She is a natural treasure in Japan. Beautiful voice even when singing a different language. And yes, it tugs at my heart to hear her sing "Tennessee Walz"!
Of all things, I am a Caucasian man living in Hawaii in a Buddhist temple. Guess what I have met Zen monks who dig Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Most of all in the 80s Japan put out all the then known works of Hank Williams Sr as recorded while America did little in that way for Hank till the late 90s. Thanks
Nashville has sold out to pop culture. The uniqueness found in the past of country music is no longer there. Whether it's the style, sound, arrangement, or individuality, it's gone. Personalities in country music today aren't like they used to be. Those who aren't in step with the suits on the top floor get pushed to the bottom by record labels.
Wow, they all sound amazing. I was smiling hearing how Miss Fujiyama was singing the Tennesse Waltz.

100% fact. The corporate structure is often creating country music "personalities" and forgetting the root of what it's all about, THE MUSIC!
There is an absolutely terrible Japanese called "The Legend of dinosaurs and monster bird" It does feature a country music concert
