If it was HER family home from HER parents he has no right. It is NOT his families house just because she married him. Inheritance laws don't work that way🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Since op's husband has no backbone she should have said this to him as well:
"Since your parents have an ultimatum, so will I. Your parents or me. Either way, the house is in MY name. Whoever you choose, I WILL still sell the house, as is my right."

Why did OP say she AND HER HUSBAND inherited their house? If it originally belonged to her parents, SHE inherited the house, he didn't and he couldn't sign it over to his parents.

No is the best answer, but if they don't understand your answer then something is wrong with your n law. Stick to your answer no matter what, and it is up to you what you do with your own house.

Am I mistaken or did the bride bring that vacation home into the marriage? I guess she's stupidly put her husband's name on the house, but you never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever do that. No, in-laws had a lifetime to save up money. No money for you, greedy in-laws. That woman's husband is the biggest schemer of all. Dump him and his greedy family.

It doesn't say who they inherited from. But if THEY inherited from her parents, him name would still be on the deed. Depending on what the will said. I don't get why his parents thought it was part of some legacy though
