time and time again i think - you can't make vid more epic (and joyful at the same time) than this. and booom! next vid completely blows my mind and leaves me speechless. again! respect man! and thanks for the fun of tackling these iconic tunes in minimalistic-set-up approach, really lookin forward to try that one for sure!
A video about Gary Moore would be great. For me one of the most complete rock/blues musicians that ever existed. And of course, one of the best guitar players/singers in the world...
Gilmour, Knopfler and Gary Moore are my three fav guitarists! It's great to see Ben pay attention to Gilmour: he's not worlds fastest or most technical guitarist: but I don't care: Gilmour is special because he makes/made the greatest melodies with only simple scales: it proves he's a musical genius. Gary Moore? Simply great. The biggest rival of Eddie van Halen in the 80s, but I think more versatile. Moore played blues, jazz, rock, metal, etc. Listen to "The Messiah will come again", live in Montreux. Wow.....
DiMeola got his picking into the stratosphere by unknowingly emulating fingerpickers that he thought used a flatpick. Excellent slide without slide here Ben. Youve got much more than amazing articulate speed.
Yeah, you got a nice pick attack--I noticed that instantly. Yeah, it's not just about striking the string. it's about doing so with precision and control at any volume so you can really control the accents and dynamics. It’s fascinating to see where we all draw our musical education from. I’ve come to believe that if you have a musical mind, you’ll find a way to learn and develop it, no matter the path.
Dude, your videos are covering all my favourite guitarists. What do you think of Mike Oldfield? He's one of my heroes, but I never thought he got the recognition he deserved. Just listen to his shredding in Ommadawn!
Ben,у тебя мощный,агрессивный стиль игры на гитаре.Супер убойное звукоизвлечение.У тебя есть планы снимать джемовые импровизации?Я думаю ты можешь взорвать гитарный Ютуб!🎸🔥
Badass, Ben. Gilmour's down-picking is actually ridiculous in how much he got out of it vs. how people perceived his riffs and guitar parts and learned them accordingly. I contend that Gilmour, Hendrix and Ed are probably the three guys who improved everybody's overall technique by writing simple yet smoothly complicated riffs that people kinda overlearned lol. Jimmy Page is the opposite in terms of people learning sharply applied guitar playing via swagger and looseness (the 'Page is sloppy' narrative that gets often misread)
For fuck sake, dude is so precise with his picking that he plays delay without a delay pedal
“Shred Like Hell.” 😂

I've been waiting for this one! Magnificent bastard, aren't you? lol
I love David Gilmour, he is one of my favorite guitarists out there. Please make a video about Gary Moore!

You are killin' it, with your channel. I'm here for it, man 🤘🏼😸🤘🏼
I had to try out that riff when I got off work. That is insanely fun to play that way. I highly recommend trying it.

Wish you were here is my fave album. So much killer music! Love this!
Great stuff! Less or no picking sound would let us hear the playing better. Keep it up, show us whatever your heart desires. Amazing playing.
One of the favourite episodes

That sounded awesome instead of delay

That's awesome, I did something similar with Slash's intro to Welcome To The Jungle.
Your album needs a Gilmore inspired track or four… love your take on his playing!
Let's see some Gary Moore please Ben!
Did the exact same. Drove everybody nuts
