I would try pulling the fuse for door controller and motor. It will reset the unit and hopefully start working again. If you don't have start/stop you can also disconnect the negative better cable for a few minutes.
yes, press the button in-between the door open buttons on the center overhead console, above the rear view mirror. you know the one that seems to activate child lock with the blue light. This button also makes it so you can manually open/close the doors from the outside. just make sure to pull the handle not push the button. I have a few really bad days with the sliding door issue and manually closing seemed to be the only way to get the kids to school.
Question : how to fix the door which doesn't open all the way to the back? In my case it bugs half the way. But it closes correctly.. Have a good day and thanks for your videos!!
Yes, I still have this car. I have had two issues with it. 1. the sliding doors not closing, this video addresses that. 2. rough transmission shifts. I am mitigating by resetting the transmission control module (TCM) link: th-cam.com/video/k5lQmHBBvQA/w-d-xo.html I don't think the transmission is a long term reliability concern and I'm not sure everyone has the problem, however, you should assume you'll have to reset the TCM about once a month. I would buy it again but that's a decision everyone has to make for themselves.
Your explanation of the problem and solution is good, but this may not fix all of them. FCA actually issued TSB 08-008-20 to address complaints regarding power sliding door behavior. This is applicable to all 2017-2020 models and the fix is a software update to both Power Sliding Door Modules.
Weather stripping does not give off a grinding sound! Silicone is fine for weather stripping, but rails need white lithium grease to specific areas then wipe the excess to not seal in grit! He did a good half-ass job! It will help some. A grinding sound means grit. blow it out, the follow your real maintenance manual for the right places!
Your videos are excellent sir, clear and to the point.
Great, I’m glad you are finding value in them.
@@TheLawnEngineer Yes I agree with All who Watch your Channel. One of my Favorites! Thanks for this frustrating issue FIX!!! Who Knew!
@@dporrasxtremeLS3 Glad to help! Thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment.
I'll pick up some this week and give it a shot. Thanks in advance.
You're welcome, hope it helps.
My driver side slider is just clipping it was stuck and then I pushed it open. Now it’s just clipping but opening any ideas on what I can do

Is there a way to disable all power from the sliding doors so I can open them manually from the outside?
I’m not sure, I’ll have to look into this.

do you have any videos planned on brakes? have 37k miles, have not touched brakes. video explaining how to check and replace pads/rotors?
I didn't but it's on my list now, thanks for the idea.
My 2017 sienna is having the same issue. I’m willing to give this a shot cause I can’t find anyone posting about an issue like this.
Thanks for checking in, please let me know if it helps on your Sienna.
The track on the bottom is slacked and falls when the door opens and when I lift it up while closing it closes fine
I sounds like one of the rollers/tracks is worn out.

You likely need new lift gate shocks/springs. If they loose their spring assist the actuator doesn’t have enough torque to lift the gate up.
Do you still have this car? Do you like it looking to get into a used one

Great point, I should make a follow up video to talk about the TSB.
Good God, thank you for this video. I have the same booster seat too, lol.
One other thing to try is disconnect the neg battery terminal and let the entire system power down. Others have said that can help.
The lawn engineer looks like Bill Servos (My Uncle, u know it My Mom’s Brother)
I’ll have to check Billy out. He must be awesome 😎
Thanks for the Video. I am looking at the same issue. Pacifica Limited MY 2017.
Hopefully this helps, let me know how it works.
sweet, I'm gonna do this next time I wash it! thanks.
Let me know how it works.
We just got a 2019 used, and I’ve been seeing this issues in reviews. Glad to know it’s an easy fix! Do you know if there’s a manual override?
You can close the doors manually with the handle but its not like closing a sliding door without an auto-close system.
Thank you very much!

You are very passionate about minivan door maintenance.
It's the bracket Hinge on the door that needs to be replaced
Good to know, thanks for the taking the time to share.
@TheLawnEngineer No problem it's the 3 rubber that rolls the door back and forth that's worn-out
@@derrickkelly6832 great to know, thanks again.
This didn’t work for me 😢
Have you checked out video 2 and 3? Now that these vehicles are getting older, it’s possible that rollers are wearing out.
Get to the point damn
