I played with this guy the next game and he was really excited you coached him. He learned it really well and absolutely carried the game with his lane and pushing bot. Overall he did great applying what you taught him into his next game and was able to really improve. It was fun watching him play while I was jungling.
Garen is grossly underrated as a champion, and is the perfect champion to help people focus on more in depth mechanics (trade patterns, wave control, map awareness, etc.). Love to see your garen coaching videos.
Thats a similar thinking process to 1 tricks. If you play a super simple champ, or a very limited champ pool and u feel comfortable on your champ of choice, u can autopilot the micro part and actually focus on the macro. Garen is a great training wheel for players that need to improve on macro gameplay for sure.

The Lillia in this game was atrocious. Having the audacity to toxic ping Alistar a million times and blame him for losing the game, when she trolled so many times with her R. The big fights would happen and she'd hit like 3 enemies with her Q, but then never use her R. That's like, Lillia's entire kit in teamfights. You put high priority targets to sleep. Typical ego-inflated player.
This video is perfect. I’m a Gold III ADC player but have wanted to learn other roles since I’m kind of an ADC only player at the moment. If I get my secondary role, I tend to dodge. This video has given me a bit more confidence in learning solo lanes.
im d2 top and i dont do some of these things, and the things I do execute, I don't even realize why I'm doing them. Its nice to watch videos like this and learn.
45:45 I think going bot and assist ping baron would be the better play there, because either they back and stop you and your team gets baron or you end the game, you can see at the end how close this was with the minions at the tower, also would have kept hullbreaker for this and even blue pot would be smart because you do more dmg to towers. Even if the enemy team gets baron and backs in time to stop you, they will be buisy dealing with minions in their base, so they cannot end or they loose, and now they have open base. So like you said earlier, absolutely no need to flip a fight. Granted, Lucian going to stones is shit either way, but I still think this would be a more promising way.
Duuude NEACE!!! I just started playing league this year. So like 5 months. Your videos have been the most helpful, out of the majority of videos I’ve watched to learn the mechanics/macro. Top lane is a fav lane of mine(I really like Ornn), but the way you teach and explain shit is great.

The main thing I see in this video is hesitation. Silver players don’t always know when’s best to take fights and even if they are correct in timing, they poorly execute combos or back off at a critical moment. Only takes half a second to waste an opportunity. You could see Garen improve on his mistakes in this video so I imagine he’s doing much better now those tips would have settled in as muscle memory. Great vid!
The way this one ended was so tragic. They just had to group around baron, buy time and not die until someone went to answer the super minions in bot lane. To be fair, I've seen pro teams mess this up, though it's not usually because two players are randomly farming jungle camps on the other side of the map 40 minutes into the game.
i think the dive/play youre reviewing at the 16 min mark is because he tried to ignite earlier like you said earlier in the session. he just needs it dialed in, too late, too early, juuuuuust right
For the first time I disagree with Neace about the last play and the choice to stress them out instead of catching the double wave stacked on top. His teammates were too far and that baron was lost already. If he took the wave and tried to push top, he might have lured them into following or backing wasting their time while his team grouped to defend. Mid and Bot waves were all the way on their base, so their baron wouldn't be so effective. They closed the game using the waves ignored on top.
Once they see Garen top, they're going to force a fight. You do NOT want to tempt them to force ANY fight because zed and lucian are far away. Dude once they take baron, the game is literally over. They don't need to go into the base right away. They can just back, group mid and push. Then it would be over.
27:14 Simple tip for Jinx players, your passive is really usefeull to fix your position after a kill/assist. Don't use it to poke a garen under tower like this jinx did.
As a brand new player (day 3) Im just learning how much i need to learn, LOL has an overwhelming amount of champs, items, ect to learn from scratch for beginners. I've been playing Heroes of the Storm for like 5 yrs daily, i liked smite also but didnt get to deep, but LOL is a different ballgame all together. Just hit acct lvl 20 practicing vs ai and 5 aram's under my belt so far, it would prolly be funny/good content if anyone wants to coach my 1st 5v5 normal game :) when i work up the courage one of these days.

I used to Main Mid but that got boring really quickly so I just focus on Top and Jungle now :) Ik jungle is a hard role to try and main when you are new but I just play norms and learn along the way. I figured if I learn jg now Ill learn more about the game in general since they are literally everywhere (plus my mid and top champs are junglers as well lol) I DO NOT play bot... like ever. Hate that lane.
So I used to play LOL like 10 years ago and have a buddy that just got me back into it. For about 2 days I was getting my ass handed to me. I watched about 3-4 videos and have significantly improved. By the end of a few of my games I ended up going 26-6, and another one where I went 16-9. For the 26-6 game I did really well my entire landing phase but for the 16-9 I gave away 3 kills to the sett in my lane and he rampaged the rest of my team. Still I’m much better then I was, and realized that if you farm xp even when you’re down, then for the roaming phase you can demolishing anyone else on the map besides maybe there top laner. Also keep in mind I’m level 31 and I’m playing with a level 262 on my team. I’m not playing the best people but they are on average better then me by a bit.
Hey guys, I'm a OTP Nocturne main for a long time now and I secondary pick sion (only play JG). never had the drive to really go for ranked but my mmr has been consistently around gold 4 - gold 2. Does anyone know the viability of noc in silver and gold (heard he's bad high elo and that makes sense), cant seem to steamroll wins like I do in draft.

I don't think he understood that his Q gives him movement speed. Garen is like a truck and his Q is like pressing on the gas to either run away or crash into them lol.
I don't know if there is anything more tilting to watch than players holding ignite. Like, I'd rather have wasted it and get a kill than try to wait till the last second and fail. It's like they think it has execute damage.
I feel like his original plan to to top at the end there would have been better…. If they get baron it doesn’t matter because now they have two super minion lanes in their base already and top pushing towards them. They ended off top wave being pushed in. Team would have spawned by the time they answered back with top lane or they wouldn’t have been able to push in at all

Is it because tenacity rune plus mercs would be too much and a waste ? then what about tenacity rune and plated ? I love Neace's videos, but I vehemently disagree with the attempt to flash+Q at around 21:10. There was no vision; he was trying to flash through a bush; etc. I wasn't surprised in the least that Mordekaiser was there waiting for him when he went after Nunu. Chasing kills is always a losing strategy. Get the successful trades; execute if possible; _if you have the vision_ then go after them but only up to a point; etc.
I agree that one was a bad call, but I think Neace's logic is that learning to make plays when they present themselves is sometimes more important than whether it's correct or not. That can come later. He's only got one or two games to see what the student can do and a lot of newer players are hesitant to limit test, so sometimes he does call for some pretty questionable all-ins in the name of science.

Damn Im embarrassed to say but I play on Lockscreen till this day. Because it is so mess when u dont. Like u have to focus on their team, on objects, pings, your abilities accuracy and on top of WHOLE game u have to move your screen! If anyone have any good tips how to help yourself in this situation xd
This Garen definitely had the tools to win this game, his decision making was just awful. He could never make up his mind if he wanted to go in for a fight or chicken out. To me it just seems like he needs to review a lot of his own gameplay and notice his mistakes and hammer out a lot more games on Garen. He needs the fundamentals and decision making skills before branching out to any other champs
He needs to use his W he uses it aggressively so he loses a lot of health when he doesn’t need to and could avoid those stuns with the tenacity that the W gives

I think if he would have pushed top there they wouldn't have had a wave to end with. And they would have probably skipped baron to stop garen and 2 super minion waves crashing into their base. Neace, honest question from a silver here. Why are attackspeed runes bad but should you still buy bezerkers instead of tabis or mercs?
Garen's E works off of Bonus attack speed. Runes don't work as bonus AS so they don't influence the ratio on the ability.

What really helped me start playing ranked more is if you are solo queuing or even duo queuing is there a reason not to play ranked

In terms of damage, stridebreaker is much much weaker that triforce. Demolish triforce allows you capitalise on plates after a kill.

Love how you always say ignore the team, until 2 of them get caught at baron and then he should jump in even though Lucian was at golems and Zed at chickens. I think if he would have pushed top there they wouldn't have had a wave to end with. And they would have probably skipped baron to stop garen and 2 super minion waves crashing into their base.
