I have just purchase the atomos shogun 7 and I can’t get a signal from my a7s (micro hdmi to full hdmi ) I have used 2 different cables and can’t get a signal - when I use the fs7 (full hdmi to full hdmi ) I get an input signal.is there anything I need to do internally in the camera to get a signal output ?
Can you please guide me about the HFR settings. Once i shot at 25p 100mb later when i saw the footage it was all slow mo how can i shoot at real time? I Pleasee help!
Was your metabones adapter in green mode or advanced mode? Advanced mode allows you to access more Sony features - possibly steadishot and focus assist with your canon lenses. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah and Sony put out a memo stating the customer's warranty would voided installing hacks to modify firmware. I Just spend $2000 on my a6300 package and I won't take that risk. These cameras are photo cameras FIRST, and they happen to have video capabilities. If people need unlimited record time they need to buy a dedicated video camera.

Picture profiles don't really impact noise. It more has to do with ISO and proper exposure values for the shadows.
Nice review! For stills worth it upgrade from A7s to A7S ii ?
If you needs still more so than video I’d recommend the A7r line.

From what I understand, the viewfinder takes more power than the monitor.

+Dawei Spearman I wasn't aware of any different modes for the Metabones as it didn't come with any sort of manual or anything.
also if you use clear image zoom for using apsc lenses in 4K
+GeneralGarvel Yeah, I am aware of that feature, but I'm not sure about the specifics on whether that is true pixel for pixel UHD.
Well testing is the only way but most people I've heard from say its pretty great :)

There are a few fixes for the a6300 that I'm sure would transfer over really well they got the a6300 to record for 3 hours
