- Today we end up with some very cheap unwanted M sport BMW’s one very sick
X3 and a running but not happy 645ci ! I’m not sure it counts as treasure!!…
anyway join Me Fudge and Simon as we gather up said machines and then help he make a decision as to what the hell we do with these new wagon??????
Remember, there are four choices with the broken beemers: 1) fix the missile. 2) fix the sensible one. 3) fix neither. And 4) fix both. I say fix both (but start with the sensible one….). Great vid fellas have fun in Norway Al!
Of course you want to repair both 👏
Yes ! To both projects 👍🏻, I am sure you will make a tidy profit on both vehicles 👍🏻
Love to see both done, very interesting and a profit
Go on, repair both it will be an education for us all, love watching what you both get up to.
@@johncolley3317 Too late got two a Z3 and a Z4 easy to work on except for the electronics, good code reader is my friend.
I would love to see Al and Fudgey branch out and open 6D BMW's and yes to you two repairing both of them, like you said cheap cars are few and far between these days.
These BMW’s tend to pull the threads in the block when the heads warp. Can be fixed with timesert inserts but quite a lot of work .
That 645i deserves to be saved. It's an age where it's just becoming a classic, plus it's clearly been cherished in the past. Would be a shame if it was broken for spares.
Love to see them both fixed especially the X3 as its very tidy looking.
Hi Al why not stick the 645 on fleabay with a reasonable reserve collection only I think you might be surprised just how much it will go for and whatever you get use it to fix the x3
Steel seal is funny stuff, it can be a miracle and a nightmare
I've had it save a cars life curing a headgasket and also block up thermostats/heater matrix's to make it overheat
Great video Al and Fudgy!
Hi Al & Fudgy, another brilliant episode, of course do both and flog them off and maybe make a few quid, take care, Derek,,,,
Love to see some BMW content. Defo worth trying to fix them up
Definitely yes to both projects they are both worth doing
Love them both so fix them another excellent video ❤
Will be great video footage Al
Go for it as for sliverlake that is their normal price the offer for any car/van ( plus they have avery big salvage yard with lots of use able cars)👍👍
Ha I'm actually watching this while sat having a tacho break parked on the A354 on the hampshire border at Salisbury. So not far
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just saw the opeing shots of the video and your becoming clones! 0:42 its like looking at a reflection of yourselves = wiskers, glasses, attire, stance, comments so fun😂😂😎😎ny
Repair both, its what you do best. The 645 is a beauty.
As they were effectively free it's a well worth repairing , there is significant margin in it
Great video as usual. 100% do em both up if it's economically viable, who doesn't like to enlarge thier collection of wonga? I'm saying this despite the fact I don't normally like beemers but that coupe does look a nice car. It'd be a shame to weigh em both in!! By the way, the idea of kettle usage can ony be bettered by the accompaniment of a bacon sarnie!!!
Fudgy makes his film appearance in 'Das Boot' of a BMW and Al finds a BMW under a load of Lt Pidgeon poo.😁 Of course you know you want to fix them because that's what you like to do, or, maybe there's Norway you can fix them. 😁👍👍
Well if I had to choose I'd scrap the 6 series and use the money to fix the other one which is more saleable. The big BMW's are beautiful cars but a boat anchor when they go wrong. 😃😃
Fix them both good content👍
Only one BMW I would consider owning, that being the V12 750iL that with some Alpina mods as the iL is basically a detuned Alpina you can get out the box 196mph and you can break the 200 mark if you went full Alpina street sleeper. Parts are also very easy as the V12 is two 525e 6 cyl's merged into one utilising a great deal from the 525e mechanics making the engine a lot more serviceable than most of the big engines. Had a few BMW's in me time but never got on with them, felt they were overpriced and just lacked "soul", actually tell a lie a 735i on a Y plate in the fire red with electric everything was quite a nice motor but as with all beemers, the head gasket went the way of the dinosaurs and the rebuild parts were heinous plus the added nause of having to have the block faced on top of head skimmed so I parted it out and made a small fortune...
Repair them lads looking forward to seeing you do them.
You know they will be sat in the yard for at least the next year lol I am sure there are specialist BMW breakers who would offer you more, prefer the van/mad stuff lol
Thanks Al. Enjoy that Norwegian beer next week.
Another ace video Al
AL - if only for content, annnnnd saving two perfectly recyclable motors (and the fact that you’re already 25% there) you MUST do the pair of ‘em !
Safe travels !
JCHK
I recon time allowing hopefully we’ll get them both fixed 👍
I'm the proud owner of the 635d I love that style of bmw, yeh not to everyone's taste but Jesus have you seen where there churning out now, repair it and run it you will love it
Put them both on the projects list. great mid week content
BMW stands for Bring My Wallet
I think fixing bmer’s and then raffle off at £1 a ticket. Someone gets a cheap car. Then money for further projects 👍
I’d be very interested in the X2 when fixed buddy.
The irony of a wheel missing off a trolley jack in a car from Anfield is not lost on me. 😂😂😂
Fixing 2 broken BMW's is a ridiculous idea , so , YES I think Al n Fudgie should do it
Please fix them both. Great Projects and all being well 2 usable cars at the end of it.
Loving this vehicle. Yes fudgy. Go drifting x
''two dead Fudgys, Chickens and a Badger,''.....😂🤣 Fix both as they look well cared for.
Absolutely Al,I'd love to see you repair them both if you would? Could you source another engine for the V8? Might be the easiest option? Love what you both do and please keep the content coming. 👍
I recon it’s easier fixed really, it’s not done major mileage 👍
Got to be worth a few quid that coupé thing as long as the rest of it is good, same with the SUV thing if it owes you nowt and the lump isn't a paper weight ?
Top quality badinage today fellas, keep it up 😂. The 645 needs saving!
Another great video has always al and fudgy and family's 👍
Put them in queue al 😂 interesting cars tho I do like the black one. And there has to be a profit there for the repair price is pretty low
Got to repair the 645 👍 Must be worth £5K 🤔🤔
two chains, chain kit, diesel pump sprocket, gaskets,
Need to do a collaboration with the Transformation guys also on TH-cam on the BMW 6 series, They just bought a silver one on their channel
I love the 645i wheels
kinda look awesome 😳
Taylor hedrington would be all over that 😂 plus it's the James bond special having its own smoke screen
Hetherington
This channel is definitely on the up a couple of nice cars what's next Al & fudgie wearing white overalls working in a clinically clean workshop 🤔😂😂😂😂😂
hi,please repair them both please,im a bm lover and they both deserve repairing!!anyway im enjoying your content and hello to fudgy and of course to you al..😀😎😎
Never understood those extra lip kits that stick to the bottom of things like on the 6series, they look odd.
Al Fudge you lads should definitely fix up the X3 that's a shame to scrap such a nice motor.
Good luck lads.
Do both, great content guys...
Fudgey hit the nail on the head
You are diesel mechanics
Fix them
Yep done the kseal thing on an Impreza,10 years ago, it’s still going.
Do the X3 for sure and sell it 645 just depends if it's just the head gasket and how easy is it to to do and really do you have the time? to do it ?as you have many other projects and customers vehicles to do last thing you want is more vehicles sat around in the yard for years so I would sell the 645 as spares and repair it's got some nice wheels on it
T’twould be nice to see both gixed..
I can send you a wheel Fudge 👍
Take your Beemer and Chev it (or LS it).
4.4v8 will be a 2 bottle of steel seal special
Yes lads lets see some repairs on these cars.
Two new projects… take them both on😊
Definitely repair them!
Love to see the 645 heads sorted! Cracking car and a full history. Also want to see the x3 done but definitely the 645
18:29 Steven James is up the road from me.... Local car!!! 😂😂😂
Yes 💯 repair both please, will make good content & both should make a few quid profit 👍🏼
Ooooh I’d love to see a in depth video on both cars tbh. You could raffle them off then?? Just a thought.
Yes to both. Obvs!
The timing chain and oil pump chain can be done without removing engine on the N47!
Excellent !! I haven’t looked it up yet bit manic driving back for Norway 👍
Fix them, Al. You do the 645, and Smudge should get on the X3. This would be a little different content to the usual Merc fleet, and you can make good money on each.
Liking the 645 but you've got too much on. If no subscriber/TH-camr wants it I'd flog it to a BMW specialist for repair/breaking since there's loads of valuable bits on it. Fix the X3 since it's an easy sell once done. Fudge climbing in and out of a boot with his bad back???
Hmmmm. Fix the X3, easy to flog on. 645i is a bit of a monster, is there a market for them anymore? Oh go on then fix em both! 😂😂
FIX EM👍👍👍🍺🍺🇬🇧🇬🇧
yes to both
I love that shape of 6 series, what a cracking vehicle! Nice wheels as well, I approve! I would personally fix the X3, I've taken the engines out of those in 2.5 hours, it's a really nice job, they come out of the top, you can leave the gearbox in, the front diff comes out with the engine, it's a decent design. The 645 however I would stick on eBay for spares or repairs, someone will do it, and it'd be nice to watch you do it, but I appreciate you don't have the time or enthusiasm.
Fix em Al you know you want too😂
The 645i will be a nightmare to fix......... trust me............
Fix it. 😎
The room went wobbly and it all went a bit AutoAlex 😂
personally i think you should just find a victim for both as with your work load and projects these could both be a world of pain , but also good fun and make some great videos , safe trip to norway
I wouldn't have a BMW made after 2009, they cut corners and made them hard to work on.
70's, 80's and 90's are your BMW golden years.
@dave4803:
Yeah they are the 'Rusty
Years ' see YCR body shop , more BMW's than
you can poke a stick at ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😳
@@charlesallanstewart-kl2op Mine's an 87, little rust but has held up pretty well.
Yup , like my '75 3.0s (E3) , I love my car
x3 deffo worth repairing you wont lose money on that at all, the 645i i would rather sell a bmw breaking specialist,, £250 from scrapyard taking piss, you could sell cats for that
Definitely pull the engine out of the x3 to do the chain for ease of access
Mrs H would like a 645 pocket rocket to replace Audi in the garage. Christmas present sorted for 2024.
Fix the X3 and use it as a Compcar!
my missus is keen to get an X5 we was looking at a 2015 3.0, here in Ireland which its €38k but I hear mix reviews on them.
The 645 is probably worth £3000 - £4000 with the gaskets done. Certainly on a 1 series the 2 litre diesel timing chain can be got at by removing the gearbox, probably the same on this one.
Save them both, you will make a good profit on them
Repair it Al and sell on its a great looking car ....be worth it
Please do both cars I think the 645 should bring a good price
Fix them both Al, would make good You Tube content and sale price when back running.
You know you want to play with both of them
M47 BMW Diesel, I take it it’s different to the M47R 🤷♂️ I’ve probably showed myself as being totally thick 🤣
I recon it’s an early N47 👍
Always something different with you 2 lol
Thought fudge was off to monster joes truck n tow in the trunk for a minute 😉
I hope you fix both of em Al & fudge, we don't see much with timing chains at the back of the engine or big v8s being fixed these days unless it's a tow truck or hgv of some sort. Milage is irrelevant of your giving them a chance to be taken care off and it's only 6 years before you won't be able to buy a combustion engined car anymore. I hope you let them live on.
