I have that same kubaton and its very effective. Ive carrried a kubaton for years while working. Unfortunately not many know how to use one. Great video looking forward to more.
@user-dl8rt4rt6u mine was given to me years ago I'm not sure where it originally came from. The newer ones seem to have a sharper point at the end and are thinner.
@@thomasbrannan9701 I must have one similar to you. Mine is 5/6 cms diameter and 14 cms long. But it doesn't have a pointy end. More of a rounded point if that makes sense? 🤔 But it's gotta be over 20 years old now!! I'm finding these educational videos quite interesting tbh 😉
I work in security and use my mini torch as a yawara/kubotan, it is very useful against any attacker. During and after my shifts. and also in everyday situations. So Thank You! 🙏🙏🙏
I bought a really girly kubaton as a lark, but I would actually like to learn to use it as self defense. Many places even allow me to bring it into small concerts because as a woman, I don’t look like I’ll be starting huge fights or hurting people.
Up under the jaw there is a pressure point if you press the kubits on there it will hurt like hell... A cop I knew taught me this back in the 1970s.. you said I can take a pen and bring you to your knees.. I said go ahead I want to see this.. he then took a magic marker and put it up under my jawline right where the nerve is and pushed...I said Uncle Uncle... That nerve under my jawline hurt for like 5 days!!
A friend of mine who was from a less permissive community said he a piece of a hardwood branch of appropriate size and length that he whittled down to a blunt point. If he had to use it he would ditch it wherever he could and walk away.
In New Zealand you’re not allowed to carry anything like this on your person for self defence, not even pepper spray. You just have to be aware of your surroundings and ready to use your hands/body to defend yourself.
A light tap with a kubotan has its own little pain. Definitely use it lightly on yourself just to get a feel for how much it can hurt. After that think about joints, where nerves are. Elbows, wrists, as he showed back of the neck. Hit them wherever you can
Can you do it with a pocket tactical flashlight? A flashlight is more convenient than kubaton, and you can use a flashlight as an illumination tool thus to temporarily blind an attacker aside from striking, with kubaton it is just a kubaton.
I've watched some of your videos and I'd like to know how a judge would rule self defense when you just sucker punch people from what I've seen.. Ofc it's better to strike and land 1st but that's just plain fighting not self defense😂

Can you tell me where you got that particular kubaton? I ordered one on amazon but the ends of it seem pretty dull

The true beauty of kubotons is that they are so simple and primitive in their design, but yet so effective and painful in their application.
we are literally talkign about a stick. you can also go to home depot and buy a rod. same effect.
beauty? !?!

Better buy peppermint spray and mini tactical flashlight with lumens higher than 1000.

Nice to see Eric Cantona helping out

The Kubotan has a pen shape and that gives me some John Wick flashback lol
Which is best the pointed or blunt? Also I'm in the UK so need it to be less obvious 👍
Would a pen (a car key, etc) work, at least partially, in a similar way a kubotan does?
Pretty much yes.
Thank you so much for making this video, Love from India
Anyone else seeing Murr and Q from impractical jokers?
😂😂😂 I see it. What a fabulous observation.
YES!

It's the same in Canada.
how is the crime rate in that country, I would assume the same as Aussie with strict rules.
Well F those places
People should be allowed to carry this self defense weapon in case a rabid dog attacks them; or a violent thug attacks them.
This is why I'd never live anywhere but the U.S. Every other country in this world is a Draconian shithole.
Do you sell brass knuckles or batons

jam it behind their ear,
You can also use ink pen just to make sure the pen is closed.
I have used both with great effect ..
Very good .. your fan from Egypt
When in the heat of the fight and the bad guy is taking blows from one of these will they think you have a knife and your trying to kill them?
I carry a tactical pen, tactical flashlight and a cane, I never leave home without them.
I Remember That Weapon,
buddy always looks terrified
I was trained to ALWAYS have my thumb over the back end of the kubotan.
f them up basically
my house keys does the exact same thing, was free and I don't even need to hide it. Who knew
Please show this video to the Hard2Hurt guy, since he made a video saying kubotans are useless.
Savage.
