Have you tried any golf games? I got my Ultra yesterday and there is a tracking issue with golf 5 eclub where the club is jumping about and you cant reliably take shots, not sure if its a common issue or just mine.
I just received mine two days ago and I'm testing and comparing it with my old Pico4 and Quest3. The more I use it, the more I like it. Pass-through is better than with the Quest3, but just slightly. I had to quickly switch between the Quest3 and Ultra to see it. It's of course a lot better than with the old Pico4. Battery life is not so good. Strangely I don't get an indication when it is charging from a power adapter, but I see it when I use my battery pack. I like the controllers. The smaller size, but also the buttons. For example: if you use Virtual Desktop and want to go from your PC back to VD, you'll find the button on the left controller much easier than before: it is sticking out a bit.
@SjaakSchulteis if someone has the meta quest 3 already . do you suggest to add as upgrade or swap ? my primary focus is using for secondary screens with laptop or desktop .
I'm concerned that Pico is downsizing its VR division, so we can't expect much from software updates. I've already ordered the Pico 4 Ultra, so it can't be helped, but I'm wondering if it might have been better to buy a used Meta Quest 3 instead.
A Pico 4 Ultra with Meta Quest operating system and games would be the perfect standalone VR headset. That's if they managed to improve the quality control on their lenses. My Pico 4 has a bit of a wavy lenses. My first one I had to send back because it was so noticeable. My second one wasn't as bad but it was still there. I decided to keep it though because it is bearable. Apparently most of the Pico 4 headsets are like this to varying degrees.
Awesome review! Which one like more between the quest 3 or pico 4 ultra? And which has better audio for you? Do you think the pico 4 ultra could reach 120hz by a future update on the software? Thanks.
Thank you. I'd take this over the Quest 3 especially for the price. They won't be able to make it 120hz via software but maybe that will come with the next release
i think pico is way ahead of meta. it was shown with the p4. but it’s kinda like an android phone vs an iphone. the android might be wayyyy better specs wise, although the iphone is way more mainstream. meta basically being an iphone, and pico being the android phone. hope you understand what i am trying to say haha.
It's not better spec wise though. The controllers are cheap the lenses and housing are lined with cheap plastic. The quest line has just much better build quality. Whatever problem a quest has can be fixed via third party Accessoires there isn't much support for pico. The same goes for games, the pico massively lacks mixed reality experiences and triple A titled. It's not bad but definitely not perfect.
Is it set like the quest guardian where I can't walk around with it and use it due to the guardian system? Or is it like the vision pro where you can go anywhere with it unhindered by a guardian system?
I own the Valve Index, Pico 4 and Quest 2 and Quest 3. The Pico 4 for me is the absolute best form factor, it's light and PERFECT. Is the Pico 4 ultra a significant improvement to lense quality and performance? Worth it to upgrade from the Quest 3? I only use PCVR.
I've read some of the biggest VR TH-camrs say that the lens quality and display are 'exactly' the same. But Pico said that the screen gets 20-25% brighter and they made absolutely no mention of them. And it was pretty clear that they did not do a direct head-to-head comparison with the Pico 4, but were really just doing it from 'how they remember the Pico 4'. Really sucks, because that's the most important thing for current Pico 4 users. They want an actual objective comparison between the regular and ultra. Especially contrast and black levels would be important since those are one of the few things you really cannot tell from the specs. That said, if you already own a Pico 4... it's probably not worth an upgrade since it's also pricier. This would've been a good alternative 6 months after the regular Pico 4's release, not 2 years later. I'll just be waiting for a next device that's capable of wireless PCVR. The Pico 4 Ultra and Quest 3 simply do not offer enough for an upgrade to justify replacing my Pico 4. Well, maybe Quest 3 if I can get it on a good deal for like €250 but that's it (but I know that's not gonna happen. And no don't mention the awful Quest 3S, that's garbage).
Did he answer the question in his title? I don't think he did. Such a shame. Wanted to hear your OPINION rather than leaving it to us. THere are so many videos detailing the specs but far less on opinions.
I dont understand People becuse Maby meta have new lensses maby They have a bigger libary but pico 4 lensses are still fkn Good its still realy fkn good Thers nothing rong with Them maby they are 1 year older Then quest 3 but they are still good
It's definitely worth it, what do you think?
Its not. I got they yesterday and very very disappointed. Same wavy image as on p4 and passthrough on them is a joke looks nearly identical to p4.

Can you suggest a few good games I could play
@abhayrao4256 I usually play all in one sport and basketball but if you have a look on their website, there are plenty of games listed to try
@@abhayrao4256 Not really. I use it mainly for PCVR and watching movies.
