My brother currently has pancreatic cancer, he’s on third round of chemo and talking to specialists all over the country. My sister just finished chemo. I’m in remission with Lymphoma. Three siblings should not get cancer within 5 years of each other.
I'm so sorry for you guys. I hope you can fight through it and never lose hope. My mom passed away on the 3rd Nov this year from bowel cancer but she still had hope and fought to the end. I'm praying for you all may God give your health back and keep you safe!❤😢🫶🙏
I had lymphoma. I believe a bee sting straight to my swollen lymph node (that was in the side of my neck, right under the jaw) actually cured it. Please look more into this, and I wish all three of you the best recovery 🙏🤍 You've nothing to lose, only everything to gain.
Everyone in my mom's family has had cancer at least twice, not including skin cancer. They were "blowover" people, meaning that radioactive material from nuclear weapons testing blew into their valley before it was understood what that could do. So who knows; it might be environmental for you all, as well.
Thank you so much for this. Pancreatic cancer stole my Dad, by the the time he found out he only had a month left to live. He went from a seemingly perfectly fit and healthy senior to a living skeleton in severe pain before my eyes. Please, please do what ever you can to make any testing for this condition become routine for everyone. It is beyond cruel. Thank you x
2 years ago this month my larger than life cousin was diagnosed with this cancer, he didn't last 5 months. It is brutal. RIP big fella. Thank you Dr Karan, for your efforts. The NHS and people of UK are very blessed to have you working on our behalf and educating those prepared to listen.
One of my brothers had pancreatic cancer! He's still thriving years later, but much easier to exhaust and a bit less durable medically. We're all super happy he is still with us.
My grandpa died from pancreatic cancer. I started researching about it when he was diagnosed. The signs and symptoms are so basic that you just really have no chance of early detection because it could be a million other health issues. Or just something as mundane as itchy feet. I'm sure this device will help many get diagnosed sooner. But it's still the "boogeyman" of cancers, to me. I'll support anything that gives people at least a fighting chance though!
My cat died of pancreatic cancer. I can’t have kids and she’s is the closest I’ve ever had to actually having a child. And just watching her have pancreatic cancer was hard enough. It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Milly was super metal and when she was in pain, she’d just get mad and handle it. Like when she had a tooth that went bad, she literally pulled it out herself. Scared me half to death when she did. She broke a bone and you couldn’t keep her down. She always picked herself up and moved on. But the cancer hurt her. And you could see it so clearly. It was the worst things I’d ever seen and probably the most pain she’d ever been in. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone to see, let alone have. No one should have to go through that.
Both my mother and aunt died this year from this cancer. There's nearly nobody I met who told me they know somebody who survived it. It is horrific, so my deepest gratitude and respect for your initiative, I will donate and share it.
My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021 and tragically, he survived only six months after the diagnosis. It truly is one of the most devastating cancers. I deeply hope that advancements like breath tests for early diagnosis receive sufficient research funding, so others can be diagnosed sooner and have a fighting chance.
My ex's mother died from pancreatic cancer a few months back. She was one of the few who believed in me and my journey to be a nurse so I will happily honour her by donating.
My uncle had pancreatic cancer, or at least that is what my family told me, i was an international student back then and they never told me about him, thinking that it might affect me mentally and i might get "bad grades", and they only told me about him 7 months after his death.
Horrible disease. I went to high school with someone who died from pancreatic cancer. Well--he first got Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which we thought went away, then he got this. We were the biggest and tallest in our class, but he was skin and bones at the end... An amazing musician; his tune cut far too early.
One of my coworkers was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he was gone in less than three months from that day. His only symptom until that point was unexplained weight loss. It's so scary how fast it got him.
My friend is dying of this. He is stage four and he was diagnosed in 2020 I believe. He has two boys and I worry about them all daily. This disease is so brutal
Lost a relative to pancreatic cancer a month ago. He always went to all the checkups, felt fine up until the end of summer. Got diagnosed in mid September with metastases in the lungs and liver and was gone at the end of October.
My grandma was taken by it, I'm glad that there is more research now. No more "you can beat it now but in five year it's gonna come back stronger and am faster" please
15 seconds in. I wouldn't even wish that cancer on the worst enemy of mankind, however, I tend not to say so in public in case I frighten someone who has been diagnosed 😢 My grandmother died from that one, after suffering from the dangerously radioactive trash of nuclear weapons testing blowing over into her valley.
Okay but tbh we can just donate and you won’t have to (if you don’t want to) and it would make as much of a difference because you have some loyal followers
Yes! And many chronic pain disorders, Lupus and fibromyalgia included. Also medically, Alzheimers, epilepsy, Crohn's, and eating disorders. Non-medically, domestic violence is the most known.
Was going to try the app but it's not clear if I can cancel before the first payment is taken. If I'm going to pay for them to donate to you then I may as well donate myself.
It is rare but we rarely catch it when it's treatable. "Pancreatic cancer is considered rare, affecting 13 out of 100,000 people. The average lifetime risk of developing pancreatic cancer is about: Men: 1 in 56 Women: 1 in 60 However, pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death. This is because it's often diagnosed late, when there are fewer treatment options available. There's also no established early detection method. "
