Awesome video, and appreciate you actually showing an example of how you journal. Makes we want to start journaling at least to track my daily tasks and a place to throw my random ideas on 👏🏼
I would highly suggest reading 'the bullet journal method'. it absolutely changed my life and it takes many things you show in this video, but it's very refined and for many people it just works if they embrace the change and stick to the method religiously for a few months. I don't think of myself as an edc guy, but I don't even leave the room without my pocket notebook. I have ADHD so basically every time I walk through a door, my short term working memory gets wiped. There's just no way for me to remember something that came to my mind in the kitchen and then write it down in the living room. And I write down everything from tasks to memories to ideas or just thoughts and questions. Later they get transferred to my actual bullet journal, because it's a5 and too big to fit a pocket. But I'm thinking about changing my bullet journal to a6 but in landscape format. This way I could keep my system exactly how it is, because one spread of a6 = a single page a5, but have it in a pocket format. I filled many, many notebooks, but for me the leuchtturm hardcover books work best. Extremely durable, even if you use one notebook for a year or more, two bookmarks, a pocket for loose papers, they make an optional pen loop you can stick to any notebook you want and the most important feature for me: the pages are already numbered! Numbering 250 pages yourself is no fun and without page numbers I can't have a proper index and without an index it's impossible to find anything later. I also number my books, so I can always refer to book-nr.+page-number and I have my used notebooks on an open shelf in my office, and it's not just for show, but it's an actually useful archive of thoughts, ideas and projects.
The breakthrough for me is realizing theres different journals for different reasons and finding what fits you was what I found for me. Check out Journals vs. Common place journals vs Bullet journals. Good luck!
Love this X. I journal every day. I knew that you sold a journal, but for some reason, I did not think of you as an actual journaling person. Very cool to see how other people go about their daily. Thanks for sharing that!
At the time of posting this comment, the video has been published for 5 hours. I LITERALLY just bought a new, easy-to-carry notebook today. I've come to the realization that life is too busy to remember everything and decided to start jotting things down. I was trying to think of a good format to start with, so this video was just in time. I'm sure I'll customize to my particular needs bit at least I have a good start point. Thanks X. Semper Fi
Great video and examples! Even if just used for "exercise/workouts", or practice of music or other skills, a journal could be really useful! I'm impressed with your organizational skills and neat penmanship! I'm definitely motivated by this video! 👍
Thanks Marine X for the video. I'm wanting to move away from journaling on my phone and move to pen and paper. And always like to see how other people set up their journals.
The g2 works good for me. Want to upgrade to some sort of bolt action. Just started Journaling. I started keeping one for my knife sharpening. Like what it took to get the knife sharp. Thanks for the videos.
I have a few different ones too. A traveler's notebook, moleskin, a rocket book and a few other. I did get a laugh when I saw CAC appointment , PDREP, PIEE, and DAI since they are on my todo list too😆
I go through a lot of notebooks, but I am a math teacher… so my notes are going to be a lot different, but so are everyone’s… however one recommendation I would make for everyone is making a table of contents for your notes… it is a pain in the ass numbering all your pages and “wasting” a couple pages… but having the ability to locate info in a book is crucial. Spending time to be organized is time well spent.
I tried last year. Went all in on a planner and notebook to really focus on goals and schedules. Lasted about 3 months and just gave up. Wanted it to work sp badly and it almost felt like a chore most days.

That’s awesome
Great video! I like the way you set up your journals, easy to use and simple. Like the most simplistic, no bullshit approach to bullet journaling lol.

Yes, great video
I carry a Rhodia dotpad and a pen in my shirt pocket. The pages are perforated so you can easily tear them out.
I don't get journaling. My life is boring, get up go to work, go home cook dinner, then go to bed. On some days pay the bills.
Then reflect and focus on your thoughts, mood, desires…
you have thoughts don’t you?
Plus a lot of people spend more time journaling than living life.
I don’t even use the hundred notebooks I have lol I should..great video..Thank you!
Take a look at surveyor field books they are great
Definitely will check out

Totally makes sense
Was it a Franklin-Covey planner system or bullet journal system?
