How can you talk about a future of Harry and Voldemort’s relationship without discussing the fact that Harry was a horcrux? That would have a profound impact on that relationship.
@@kalebnolan8343 he’d figure it out if they were working together. Harry would also likely figure it out. Whether or not they did, it would still allow for the connection into each other’s minds. You can’t underestimate the impact.
@@kalebnolan8343 sure. And what happened was in the book. But this video is a hypothetical about what would happen if they did work together. I was just pointing out a glaring omission in how the hypothetical was addressed in the video.
I always liked the idea of having fan fiction where Harry was sorted into Slytherin and became the dark lord. Forget joining Voldemort, I mean overthrow Voldemort and become the leader of the death eaters himself. Then he could start making his own Horcruxes. That would be cool.
That being said though, Voldemort being an excellent legilimens would've read harry's mind like he did with all his other followers before they joined him and would no doubt be able to find out that Harry was indeed willing to join him and also that he is indeed a Horcrux. My only problem with this video is that it doesn't quite specify when this takes place it's heavily implied that it takes place during Deathly hallows part 2 where Harry discovers that he was supposed to die. If so then that would give harry more of a leg to stand on since Voldemort would by then only have 2 Horcrux's left that being Harry and Nagini, not to mention Harry would've fought many battles, ontop of being able to cast a good patronus in his 3rd year, being the youngest Seeker which would make him excellent at flying, and being excellent at Defence against the Dark Arts would almost make turning harry into a Death Eater if he had read his mind and found out he was indeed telling the truth a no brainer. The other problem though is the prophecy would be tossed out the window unless another boy is born as the 7th month dies and Voldemort stupidly repeats history but I don't see that happening.
Even if Harry was willing to switch sides, there is no way Voldemort would have accepted him. There is a prophecy that Harry is the only one who can stop Voldemort. Vodemort would not risk leaving him alive. He might pretend to accept and try to kill Harry when he doesn't suspect. Another problem I have with the video is the timeline. It is implied Harry would change side at the very end yet you mention the reaction of the Ministery which was already under Voldemorts control by this time.
Honestly Harry could never truly get along with Voldemort. Even if Harry became resentful of his life with the Dursley's then he would hold a grudge with Voldemort for being the one who got him put there by killing James and Lily. They would both stab each other in the back eventually. Harry would be more likely to become a dark lord in his own right, or possibly ally with someone like Grindelwald. Harry has no reason to resent any dark lord not named Voldemort after all.
Harry: "In place of the Dark Lord, you wouldst set up a greater presence! Not only shall I be dark, but terrible and ever inevtiable as the night and rising sun. The boy who lived - all shall love me and despair" - kudos to you if you got the reference
I thought of an interesting concept you should dive into. What if a squib got a bone marrow transplant from a powerful wizard? Would that magical bone marrow create magical blood cells granting the squib the ability to do magic?
This would never happen. Evil Harry would be more of a threat to Voldemort than ever and he’d have even more motivation to kill Harry. Even if Harry did become fully loyal, Voldemort would still see him as a threat simply because he’s still the chosen one, the only person in the wizarding world who could defeat him wether he chose to or not. A lot of people already believed that the only reason Voldemort couldn’t kill him was that Harry was so powerful that he was destined to replace Voldemort. This’d likely create a civil war amongst the ranks of the death eaters with the ones loyal to Harry (Let’s call them Potter’s army) eventually fighting with Harry against the remaining true Death Eaters. Potter’s army may even eventually form at the very least a reluctant and uneasy alliance with the ministry, Dumbledore’s army and the order of the Phoenix giving Voldemort more enemies than ever, even including many of his own former servants and allies. Imagine for example the likes of the Malfoys turning from Harry’s bullies and antagonists to now his loyal allies, finally having been proven right or at least believing they’ve been proven right that Harry in fact truly could be a potential replacement for Voldemort. Lucius may even try to serve as the devil on Harry’s shoulder, attempting to manipulate Harry under the guise of a loving and nurturing father figure in order to gain further power, this is Lucius Malfoy after all.
Interesting stuff but its simply not possible. Voldemort would never have contemplated letting Harry live. The prophecy rendered any talk of a union between the two moot. Also Voldemort would have been deeply insecure having a wizard of Harry's calibre by his side. Similar to Voldemort's pragmatic approach to killing Snape, Voldemort would simply have killed Harry within moments of Harry pledging alligience.
Absolutely Harry Potter was a pawn for Dumbledore for the ultimate good of wizarding kind That's not even in question but the person Harry Potter is the character this doesn't make any sense
Kind of makes me wish that Hogwarts legacy actually had a choice based thing you know like Mass effect where you could be evil and you could be good and you can have an actual choice-based ending obviously it would be a Canon ending
"Voldemort would have likely seen Harry's power and skill." What power and skill? Harry was skillful only in DADA and was never a powerful wizard. So many out classed him in the story. Originally when you did this idea I was furious on you. Back then it felt so wrong for Harry to be evil, it still feels wrong but I can't deny it's interesting. If I had Harry work with Voldemort, it would be for taking him down from the inside. Having Harry work from the inner circle is a fantastic idea. But then he would have to be good at Occlumency for hiding his true intentions from the dark lord. We all know he was shit at Occlumency because he didn't train hard enough, and also it's not in his character to be cold and calculated.
I imagine the first order of business (and the one I most hoped you'd cover) is how the Dark Lord and Harry "solve" the issue of Harry being a Horcrux and having the allegiance of the Elder Wand. We're positing a scenario where Harry's loyalty shifts to Voldemort, so perhaps they could find a way to make the wand change loyalty without Voldemort killing Harry, which he wouldn't want to do knowing he's a Horcrux. In fact, that knowledge alone would keep Harry alive and under Voldemort's protection. The other Death Eaters wouldn't understand the preferential treatment Harry gets from Voldemort since they didn't know about the Horcruxes at all. This might lead to resentment against both Harry and Voldemort, though as usual fear would most likely keep them in line. How would the Dark Lord use his newfound servant knowing that he can't really afford to lose him, though? He was liberal enough in his use of Nagini, so I doubt he'd keep Harry locked up, but it would always be at the back of his mind.
Harry being a dark lord no he is definitely to soft and has trouble standing on his own two feet he definitely need to learn to fight all his battles by himself and not needed to have his hand held
this makes me think that in like twenty five years there will be a movie and someone in that movie will say .." somehow lord Voldemort is back" and that will be all the discussion on that subject.
Harry had enough reason to join the dark side, but I think it would’ve driven him to become more powerful than Voldemort. But also avoid the same mistakes that Voldemort made, maybe instead overthrow him after he learns dark magic and his tricks.
My idea of what would've happened if I had to make a "If harry turned evil" would've been to have Harry join Voldemort around the order of the pheonix because that's when Voldemort was attacking Harry's mind and to have him actually kill belatrix when he had her right where he wanted her in the ministry. From there Nevil Longbottom would become the new chosen one since originally it was either Harry or Nevil, and for a bit of fun fan service I'd have a moment where Harry and Nevil would duel one another, and to end it off the battle at hogwarts in deathly hallows part 2 would end with Voldemort being defeated but because Harry never died then the part of voldemort that lived inside him would anchor voldemort to life whilst harry would end up in Azkaban. Then from there maybe have those years spent in azkaban change Harry to become even more evil and because Voldemort would still be anchored to life then Voldemort could come back again, break Harry out and from there I'd actually have harry stab Voldemort in the back and have Harry become the new dark lord since I think that would also be a cool idea considering some wizards thought that the reason he was the boy who lived was because they thought he must've been a stronger Dark Wizard. Well, I'd like to explore that. I'm not gonna write a massive fan story because I think it's best suited for a video, I just wanted to spitball some ideas for if anybody else feels like using them. Also there's definatly gonna be some interesting moments like Draco Malfoy realising Harry is now part of the death eaters and Snape would also be shocked by this as well, and I feel like Snape would attempt to steer harry back to the path of Good without blowing his cover which should be interesting. PS: I do mean if anybody feels like using these ideas, I'm not asking Harry Potter Folklore to make another video, just to anybody who's reading this and happens to be a person that feels like getting into also making some harry potter what if videos. I'd do them myself but due to my ADHD it makes it difficult to concentrate at a computer so writing is something I'm sadly not great at doing.
What you just described is a very human turn to the dark side. After all, the factors were there for such a turn. Horrid upbringing with the Dursleys, not a lot of true friendship, even at Hogwarts, and someone who manipulated him as a pawn in his war with Voldemort. If Voldemort hadn’t killed Harry’s parents and someone else did it might be what I would expect to be the most likely course of action to someone like Harry. You could get creative with such a story too. Harry would take the role of the anti-hero, seeing the ramifications of his battle with the Dark Lord first hand, people dying for him instead of fighting Voldemort himself. But because both Voldemort and Dumbledore used people as pawns for their own means, he could have justified it by saying, they are two sides of the same coin. People that use others like this should never be in power, and up to this point, Harry was very much so a product of one side of this coin. And because he hadn't really explored his dark side, he could never fully understand who he is, and therefore, is not fit to rule over others when he doesn't even completely understand himself and therefore is unfit to rule the Ministry when he didn't understand how to rule himself completely first. He would build up a coalition within the death eaters to challenge Voldemort for rule, and there is evidence to suggest that there would be some that would be natural allies in this case. I would take the example you gave in this of Harry using Voldemort for his own means, and that shows that Harry has a mind of his own now, and is his own man, and isn't just a product of other people's ideals and aspirations. The power and knowledge that he has over Voldemort as well would be quite interesting as well. He KNOWS he's a horcrux and KNOWS the prophecy must be fulfilled. He also KNOWS he's the true master of the elder wand. How he uses that would be interesting, and such a complex topic would be interesting to an older audience, but The Deathly Hallows was book 7. If it was a book 3 or 4 you could tell that epic story which would kind of make it Game of Thrones-esque and tell the story leading into adult life. But then again, some people that explored their dark side- it turned out quite badly for them. It's not for everyone, and maybe that's why Harry didn't betray Hogwarts after the events of Snape's memory were shown to him.
I think "other organizations" wouldn't happen until Voldy & harry branched outside of Magical Britain and Ireland. The ICW at least by actions if not flat out stated in canon considered the DEs as an internal issue and the "war" more of a civil war and thus stayed out of it.
Harry would never *in his right mind* side with the man who killed his parents and other people he loved. But this is an intriguing idea for an AU story if done right. The only way to make it work I see, is to make Harry suffer some kind of a mental breakdown and go, well, mad. Maybe as a result of Dumbledore's betrayal. In which case I don't see Harry preserving *any* part of his former morality, he would try to forget his friends or start to hate them to break with his past and make a 180-degree turn. That is the only way I see this AU scenario possible.
Voldemort would have killed him regardless, Harry would still have posed a threat to his command and there is no way he would have taken the risk. Neither can live while the other survives after all
As much as I appreciate how much effort and time you put into this video This is the most ridiculous insane idea and totally defeats the purpose of what JK Rowling was doing with her series and yes I understand that this is just a what-if scenario but then what if I was born a male versus a female what if I would have had girls versus boys it's not reality nor is Harry Potter a reality but it's a very good book and to mess with it like this is unbelievably ridiculous in my opinion and I'm sorry for being harsh but I've loved all your other videos this one just rubs me the wrong way
hello harry potter folklore, this is kevin and these are my thoughts to harry potter joined voldemort, what i think is i mean to be honest and fair i just don’t like harry potter joining Voldemort only because well if harry potter thinks about joining Voldemort then i would have to be in hiding, not that i’m afraid or anything and see if in my approach to not go up to voldemort and harry potter would be like killin me, no my approach would be to head to the death eaters and let them know that i’m also into the dark arts and that i’m interested in being a death eater so i can have a fighting chance to take on harry potter and where the ties have turned.

Voldemort would never accept harry as a servant or an ally.
Was Harry really that powerful?
As an adult. 😄
This is just a reupload of the episode posted on February 24, 2023...
They keep getting copyrighted. which is why i hardly upload anymore
What if sirius never escaped azkaban
Uhhhh” neither one can live while the other survives “….. I’m just gonna leave that here
I think that Haary could only become dark in book 2.
Voldemort would have killed him regardless, Harry would still have posed a threat to his command and there is no way he would have taken the risk. Neither can live while the other survives after all
I'm sure voldemort would of always been trying to kill harry no matter what.
If he would join Tom Riddle then i think that they would succed both of them.
What if professor McGonagall joined voltamort
What if ginny was the sorting hat
What if Voldemort raised Harry Potter?
As much as I appreciate how much effort and time you put into this video This is the most ridiculous insane idea and totally defeats the purpose of what JK Rowling was doing with her series and yes I understand that this is just a what-if scenario but then what if I was born a male versus a female what if I would have had girls versus boys it's not reality nor is Harry Potter a reality but it's a very good book and to mess with it like this is unbelievably ridiculous in my opinion and I'm sorry for being harsh but I've loved all your other videos this one just rubs me the wrong way
Interesting

What if up were down? What if left were right, hot cold, Einstein stupid? This is an absolutely moronic question.

Finally lol
hello harry potter folklore, this is kevin and these are my thoughts to harry potter joined voldemort, what i think is i mean to be honest and fair i just don’t like harry potter joining Voldemort only because well if harry potter thinks about joining Voldemort then i would have to be in hiding, not that i’m afraid or anything and see if in my approach to not go up to voldemort and harry potter would be like killin me, no my approach would be to head to the death eaters and let them know that i’m also into the dark arts and that i’m interested in being a death eater so i can have a fighting chance to take on harry potter and where the ties have turned.
