I would just like to add a point that could have added in the video how riverbank erosion has been causing a lot of trouble and the island has been reduced to one third of its size in the last 100 years. Anyway, Kudos to you! 5:43 I time travelled back to my days waking casually and spending a lot of time by the river and on the sunrise bridge.
Thank you so much for the kind words. To be frank, I did consider talking about the erosion part in the video, but then didn’t include and focused more on teg cultural and social aspects of the island. It’s indeed a huge problem and with climate change, it can get only worse from here on…

Last year I was there in Jorhat and Golaghat for 2 months and it was awesome staying there. though I couldn't travel to Majuli yet I was able to explore Kajiranga several times. And I was not expecting these much cultural similarities between the Bengalies and the Asamese. Lots of love to the brothers and sisters from Assam and North East.
Mere Mama ka Ghar bhi majuli mein hi hain , he is one of the wealthy person in majuli aur aap unke ghar ke bhot hi najdeek se hi gujre , I wish if u could visit there but ya loved it how you present the cultural things and natural things as well ... My mama is leading the Bengena Ati satra , which is known as gold mine in majuli until Britishers came and destroyed it ❤️ , loved your exploration ❤️ lost of love from Assam. Nagaon Edit- and one more thing every satra has its different guidelines, some satra has some similarities and some of them are built different, some of the satradhikar ( who basically leads the satra ) Never marry or have family . They gotta choose the brahmachari path ...
If you are now in Assam then please visit tezpur and gupteshwar mandir (the architect made by bishwakarma of lord shiva) and the only one mandir of bishwakarma of dhekiajuli 45 mins from tezpur
