Hi, joe I was wondering when you were going to step the dbxle game up, I have a losi 5t with a flier 400 amp esc and a 750 kv Leopard motor and when I tell you it will do wheelies on command in the grass it is the most powerful truck in my 24 car collection cant wait to see the dbxle with that setup.
its nice, 8s run is up tomorrow, its super smooth and kept its temps very well like 126 degrees, I'm waiting on the 6s to get here so I can 12s it. Soon!!
I wonder how that'll do on 12s I could have swore the ESC said on 12s Max 600kv I hope them temp stay cool cuz that is what caught my eye on there was those low temps looks like it could be a beautiful combo though
Come on man!!! I know you want to protect your warranty but these Hobbywing products say that for safety but people usually use higher KV motors on their Hobbywing ESCs and never have any problems. I have a Max5 and it supposed run on less than 1100kv on 8s. I use a 2200kv TP motor on 8s motor all the time on 8s and it runs cool and without any issues so far the almost year and a half I've had it. The problem I hear is that if you are using it on a high speed build it still underperforms the XLX2 it cuts off on amperage. I find this disappointing because the XLX2 is basically the standard of affordable power ESCs and it's $ 250 while this is a whole $ 450. I use Hobbywings as opposed to Castles because of the reliability, that being said the Castles are more powerful for the same class, I thought since this is a 1/4 scale and more that $ 200 more than the XLX2 they were going targeting the XLX2 for people doing high speed runs to get better amperage and hence performance but the XLX2 still performs better. So it's a bit of a dud.
@@Tejaye777 Thanks for the reply. You are right. I reached out to Hobbywing and they said the same thing, that the 600kv is just a guide line and I should be fine. I ended up putting it in this 12S FG Sportsline 4WD Electric build with the 800kv Castle...12S. It runs great and with the Game Changer fans my temp was only 120 degrees so I can gear up if I want to. I also just bought my first XLX2 that I'm putting in my FELONY so I can run 8S. Can't wait!

Maybe the ESC. The motor, absolutely not. 12S is way too much for the drivetrain for the ARRMA 8S trucks anyways. I do a lot of damage with just 8s long term.

Problem with fitting this in an xmaxx, besides the size of the can, how the heck are you going to fit 6s lipos in the battery trays without major modifications. Time will tell, because someone is going to do it.

I just bought xlx2 & it's cutting on 8s on a limitless wtf .. mamba8s was great xlx2 not really ... you get some of them are working & some are faulty
The DBXLE is gonna fly with that setup. I run 16s in mine with a flier 400amp. Hobbywing definitely stepped there game up

Good budget alternative and middle ground to a Lehner Motor and MGM combo. Not as powerful but not as expensive.

Looks perfect for an infraction (GT setup) with a huge pinion and a tiny spur gear. I wonder how many amps it can handle under 5-10s of WOT?
