Garth ALWAYS does the hidden 3rd verse live... ALWAYS. The verse was written for TANYA TUCKER when she recorded it (before Garth)... since Tanya waited to put it on an album Garth asked for the song back (since he co-wrote it) and Tanya let him have it.
I just got back from my Sister. And YES there's a 3rd verse, but it's only during the Live Shows. All covers of anything is almost always the studio version of the covered song. Besides, even if ATR knew about the 3rd verse, they wouldn't do it anyway, because that's Garth's Thing! This just happens to be a Garth Brooks song done in an All That Remains style. In my opinion, the best cover is when the band plays it in their own unique sound.

Three thirty in the morning Not a soul in sight The city's looking like a ghost town On a moonless summer night Raindrops on the windshield There's a storm moving in He's heading back from somewhere That he never should have been And the thunder rolls And the thunder rolls Every light is burning In a house across town She's pacing by the telephone In her faded flannel gown Asking for a miracle Hoping she's not right Praying it's the weather That's kept him out all night And the thunder rolls And the thunder rolls The thunder rolls (the thunder rolls) And the lightning strikes Another love grows cold On a sleepless night (on a sleepless night) As the storm blows on out of control Deep in her heart As the thunder rolls She's waiting by the window When he pulls into the drive She rushes out to hold him Thankful he's alive But on the wind and rain A strange new perfume blows And the lightning flashes in her eyes And he knows that she knows And the thunder rolls And the thunder rolls And the thunder rolls The thunder rolls (the thunder rolls) And the lightning strikes Another love grows cold On a sleepless night As the storm blows on Out of control Deep in her heart As the thunder rolls (deep in her heart) Deep in her heart The thunder rolls The thunder rolls The thunder rolls on And the thunder rolls

Been a Garth fan since I can remember and I've always kept an open mind when it comes to covers. I've got to say this is the best damn cover I've ever heard! Those guitar riffs are killer! It would be so much better if they added the 3rd verse though!
This highlights my "living under a rock" situation. I heard this before the original version and had no idea it was a cover. I like both versions as much as each other now.
On a cold winter morning In the time before the light In flames of Death's eternal reign We ride towards the fight When the darkness has fallen down And the times are tough, alright The sound of evil laughter falls Around the world tonight And the thunder rolls...
I watch you the lead singer on TimCast IRL, almost everyday, you call yourself and very failed singer, if this is failure, what does success look like, RESPECT BROTHER, GREAT RENDITION OF THE CLASSIC.
#allthatremains keep it coming boy's, y'all just rocked that song! Y'all have gained so much respect from me in the last year or so since i have heard y'all! I would die to come see y'all in concert one day! Keep it cranking boy's!! Love to hear more from y'all men!! Such a killer firey song! After what I jist heard it blows me away, on how some cover songs by different bands can sound so much better way better than the original singers version of the song! It blows my mind n just puts more respect from me to the band! Cause some major singers who are the original owner of that song, then a whole different band does a cover n sounds way better than the original singers that's pretty impressive! especially if I'm a huge fan of the original singers version of that song that's getting covered!
Brian Caloway I saw them live at a festival show couple years ago, didn't know many songs, but stuck around and lived the whole show, great sounds live and great songs, got me into them big time

All That Remains is one of the original bands that got me into metal. Along with Killswitch, Lamb of God, and Bullet. The mid 2000’s were an awesome time to be a metal head. Tough to beat Garth’s original, but there is no denying they nailed this. I always said to my buddies that The Thunder Rolls is the most ‘metal’ country song I’ve ever heard.
In my opinion, the best cover is when the band plays it in their own unique sound.
hell yea it would have
this song is amazing no matter who sings it if its country or rock as long as it is played well to keep it alive and well as a fan of this song i don't ever want it to die
patrick beeman I hope someone does poppa come home one night to find his wife gone and he drove his truck into town and drove his truck into the hotel ...ok that was one of Garth brooks's song and it was good but if someone does do that please don't make it a rap song or something with Taylor fucking swift in it..
You are right
Gorden Wood I think that one's just Mama and Papa! If you like Garth I highly recommend listening to all of his stuff, he's one of the greats.
I'm a fan of both country and nuwave rock/metal this is a very well done cover how come no one complained with NiN and Johnny Cash collaborated on "Hurt" both versions equally great just vibe with the music right
patrick beeman you cant beat Garth brookes on this
OMFG!!!! My heart skipped a beat (or two) when I got the notification for this, and I saw the title. I used to listen to the original of this on repeat way back. This is sooo goooooooooood!!!! It's about time someone did a decent cover, kudos to A.T.R. job well done :D (finally I can listen to this while people are over without anyone feeling ways about being forced to listen to country music hahahahahaha)
Tink S. Wish I never was a fan of country but I've always liked this song for whatever reason haha but I dig this version quite a bit
+Drew Peveler it's always seemed that even people who didn't like country music, liked atleast one Garth Song. Garth would make the hair stand up on your neck
Jarek Sheetz He still does :) hell this cover gives me goosebumps
Yes!!!! Garth has a way of touching everyone's feels in some way or another with his work.
+TheyCallMeGunny I prefer Garth's version also, no one can do it like him
My father was Joel E Williams Sr 11/06/1972 and his spirit is the most powerful I've ever known of in history. He's made the universe do things that have been beyond doubt clear messages to me and others around me used as conduits able to receive the message and tell me I needed to go to the scene he was killed and get a certain thing of.my father's I would have never seen again if I didn't leave when I did and the man never knew.my father. My dad loved this song, I showed it to him my senior year of Waterville, ME High School and we used to coexist as we did and drink beers and be the bad motherfuckers we now only exist through me. Thank you for making this song, as I feel my father even more than I do since the tragic 6/30/21 when he was taken from us, when I hear this beautiful badass song just as beautiful and badass as my other half. - Joel Williams Jr 08/09/1998
Three thirty in the morning
Not a soul in sight
The city's looking like a ghost town
On a moonless summer night
Raindrops on the windshield
There's a storm moving in
He's heading back from somewhere
That he never should have been
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
Every light is burning
In a house across town
She's pacing by the telephone
In her faded flannel gown
Asking for a miracle
Hoping she's not right
Praying it's the weather
That's kept him out all night
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls (the thunder rolls)
And the lightning strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night (on a sleepless night)
As the storm blows on out of control
Deep in her heart
As the thunder rolls
She's waiting by the window
When he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him
Thankful he's alive
But on the wind and rain
A strange new perfume blows
And the lightning flashes in her eyes
And he knows that she knows
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls (the thunder rolls)
And the lightning strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
As the thunder rolls (deep in her heart)
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls
The thunder rolls
The thunder rolls on
And the thunder rolls
GG man. You got everything right.
That took a while to type
“(the thunder rolls)” and “(on a sleepless night)” the best parts of the song, imo.
@@specialk864 yeah😁
So you know how to copy and paste. So what?
My grandpa would listen to the country song and I always loved it. I hope he's ok wherever he is now. Hope to see again in the next life.
It's nice to see artists influenced by all different kinds of music.
Waitin on a hard azz band to do Garth's 'Shameless'
Real
@@kymberlynnethompson9306 if you ask me I can see Hell Yeah doing that.
@@zulu9953 thanks man.
And on that same line, also contributing to different kinds of music.
They can really make those guitar 's sing , awesome ✝️👍🗝️🌹 love it
My ex loves this band. I’m 100% country & he is 100% metal. We never made it. This song does bring me back to that day of our breakup. Love it & thank you
I know your pain I was married for 33 years and found my wife cheating on me we had 5 kids together and she broke me like I was no one
rock & roll lover I’m sorry y’all didn’t work out. When you love them so much & try to be there for them...even if it hurts, i still would never have changed it for the world.
Had no clue this existed until Phil mentioned it on Timcast tonight. Well done!
Timcast ftw. Phil is a based libertarian like myself.
I was surprised all that remains did this cover. I love it and was a huge Garth Brooks fan when I was growing up.
Suzanna Pierce same here I grew up on Garth BEFORE I ever knew what rock music was. Great cover but it totally could have been way better
I’m no surprised in the slightest. The lead singer listens to everything and pulls influence from every genre.
This is an amazing remake of the original. The 3rd verse done in this would be amazing.
Suzanna Pierce They did a great job on this song it would be cool if he and these guys did a concert together that would be a big blast..
Me shit
I'm a big Garth Brooks Fan, raised on country and classic rock. I grew into a Metalhead. I can appreciate this cover because its cross genre(not commonly done). A nice spin and twist on a legendary country song. Great cover. :)
My mom raised me on this song. I raised myself on ATR. This cover is lit 🔥
This is stunning genius. Raised in country, with a taste for alt metal. This satisfies both needs!
Agree! Would love to get your opinion on this one!

Absolutely love this version and yes her voice is just as powerful
Bardzo ładnie ,nie samowite to jest jaki tutaj jest głos poprostu to jest świetne nie ma słów żeby to opisać to trzeba czuć całym serduchem .Super 🎸👏
This version is so badass and Diamante on the background vocals makes it even more badass!! 💙
I would love to hear Garths opinion. I bet he's blown away.
I just wish that Diamante was credited anywhere in this.. She has a phenomenal voice.
R.I.P. Oli Herbert. Phenomenal guitarist 😞
My absolute favorite. Only famous person I got to shake the hand of. Still hurts me til this day that he is gone. He's was so good
He studied jazz and blues and he has a degree in music composition
Luis Felipe Ferreira nice to now
ten months later and heart still hurts ;-(
It was a sad day for music the day he died 😢
Seen them live recently in an outdoor event... They played this while it was raining.. It was beautiful
I remember seeing them live 10 years ago at mayhem fest. It was pouring all day. This song would've been great to hear that day.
OLI IS MISSED DEARLY TRULY A LEGEND A TRAGIC LOSS FROM THIS WORLD. GOD REST HIS SOUL.
Been a Garth fan since I can remember and I've always kept an open mind when it comes to covers. I've got to say this is the best damn cover I've ever heard! Those guitar riffs are killer! It would be so much better if they added the 3rd verse though!
Wanted to comment the same thing.
As a fan of the 'original' version, I can say I absolutely love this cover. Great job.
The same here. I grew up a Garth Brooks fan, even if I rarely listen to him anymore.
Okay this has to be my most favorite cover of this song ever!!! I mean seriously I've never heard it like this and I'm in love! 😍😍 keep it guys!!
kayla gorman
Probably the best rock cover of any song of any genre ever.
Its incredible.
Diamante's voice gives me chills
Would love to hear them a cover of Chris Daughtry's "HOME"..will definitely Rock \m/
This highlights my "living under a rock" situation. I heard this before the original version and had no idea it was a cover. I like both versions as much as each other now.
On a cold winter morning
In the time before the light
In flames of Death's eternal reign
We ride towards the fight
When the darkness has fallen down
And the times are tough, alright
The sound of evil laughter falls
Around the world tonight
And the thunder rolls...
I love having my birthday twice a day, or whenever I want to revisit this song and the lyrics ❄️❄️❄️330AM/Pm
I had the great pleasure of seeing Garth Brooks and as much as I like his version I really like this 1
RIP Oli, you were a legend!
Songs so amazing... hearing it in concert was AMAZING!
Brilliant!! Love this version...always loved the song but WOW... Diamante sounds amazing as well !❤❤❤❤
Dreamt of this song and woke up with this in my head. Needed to hear it again
This song honestly made me cry so hard when I first listened to it I relate so much (tho its missing a verse) I love it both the song and the cover
I love this cover :D It's so epic, I listened to the original after hearing this cover and both versions are amazing
Perfectly Rock depicted cover of a classic country song! Wish more bands did this kind of thing.
Masterpiece!!!!! I love Garth Brooks and I love this remake. The hard heavy sounds, the female vocals are awesome the whole thing is brilliant 👏
Never really got into ATR, but I have listened to this by Garth Brooks when I was little, so let me say this. HOLY SHIT THAT'S BITCHIN
On a cold winter morning
In the time before the light
In flames of death's eternal reign
We ride towards the fight
ohh wrong tune
They're awesome in concert
Brian Caloway I saw them live at a festival show couple years ago, didn't know many songs, but stuck around and lived the whole show, great sounds live and great songs, got me into them big time
When the thunder rolls it's Ollie playing an awesome solo in heaven.
Absolutely Phenomenal, love every second of it!
Best cover ever. And remember, Oli may be gone, but his soul is on this track forever. The phrase “make the guitar cry” is prevalent here. He made sure of that. Rest in peace; legendary lead guitarist!
I consider this song paying respect to the one and only GARTH BROOKS.. I’m a metal fan and hands down would go to a GARTH BROOKS show.
Check out state of mine thunder rolls. They stay true to the original frfr.
I’m a rock and metal too but I have however been to some good country and hip hop concerts
Same here brother!
@@blknightsixtyfo Better than this version imo
Hell yes
I've always wondered how this kinda thing flies. Would love for remixers to get recog 🌹
I thinks it’s all a matter of opinion. Personally, I like it. But, I’m guessing someone who doesn’t like rock would find it bad.
🤘🎸Garth Brooks is thinking damn this version is good 🎸🤘deep in her heart ❤️the thunder rolls 🌩
I grew up on country and Garth Brooks was one of my most loved artist's. Hearing this song brought back a lot of childhood memories, more so of my grandfather. I miss that wiserack militant. I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU GUYS! This cover is one of the BEST I have ever heard, you did the original honor. Keep it going guys you are fck'n amazing.
I want to hear them do this song with the extra verse on the end. That would be awesome! Seems like that version was made to have bands like this cover it. ;-)
I hear your soul son ✝️ love mom✝️
I love Garth but I like this version as well. They did a good job unlike other who redo a song and mess it up
All That Remains is one of the original bands that got me into metal. Proud of the boys in ATR for enjoying some main stream success after all of those years with their noses to the grindstone, touring and building a name for themselves. They deserve some time in the spotlight. If you want to hear what these guys sounded like in their heyday, check out - The Air That I Breath, This Calling, Six, Two Weeks, Not Alone, Empty Inside, and It Dwells In Me.
Na, gotta go before those songs too....This Darkened Heart is where they really hit.
I do believe even Garth would approve! Keep up the good work, we're out here listening.
This. This is a cover.
Made their own-
Not a tribute disguised as Cover.
Love you guys.
5FDP+ATRM = a match in heaven.
And my music genre: whats Yours Reader? Comment above, not below
Love the atmospheric pressure/vibe 😂
*To me, they did the song justice, while at the same time, adding their own creative stamp to the song (The female backing vocals and the screamed "The Thunder Rolls!").*
Brettbren I think Garth would approve.
*I believe he would, as well.*
I think it would be cool if Garth sung a part of it.
Garth plays it on his xm channel
My wife liked that touch as well (female backing vocals)
