to each their own. there is no perfect place and not every place suits everyone. Canada was great for people who came 20 years back as India and other countries were too far behind. But the rate at which India grew vs Canada grew has reduced the gap in last 20 years.

Very good discussion but foreign credentials must not be recognized on as it is basis. They must go through same tests as our Canadian kids do. Otherwise it is not fair for our Canadian graduates when they apply for any job.

Nobody forces anybody to go anywhere. People make decisions on their personal benefits. Nothing is free in this world, you have to put in the effort to get the rewards one is dreaming about. When gore from Europe came to Canada, they worked on fields and made all the towers that you see today, and did not complain. Now when the Asian decent people are coming, they are complaining that the system is not working in their favour, you have to put time in everything. Canada is providing fresh air and water too along with other benefits, but a good chance the next generation will not follow the Indian culture because if multiculturalism in Canada, however in order to gain something you have to lose something, one must be prepared for it.

Canada has strong rules and regulations that make this country safe and wonderful. Immigration is not easy and never has been. We should not water down regulations to make life easy for new comers from countries with less rigorous standards. There has always been a pathway for foreign trained doctors to have their credentials recognized -- it just takes time and they have high standards (as they should, as this is CANADA, not INDIA).
