67 years and Annie looks and sounds absolutely awesome. Her voice hasn't lost a bit at her age, it's incredible. A voice still as deep as the ocean and as clear as a bell. She still is one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. She rarely performs for years and when she do it's for charity, she's such a great person. I wish I could see her in concert.

I remember the first time I heard her voice in the late 70s when Annie and band mate Dave Stewart went under the name" The Tourists" she had a uniqueness to her voice then, which marks out good singers from the also-rans, of which there are plenty around today.
As the Eurythmics, Annie and Dave Stewart we're probably one of the most successful electro pop duos of the 80s alongside the likes of Erasure.
It is of course worth noting that being of Celtic origin is never really a disadvantage as the Celtic nations have produced some of the world's best singers. Notable examples Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Katherine Jenkins, Barbara Dickson, Mary Black etc etc. To have a voice as clear and Powerful as Annie's is at age 67 doesn't just happen by accident. I strongly suspect she has lived a pretty healthy and clean life. In the industry in which she operates there are countless casualties that have fallen to the wayside through the abuse of alcohol drugs, cigarettes, and other accessories of fame and fortune. Annie, you are a true Beacon of light and a tireless campaigner for Social Justice. Thanks for your positive Energy in our troubled world. ❤️🌍❤️🙏

Well, of course it’s never so, not with you there ready to boast about and pontificate on your superior Celtic DNA, which is a complete wayward and irrelevant comment here. Is someone now to talk up the Anglo Saxon attributes of English-born Dave Stewart? As a riposte? I suspect as Annie is not Irish, you have got to claim her Celtic spirit, her Scottish background notwithstanding. Back in the 80s, the duo were considered a British act. Mind you, the French would have always described British bands as “Anglo Saxon”.

This woman had long and phenomenally successful music career in the UK, Europe, US and further afield - and gave it up at its height to raise her kids. She was never motivated by money and pretty much indifferent to fame. Never into “celebrity” life in the slightest. She has for decades done loads of low-key stuff for charity.

She studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London for 3 years before her pop career - she’s an accomplished keyboard and flute player. She’s also an unselfish activist and international campaigner, particularly in HIV and women’s rights and health. A remarkable woman and one of Scotland’s favourite daughters.
She's a true performer, an all around talent. I'm sure she writes music, writes songs and arranges all her own music.

Been reading about what's been going on in Ukraine virtually every day since the Russian invasion began, and every day my heart breaks a little more.
Learning things about real life is cool, I myself decided to get learnt in the field of Anglo literature. Now, every worthwile researcher knows that you only read the last chapter, cause that's where all the important stuff is. For example, theres this old as play I'm reading rn where, basically a prince kills a bunch of his friends and his stepdad, and then dies. Best me as to why he'd do such a thing, probably wanted to be more like Hitler or something. Goes to show that those Europe folks can be mighty weird at times. That, I think, was the intended takeaway :|
