I guess I had no family loyalty. Growing up, they were just the people that lived in my house and I couldn't wait to be 18, so I could move out. Not because they did anything to make me hate them, I just did not, still do not feel any connection to them. My parents tried to give my sister and I, everything we wanted. We never missed a meal, had nice clothes, etc. I just didn't feel that connection or love, whatever that is. I think this was totally on my side. I think that my parents loved me and wanted me to be the best I could be.
Good story. 👍👍 As for the stepmom, OP couldn't actually prove that she (as he put it) turned a blind eye to the activities of her husband and son. They could have successfully kept it from her. Therefore, if it were me I would have taken her at her word and do what I could to financially help her.
Very good job dudes and nicely well done!! Congratulations 995.85% yo throughout the 1st sizzling patriotic hot week of said splendid September y'all. I would give Karen a chance considering karmatic justice punishes his step brother for embezzlement.
Wow this blows my mind! There’s no way that someone should have to sell their built company over to his step brother because he deserves it more! This just makes me sick. This real makes my heart reel.
She should divorce him and leave them right alone. You can always talk to his other son, don’t have anything to do with your ex-husband, or the other boy.❤👮👮♂️👮👮♂️
Loyalty to family or coworkers isn't assumed. Lying to protect them from the consequences of their wrong doings or paying off their debts. That's being complicit in the wrongdoing and allowing it to thrive. True loyalty would mean making the actual wrongdoer, not some innocent scapegoat, face the consequences of their actions to protect the safety, well-being, and reputation of an entire department, ship, or company. For example, the blue wall of silence; a police officer beats his partner and kids. Other officers feel it's their duty to protect him from prosecution. The jerk then kills his family and sets the house on fire, or the wife flees with the kids, the press get hold of it and have the time of their lives. Headlines such as" Cop kills family- Police cover up abuse allegations"or "Cop arrested for Domestic Abuse. These headlines cause the community to lose faith in the system. If they aren't prepared to hold one of their accountable, how can they be trusted to uphold the law?
Karen was completely in the dark. Love can blind anybody, no matter how old they are. Ethan and Dad are clearly master manipulators. Otherwise, I doubt Karen would've believed them all this time
Karen and Ethan aren’t your real family but your dad Robert treats them better than you and you’re his biological son. Make it make sense you founded your own company but they want you to give it to a loser??? You’d better not!!!
The ending sucks! Why not tell the sentence exactly? Give the listener some satisfaction. Especially, when like this one the story is not that great to begin with.

So, Dear Old Dad is willing to commit extortion and blackmail. Felonies. And embezzlement. Go ahead, Daddy-O. The judge will love this. 😮
Sometimes it be your own family that does you dirty😢😢😢😢
I hate it when they do that 😒
Too true. One could see this one coming from years ago. As in they considered OP to be a third class citizen.
Been there,
Been there too, to a lesser degree, but it still hurt.
Alex better not sell his company he created and worked hard for to share with his step brother who’s not even his real brother😂😂😂😂
Agreed
@@jamesalvisii8491 And from the sounds of it. That dad isn't even his real dad.
As soon as he threatened me, I'd leave and tell him that he'll be hearing from my attorney. Extortion is a felony.
Finally a story that’s different! Why can’t all the new ones be this unique?
OP...DON'T YOU DARE GIVE IN..That's not your blood..and NO MEANS NO!
Oh. Gambling habit + Embezzlement. The everlasting two-note plot.
The magazine cover blinks lol
DUDE WAS SO JEALOUS ! THAT HE WANTS TO ROB ///. BULLY HIS OWN SON! TO GIFT 🎁 2. ANOTHER MAN SON !
Karen didn't seem so bad. Stuck trying to be a peacekeeping. It's better than some of these stories with awful stepparents
I would give Karen a chance, not right away, but in the future.
Family loyalty my Fanny.
People who say that only expect to receive it, they never feel the need to give it.

Stepbrother will probably ruin the company.
It seems to me that Karen got swept along on Robert and Ethan's chaos and was too bewildered to notice what they were doing.
Who ever says "Do me a solid"? I am around a lot of 20 and 30 year olds and they don't talk like that. When did the word "favour" go out of favour?
Complete disowning. No help whatsoever.
Way to go Alex 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow! Tech Magazine is really something when the cover blinks at you. :D
If I had a father like this I would have gone no contact with him and stepbrother
Has anyone notice that his eyes blink on the magazine 10:16 and 10:21
Good catch
Wow smart tech on a magazine.
"It's like Magic!" ~~Harry Potter novel
Likewise, glass of wine out of the Bugs Bunny Dimension.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good story. 👍👍

You can't choose your blood, but you can choose your family.

Best for the family. NOT!!!
They threated alex?

you should never fight fire with fire, instead, you were supposed to fight fire with water
No, just call the firefighters
Imagine they teach that at firefighting school
Family Extortion, this is why you alway bring a lawyer to any family meeting.
Ethan can join impromptu poker games in prison and Robert can teach creative accounting to interested prisoners.
Robert and Ethan should meet my two friends Lucy and Chloe.

Standard tactics, if you can't persuade an ownwer to sell, appeal to close families greed.
He told you to get a better job. Now that it made him money they want to take it for them selves
Please don’t sale your business to them because you built up the company.👮👮♂️👮👮♂️
Why is he calling his parents by their names and not mom and dad?
Some families do that. It may be a matter of social class.
And he called them "Uncle" and "Dad" to their faces.
Ho no it will not your dad and stepbrother will both go to jail. The dad stepp
I would do the same. She might not know the details...
What happened to the uncle?
Karen and Ethan aren’t your real family but your dad Robert treats them better than you and you’re his biological son. Make it make sense you founded your own company but they want you to give it to a loser??? You’d better not!!!
I would offer help to Karen, but I would also ask for a persentage of the company, with a Proviso of unscheduled audits.
The ending sucks! Why not tell the sentence exactly? Give the listener some satisfaction. Especially, when like this one the story is not that great to begin with.
Ethan has prospects?
Prospects at the blue oyster bar!
And WTF is uncle Mike?
His dad try to make him sale his to his brother. The two of them will go to jail.👮♂️👮🧍🧑🏾🦱
