Theodore Robert Bundy (né Cowell; November 24, 1946 - January 24, 1989) , aka Ted Bundy, was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 murders committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. His true victim total is unknown and likely significantly higher.
This video concentrates on his Florida crime spree , leading up to the murder of Kimberly Leach and his subsequent arrest and capture.
My video about the kidnapping and murder of Kimberly can be found here - • True Crime & Famous Gr...
    Jan. 15, 1978
At 3 a.m., Bundy entered the Chi Omega sorority house near Florida State University and killed Margaret Bowman and Lisa Levy. They were both beaten severely and strangled to death.
Karen Ann Chandler and Kathy Kleiner suffered severe injuries after Bundy bludgeoned them while they slept, but survived.
Shortly after the Chi Omega attacks, Bundy broke into the apartment of Cheryl Thomas, a student at FSU, and attacked her. Her housemates who lived on the other side of the wall, Debbie Ciccarelli and Nancy Young, heard the noise and called Thomas’ apartment, but she didn’t answer. Ciccarelli and Young then called police. Bundy escaped before authorities arrived. Thomas survived the attack.

Every time I see stories like these it makes me grateful that I survived this long in a world scattered with evil. Can you just imagine the fear these girls had once they realized what was happening, if they had any awareness at all. So senseless and so sad. Yet, it's good to hear these stories told, if for nothing else but awareness. It can be a reminder to students and anyone really, to add an extra lock to the windows and doors, look behind you when you're walking alone day or night. It's also a reminder that we are all vulnerable in the right circumstances. Scott, your job stinks sometimes (a lot of times really) to have to tell these kinds of stories, but I totally believe that bringing awareness to students who might think they are invincible, could even save a life or lives. And that's the happy ending we are all looking for. Thank you for what you do and may these victims rest in eternal peace in heaven.

Because of his narcissism, he THOUGHT he was much smarter than he actually was. He was never a particularly good student, just average. He got caught relatively fast for a serial killer as well. Lol. There are some serial killers who have never even been caught. I’m a UF grad class of 1996 and two stories I’ve always heard was Ted Bundy murders at FSU and the murders that happened a few years before I arrived in Gainesville by Daniel Rolling. Daniel also killed one student at Santa Fe College as well, but the most famous killing he committed was on our UF campus. I was a student/athlete and I wasn’t really into watching news at the time so I had absolutely no idea about Ted Bundy and Daniel Rolling. I know because of these two monsters, campus police no longer sat around in dining halls watching college girls walk around anymore because they started doing their jobs. Because if they were doing their normal patrol duties around Fraternity/Sorority Row they would have caught Bundy before he killed those young beautiful women. And because of Bundy and Rolling, I was put in a drunk tank for 24 hours during “Rush Week” because campus police was doing their jobs and noticed two drunk Omega Psi Phi and three drunk Alpha Kappa Alpha members walking together at our rush celebration lol 😂 in 1994. One of the Alpha women puked on my shoes in the back of the meat wagon heading towards the drunk tank.
But all jokes aside, if you have college aged kids like myself before your children enroll, make sure you do your homework and not just the academics. Check the crime statistics in and around campus, and check out FBI UNIFORM CRIME STATISTICS and select the area where your kids attending college. Because using government databases will give you a better understanding of crime rates than anything else. Since your kids will be underclassmen, make sure campus housing is safe as well. Before my daughter enrolled at FSU for meteorology, my wife and I checked out everything regarding Tallahassee and my daughter currently lives nearby where Scott was filming at. But I’m not familiar with my rivals campus lol 😂
Good job Scott and I hope people read my comment and take my advice seriously regarding their children safety in college

The fact that he committed all of these acts without being heard is astounding…but it’s beyond comprehension that he committed so much violence with such incredible quickness. He murdered two woman and attacked two others in under 15 minutes?! Bludgeoning them, strangling them, and then spending at least some time with the two murder victims after he killed them! It’s impossible to imagine that level of frenzy, let alone one that was sustained for so long. And even that wasn’t enough for him!!! Everyone put locks on your bedroom door and hide your keys in a place outside your bedroom. Lock your room when you leave, shower and sleep.

Thank goodness Bundy didn’t make it out of Florida. Bundy was a monster. I’ve read he thought he could endear himself to FBI profilers to try and avoid his punishment. Also, I’ve read that the guard that flipped the switch may have been female. I’d like to think that is true personally

If you are ever in Washington state, please do a video on "The Green River Killer", Gary Ridgeway. He was another serial killer who terrorized the Northwest. They figure he killed over 80 women. Another madman, for sure!

We lived under his shadow when I was a kid. He kidnapped his last Utahn from the same place I frequented at that time. I was a greasy, poor, preteen and in no danger, but later I had a chat with my graduate adviser who knew him and he literally cried when talking about trusting him around his daughters at church. The Netflix documentary is very good and really brought those memories back. I remember on the day of his stay, some dudes I knew got really drunk and scrawled “Bundy Lives” in big letters at the Pizza joint I worked at.

Take into account how crazy this time was. In the summer of 1977 you had David Berkowitz, later that year you had Kenneth Bianchi, you also had Richard Chase and then Ted Bundt. This is all within 6-7 months across the country and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few

Also Scott ! You should DEFINITELY visit the Devils Tree in Port Saint Lucie, FL. It’s where serial killer Gerard John Schaefer Jr. pinned or hung two of his victims from the tree. The tree stands till this day.
The city attempted multiple times to get rid of the tree but it can’t be destroyed.
I used to live 5 minutes away from the park it’s located in.
