remember when kobe scored 60 and took 50 shots and everybody thought it was a big deal. Jordan took 22 shots and scored 55, that's pretty good.

Well 22/50 Is not that bad overall. If my maths is right I believe that's 44%From the field. Which just happens to be his Career percentage anyways...And He had 4rbs 4ast 3stls. My point is he wasn't just being typical Kobe Jacking up Shots. He was actually getting guys involved and playing a Lil defense as well. And most importantly they Won the Game. Had they not won the game I would agree with you!

That's Kobe in his last game after 20 straight seasons playing the better conference, after coming back from catastrophic injuries toward the end. I recall Jordan, still in his prime, taking 49 shots against the Magic in '93 and scoring 64 in an OT loss. Statistical comparisons across years are a waste of time in for this sport.

@ 7:13... Check out Steve Kerr's reaction after the MJ bucket. I will never forget this shot. Simply incredible! You know what else is incredible? So many of Jordan's made field goals are nothing but net. He was the best ever!

The amount of nuttin' but net is also related to the technology. They changed the ball quality years ago, it was in 2008 or 2010. The ball is slightly lighter than back then.

One of the games I'll never forget. My second year of watching basketball being an 11-year-old kid and watching Michael Jordan I was in awe. When he retired, I cried because he was the only reason I watched basketball. He did it with such ease and had a killer instinct and was she really a pleasure to watch (same as Kobe Bryant)

I watch it now and am baffled by how easily he scored 55 points.
Lot of one on one coverage, no help defense and he spammed that 13 foot fade away in the paint.

Just look at the spacing and how clogged the lane was back then bec there wasnt a lot of 3pt shooting threat. This is one of the reasons why people believe that MJ can average 40 ppg today. He's a midrange god and very crafty within the perimeter. If the lane is open he would love to attack it and wont care if he gets fouled bec. he's a very good FT shooter.

+Ricky Moss That's not a travel look at it again, he planted that foot a split second before he lifted the ball up above his shoulders. Difference between him and players today is a lot of them will pick up their dribble earlier than how Jordan usually does his moves because they don't have the combination of skill, coordination, mentality and physical attributes to do it without travelling when they are under pressure. But it is not today's players fault, the NBA rules these days just don't challenge them at all, they know they are not gonna get called for travel so why not pick your dribble earlier to give the defense less chances to knock the ball loose.

The difference between him and LBJ is MJ had a all around game from jump and the best midrange game ever tbh but shot 3s when he wanted peope thought he just couldn't shoot them🤣 nah it was a choice.... prime example Portland in the damn finals a record still 6 3s in the 1st 1/2🤔 he went 6 for 8 as well smh, LBJ had the game but couldn't shoot as better but his last 5yrs his field goal % has risen to add his 3 point % has too meaning he had get there MJ was already there another example rookie yr 28.2 ppg... LBJ 20.6 which is still damn good and it has nothing to do with MJ's 2yrs at UNC because he did lead the with James Worthy to a title at 19yrs old so yeah again just proves a couple of ways MJ is fucking insane and LBJ is behind but still Great just not the greatest.

@@spitshinetommy3721 just imagine in 1997 still a physical league compared to the NBA today which is extremely fragile and soft? Remember Michael Jordan set records from 1984 to 1998 through the physically toughest era of the NBA. That's why its comical to think what Jordan would do to todays NBA with no hand checking or forearms on offensive players. 45+ppg would be Jordans average in todays NBA. It's really hard to believe that a player was just so much better then a player today like Lebron James, but Michael Jordan was. The proof is in the pudding with 10 Scoring titles, highest ppg average in the regular season and playoffs, 6 finals mvps, Defensive Player of the year, averaged 37.1ppg an entire 1987 season which was the most physical era of the NBA, 5 mvps, 6-0 in the finals, more 30/40/50 point games then Lebron James. This list goes on and on in Jordans favor! Keep watching The Last Dance documentary hopefully you can learn about the true GOAT Michael Jeffrey Jordan!

DOWN SOUTH yes at 40 it’s called challenging yourself and taking on the best something bron knows nothing about ,Jordan is the best ever it’s not even close so to bring up Washington where he berated 20plus a game shows your low IQ in basketball

MJ was amazing. I honestly was inspired by him. 20 freakin years later and i only compare this man to himself which mj was better the guy that played against lakers portland phoenix sonics or jazz. even then its hard he was so great that all are so special. my personal favorite was the jazz last series cause i knew it was last time i see him in the finals and after all the years he mustered up all he had and won it! Mj love you forever!

He scores 55 and the rest of the team scores 54. The bullets did the best thing to try not to double team him and just let one man beat them. That would have normally worked but, with MJ can erupt for 60 if needed. If they had double teamed Jordan then the rest of the team would have scored another 20 points and the end score would have been 120 - 105. This was the best coaching decision on the bullets coaching. WOW!

How can I express what I feel? The fadeaway is the most difficult shot and did you see the number of fadeaways/toughshots the guy takes... like it's nothing...and he was 34 years old...not even in his prime anymore !!! He does it so easily and so smoothly !! In a playoffs game...!
Shame on anybody who tries to disrespect not only basketball but MJ comparing him to LJ...that's crazy !
And none of those tough shots(besides the last one) surprise the announcers ! Another day at the office for MJ...

That NBA ON NBC tune though... hahah I love it. Man, I spent 6 weeks in the hospital as a kid, and I remember being wide awake at night watching any games that were on. And I used to look forward to watching any games I could, even on school nights. I feel so lucky to have grown up with this era of basketball and MJ. I was old enough to appreciate and understand all of his championships.

Being born in 88 I'm blessed to have grown up in the Jordan era and the Shaq and Kobe era and I agree with you man it don't get no better than NBA on NBC! They need to bring it back!!!!!!!

Just a regular, degular double nickel in the playoffs. I watched this live thinking, "Washington really can't play much better than this...and MJ is just swatting them away like a gnat". He was demoralizing to compete against...and that's the ultimate advantage I give him over Kobe and LeBron. He didn't just beat you, he took your will. Washington played their asses off in Game 3, but they played like a team HOPING to win a game vs a team that knew they would.

this is a jordan video it has nothing to do with lebron but people like you always bring up Lebron? i watch so many jordan videos and every comment i see lebron will never be jordan.. but how come every time you people always put lebrons name next to jordan? Jordans time is over and Jordan will always be the greatest. but right now in this ERA Lebron is the best. people should be glad the NBA has a player like Lebron and to inspire kids to play ball, just like Jordan did
