I like the vehicle Voltron concept but I never understood the point of having cars, boats and aircraft when they could all fly and all go underwater anyway.
I remember specifically that my Aunt went to Toys r Us when I was like 8, tried to get the Big Voltron, instead got the Mini Voltron and this Voltron. Which at the time I had NO CLUE IT WAS VOLTRON. I always thought it was a knock off BWAHAHA.

I be happy if someone paid you to do a series with this style. Better than Netflix version. I always dreamed about writing a book of the legend of two types of Lion Voltrons including a darker version being discovered and brought back into existence.
this series is totally unrelated to Golion. The Americans put them together giving them the name of voltron, but that was a commercial forcing. And yes, I also prefer this one.
If you watch the original verison in Jap with subs, things make far more sense in terms of story, most of the original story is kept intact but a few things don't quite add up in the dub of the series, mainly around the character of Hazar as he is the most fleshed out character in the Vehicle series as he has a genuine character arc and is far from what the villians of the lion series are, where they are evil for the sake of evil, he is a high ranking soldier who cares about his people and despite most of his officers under his command defying his orders, he looking at the bigger picture and trying to do his best for his people but he is a minorty in a dark sitution bought on by his own people's greed and their leaders own stupidy, so I advise to at least give it a watch once in full, the over arcing story is in my view, better than the Go Lion story

Same with soundtrack albums. 1 song from the movie or show and the rest were from who knows where . Now things match better 9even in canon) due to manufacture on demand type things. Soundtracks at least will say 'inspired by' so you feel a touch less duped. With that said, for anime and manga, it (force five, Voltron, BOTP, Robotech, etc.) did at least create fans where there were none before while at the same time peeving off the new fans because of how it was done. an interesting paradox.
@@notthesamecc1927 the original Macross is so much better than 'Robotech'. So much censorship from the Harmony Gold studio, it's unbelievable. Mospeada is a great anime too, despite the poor attempt to stick it in the 'robotech' universe, by changing and spoiling most of the original dialogues.
Man I'm surprised no one has thought of doing a live action movie on Voltron yet and if they do I hope they don't it like Michael Bay did with the Transformers.
You know...as a kid I ALMOST had the full combining set for Christmas. My siblings ratted on me to my parents saying I peeked. They took it back to the store. I still got some toys that I wanted but that was the ONE I really wanted. 😅😢
I would seriously love to see a live action Vehicle-force Voltron, if it was using these models, I'd love to see what the super-vehicle combinations would look like. I liked the storyline of Leo-Force but I preferred this version of the robot, with the 15 vehicles, the three mega vehicles and this combination.

When I was a child I asked my mom for a Voltron action figure for Christmas. And remember being so confused and disappointed when opening up this figure. Lol
Great job. I always liked the idea of a combiner mech made from a variety of different vehicles. I just wish all of the DaiRugger XV vehicles actually looked like a vehicle. Some of them do, like the helicopter arms, SUV feet and space ship head & chest piece. The rest of the vehicles just look like chunky robot components.
Looks great. For me, only change I would make is at 23 seconds the legs are far apart but at 24 seconds the legs are suddenly closer. I would have shown the legs coming closer as the pelvis piece was approaching. Wonderful job overall though!
Fun fact the Armored Fleet DaiRugger XV anime is actually older than the Go-Lion anime. Go-Lion was only converted to Voltron series first, as it was deemed more kid friendly.
Cool animation, very nice work! It would be even better if you had used sound effects that better suit the vehicles and action, rather than effects from The Transformers live action movies.

Vehicle Voltron was ALWAYS my favorite version of Voltron. He's actually the most powerful version as well. (Yes, the Lions are cool too)

I've ALWAYS preferred Vehicle Voltron over Lion Voltron as a kid for the simple fact you had more toys to play with.
They had 15 pieces, unlike Voltron of 5. Quite complicated to volt in, while the Voltron didn't. Both are awesome though.
