I got season 1 of this set for my birthday back in 2018.
i can't believe i got bootleg ones :V, mine are regular DVD sized with all the discs inside and a cardboard cover that makes it difficult to take the DVD's out some plastics are even breaking out
yeah i know what you mean going to refund the one for amazon cause there are some bootlegs floating around there also

No they haven't.
Since the original dragon ball is so old a blu ray release would only improve it a little bit. At that point they would be better off reanimating the whole thing

It's cause unfortunately Dragonball isnt as Popular as Z or Super, even though those who like it love it :)
@@Sean-sn9ld Unfortunately this is true. The painful fact of the matter is a very large population of people who know of DBZ don't even realize it's a *sequel* series. It's practically a household name all it's own so the original Dragon Ball is seemingly doomed to obscurity.
The old versions had the booklets.. I sold mine old set and bought a new set and only 3 of the 5 had a booklet.. and nowadays none of them have it. REALLY CHEAP! Funimation!

I would love to get this complete DVD collection but it's like taking a chance whether you're going to receive a bootleg or an authentic copy. Seems like you take this chance regardless of where you order too because it seems Cruncyroll never has the collection in stock. North America just seems to never get any love when it comes to solid physical releases.

Um yeah this series has not been redubed only the kai and super (which does not have any episodes of the original dragon ball only clips but that's redubed but only flashbacks in does I mean they brought back the original voice of kid krillin but not orginal kid goku's that's bullshit)
Do they still have the funi dub of rock the dragon I will not get these if it does not include the intros that's why I hate the orange sets

I got them from amazon a long time ago. They might still have some or you'll have to search ebay or local listings.
So, now they give you the inserts via PDF, cool I guess. BAck in 2010, I bought season 1 and it had the booklet on it (y).

I know DBZ has some changes and i am from Germany that means the German version are cut.
I would prefer the Englisch version over the German cut ones.

Funny how on the UK equivalent of these sets are yellow instead of blue lol and season 1 comes with the first OG Dragon Ball movie, curse of the blood rubies as a bonus, but what's annoying, there's no option to watch that movie in Japanese :/ on top of that, other 3 OG dragon ball movies wasn't release in the UK :/

What's the difference between the blue sets and the orange sets
Two different shows. Blue is Dragon Ball (prequel to Dragon Ball Z). Orange is Dragon Ball Z. Green is Dragon Ball GT (sequel to Dragon Ball Z).
@@UNBOXBURRITO Dragon Ball isn't a prequel. DBZ came out in 1989. Dragon Ball came out in 1984.

i really wish they would make a kai version of dragon ball or make a version where the filler is cut, because there are so many long pauses in every epsiode, it makes it hard to watch, even in the cool action parts
My personal opinion:
Series 1 = call it easy thumbs up(if you can look past the cringefest) 3# (very Best)(must buy)
Series 2 = easy thumbs up and way toned down from the cringe that was S1 (Best)
Series 3= thumbs in middle on this one it wasn't quite the quality of S1 & S2 but it wasn't downright bad either quite an easy enjoyable watch.
Series 4= thumbs in the middle again
series 5= Very high Thumbs up 2# (very best )(must buy)
Series 6= thumbs up (filler)
Series 7= solid thumbs up(best)
Series 8 = very high thumbs up 1# (very best)(must buy)
Series 9= skip the crappy wedding saga filler and call this series a high thumbs up.
