Cool, you also included the ubi cleanup to gain more software space.
Thank you. This is sum up to what you have done.
@@usbbdm FYI the Solderless Pinheaders (press fit) are quite handy, these fit perfectly without getting stuck in the MR18 JTAG port.
@@usbbdm OH and one crucial first step you may have forgotten: Create a full flash backup, always.
@@RicardoCooper This is for backup purpose. Not the required step to program OpenWRT. But it is important to have a good backup.
Thank you. Great instruction! Is it possible to return stock firmware using u-Link NT or u-Link NAND?
Yes you can use u-Link NT. There is not much room to play with u-Link NAND but if you managed to clip on the NAND yes you ca use u-Link NAND.
So you don’t have to worry about which version of u-boot is on this or anything? You can literally have this thing up and running in 10 minutes?! Great job. Can you do one for an MR33?
th-cam.com/video/iYR1AjiqOJs/w-d-xo.html I use the NAND programmer to program it.

Can you please name what is a branding of your USB JTAG programmer? I'm from Slovakia and probably we don't have exact USB programmer here, i need to know that because i don't want to be stuck which program i need to use or so. Or you can copy paste a link where to buy it or where you got it from. I have MR18 as well with stock kernel and everytime i connect it to the internet it reprograms itself for the company that belongs to them. I want to avoid it. Thanks a lot
It uses JTAG protocol. The video uses u-Link NT. You can also use USB JTAG NT.
@@usbbdm how much does it cost? I found one on alli for 600$ that's a lot.. i don't know if cheap can keep up with professional usb programmer... and i have another question, can i use COM port RS 232 instead of buying so expensive stuf?
