And I mean... of course they'll promote Kanto a lot, they know it's marketable, so they sell it. Especially Charizard, as you said. But the community shows a lot of love to Johto, because of HG/SS, which improves Gold and Silver in every way and even adds content from Crystal.

The backflames are neat and give it somewhat of a fireplace look which in itself is fun. Anyways, happy the Cyndaquil fans receive a feature here. Ah, and in regards of the anime, I found the evolution into Quilava rather random. Quilava never really had many big appearances and could have been perfectly fine staying Cyndaquil. Pikachu shows it well: evolution is overrated (at least if you don't properly write a story afterwards that would lead to anything fruitful).
