holy spirit isn't moving in a person in teaching and revealing itself to you spiritually speaking then you really don't know or have the spirit of God. Because if the spirit isn't its not from God. It's literally spiritual in how we know him in how he reveals himself to us and how he works in us. I can genuinely and sincerely say it's not on our own efforts, will or by our own thinking as far as trying to convince and deceiving ourselves we know him,or trying to apply God to ourselves and telling ourselves yea I'm good with him it's really not,and a person will be able to discern the power of God when receiving the spirit and our own powerless and useless efforts in ourselves without him to know him. GOD OVER EVERYTHING!

59:56 forward - Jeff conflates fairness with justice. We don't want pure justice, because that would not be merciful. But mercy can't rob justice, so we need grace to balance the two. Justice balanced with mercy is fairness.

I love they way you break down scripture. It is soooo helpful, I struggle getting through scripture. I listened to this sermon the other day and then by chance came across Psalm 9:5 where David does talk about the blotting out of names. I know context needs to be considered here but I'd be curious to hear the difference compared to the verse in Revelations 3 that you talk about in your sermon here. Thank you for constantly challenging us to always look at our heart and where it is in humility and repentance!

If you can't find one on your own, consider a Reformed church. Or check their web page. If their statement of beliefs says they believe in predestination (sovereign election), Bible based, Trinity etc. it might be worth checking out. Remember, you are the church, not a building. Then, ask the head teacher about the end times. If they tell you the rapture and trib is yet to come, think about discussing your beliefs with them. Frankly, I think this belief is rare, but accurate. God bless. (I am in a Bible based Baptist reformed church. )

Thank's Jeff, when & if people say that God should be merciful to everybody, you were right in saying they're inconsistent, because we sometimes we don't even love our own brother & sisters in Christ which Jesus said was a sure mark of being His disciples ( Jn13:35) then to love our "enemies ( Matt 5:44) which we sometimes find it hard, then you have the unbeliever & some Christians who say that God should be merciful to everybody when one of the favorite expressions of the unbeliever to some of their friends when they're upset with them, but for sure towards their enemies is what???? (GO TO HELL!!!) so we're not even merciful with each other & we think God should be?????? we're nothin but a bunch of "hypocrites" myself included

Can a person believe in Jesus Christ and not be saved? What if I am not one of the elect?
"Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit."
    1 Corinthians 12:3
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
    Matthew 7:21‭-‬23
How can these men say Lord to Jesus and not be saved if you can't say that Jesus is Lord without the Holy Spirit?

      1 Corinthians 10, starting in verse 23;
23 “Everything is lawful,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is lawful,” but not everything builds others up. 24 Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person. 25 Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience, 26 for the earth and its abundance are the Lord's. 27 If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience. 28 But if someone says to you, “This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience - 29 I do not mean yours but the other person's. For why is my freedom being judged by another's conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food that I give thanks for? 31 So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. 32 Do not give offense to Jews or Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I also try to please everyone in all things. I do not seek my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be saved.

Abigail: If you think a loving God would send someone to an eternal punishment for something they eat... With all due respect my friend, that isn't at all what a God is like. Go check out www.nderf.org and go to the "exceptional experiences". NDERF = Near Death Experience Research Foundation. I don't know now EXACTLY what I believe, but there is a general theme of those that die, go to the other side, and are brought back to life - - and that is love.
This is just my opinion. I am in no way telling you what to think, only giving you something to consider, and a resource(NDERF) that I have used since my mom died from cancer in April, 2017.

      Desire Of All Nations
The law was put in place for a reason. Noah ate anything that moved before the law was given....
Gen 9: 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
      The unclean animals represented Gentiles......
Hos 2: 18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
Acts 10: 11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 ¶ But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 ¶ And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Lev 20: 24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
The separation between Jew and Gentile was pictured with animals. The Jews were the prey type animal and the Gentiles were the predators.
Clean and unclean animals lie down together in the New Covenant....
Isa 11: 6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
(Rom 15 cites this passage as fulfilled in having the Gentiles take part of the new covenant)
All Israelites who had cast off Gods laws were hardened. Jesus spoke against these people and their judgement that was to come.....
Matt 23: 1 ¶ Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
They didn’t keep the law but they placed the burden of the law on people’s backs. These hypocrites (eating swines blood) would be judged....
Matt 23: 27 ¶ Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matt 23: 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation
Let me ask you a question. In the old covenant, Gentiles could be become Jews by taking hold of the covenant. Anyone could become a Jew and even the Pharisees sought to proselytize them.
So if Gentiles are to take hold of the old covenant laws to be part of Israel in the new covenant, then what is the mystery and what was the big uproar?......
Eph 3: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
      5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Est 8: 17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
Acts 15: 5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
      8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
So if we are to become Jews in the sense that we are to keep the old covenant laws as any Gentile could do in the old covenant, then why is it a mystery in the new covenant?
      Thanks.

A courtroom judge is obligated to make sure that the punishment is proportional to the crime. Sending most of humanity to hell for eternity for being what the Calvinist god predestined them to be is not proportional. We don't want justice, but we want fairness, which is a balance between justice and mercy. It's sad that most courtroom judges are more godly than the Calvinist god.

    HEBREWS 1 :5
    - the original greek word used there for begotten/born also means MAKE. so
Jesus, the SON was MADE. Word: gennaw Pronounce: ghen-nah'-o Strongs Number:
G1080 Orig: from a variation of 1085; to procreate (properly, of the father, but
by extension of the mother); figuratively, to regenerate:--bear, beget, be
born, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, gender, make, spring. G1085. Also
it says "he will become my son" NOTICE, FUTURE TENSE, WILL, SO BEFORE
THAT THE SON DID NOT EXIST. He was MADE and then he became the SON

It didn’t mean “make” in this text! Pleanty of verses are in the bible saying Jesus is God. As well as Jesus himself.

@@donatzerodayslife Find the original Greek word used in Hebrews 1:5 gennaw which means born and MAKE. So yes, the SON Was Made. See also Acts 2. GOD MADE Jesus as Lord

Can you please do a video of food laws for Gentiles? I’ve been so fearful and confused about going to hell if I eat pork because of the mosaic laws. I’m not even sure what laws to follow and which ones Jesus completed

Abigail Johnson, there are no food laws that will prevent you from going to hell. Jesus' blood and atonement for our sins and death saves us from hell. You need only repent and believe on the Lord Jesus' atonement for your sins and you shall be saved.

L P Ortiz but what about Hebrews 10:26?

That sin does not refer to the dietary laws Yahweh gave to the Israelites. Please read 1Corinthians 6:9 ; Galatians 5:21 and Acts 15: 10 & 11

      1 Corinthians 10, starting in verse 23;
