You should do a video document on that oil tube how it hooks up at both ends. somehow the flywheel slings oil up into that and it gravity feeds back down to the front bearing and it'd be interesting to see how they get the oil from outside the block too inside the block at the front end.
I know very little about Model Ts, but based on my research, this is what's called the "outside oil line." I'm assuming it's aftermarket, but it looks like it's a fairly common mod. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it.
that motor look like it had some kind of Governor hooked up to the fan going down to the carburetor area I found that strange and also was really cool about that motor is it has the front bearing oiler coming off the stator.
I believe it was setup as a relocation of the carburetor controls to down where someone might be standing next to the Model T as they would be running the flat belt implement. The carb control was disconnected from the steering column.
@@nathan.kostelecky when you take that oil tube off see if it's plugged up with the hair from the bands. That is an added on part not factory. for oil in the front bearing when climbing a hill.
That brings back memories of me working on mine .
Your new friend seems cool! I bet that was a fun little drive!
Restoring one of these looks like fun!
Good call on the gas tank shaking portion time allotment
