Salvoing against Palpatine is nasty... you must spend a defense token to salvo. Great game but all the Camera movement was a bit much for me.
Dream round... shoot first, get OP off, exhaust all of their tokens. They Salvo back (palpatine). Then, they have the SSD double arc'ed, and shoot 2 more times. In one round, 3 defense tokens burned.

Idk I feel like tactical expert and gunnery teams are just a must have on the ssd
The point of this build though is to Nav round 1, Con Fire the rest of the game, using Engineering Captain to repair as needed. JJ can give the turns, and you have a nav token for any speed adjustments needed later.
There is 1 ship. The opponent has to come hit you. You get the OP shot off first, they start stripping their own tokens fast. Often, by round 3, you don't need Con Fire anymore because targets are either on the sides (multiple arcs), or are already stripped of defense tokens, so you don't need the extra firepower at that point anyway. So, repair away to keep the SSD alive and take the 9-2 win.

I'd have given him Squadron commands instead (with Cham). His fighters are Rogue - wouldn't make much of a difference if he activated them with the SSD or not.
But he had engineering officer so could instantly turn them into engineering if he wanted to. With engineering I removed his options.
@@Crabbok Ohhhh right. I had to look it up. I confused Engie Captain with Defence Liaison - one doesn't have a cost associated, the other does. My bad.

I have never played this but any game with more cards than miniatures is bad in my eyes.
