man I remember having season 5&6 after finding them in a pawn shop for about $10, I was 11-12 around then. I watched them over and over until I found the 2 GT seasons in the pawn shop a few months later. good memories.
At Cell saga Goku was Super Saiyan 1 itself. The first time Goku shows Super saiyan 2 was when fighting Majin Vegeta.

I got season 1 and 2 from Walmart for 20 bucks! A good way to give myself my first taste of the DBZ universe. I mostly know DBZ from video games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Switch, Jump Force XB1, J Stars PS4, Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on Wii and Dragon Ball Origins DS. Along with that I got Street Fighter Assassin's Fist because I love Street Fighter a lot!

No, this release looks like bleach was poured on it. The Japanese doesn’t sound like that because of the technology. It’s because Toei threw out the original broadcast audio and it want recovered well

I still have them, remember buying each set when they were coming out back in the late 2000s. Freza and cell saga looks okay but the buu saga picture quality looks bad.

I own season 4 and mine came with a booklet. A few years ago I bought season 1 and 2, and neither of them came with a booklet

You are correct. It sucks not having all books. I like either all the booklets or all the downloads, lol. I watched these shows in Spanish back in the day (1998-2000) and they just dubbed the series with the JPN music. Also as a purist, I prefer it to the random music added in the ENG version. I remember watching the Cooler movie and all of a sudden "Reminded" by Drowning Pool starts playing and I am like WTF, lol. I prefer the OG music as that is how the show was created and intended to be. But can also understand that nostalgia effect of whatching something as you saw it back then.

That's just regular Super Saiyan, Goku doesn't reach Super Saiyan 2 until after Cell.
I want to get all the VHS edited versions, but those are hard to find or get too expensive. Want the edited ones for my kids to watch.

Yes but the US music for the episodes in the first 2 seasons were by a different composer and it sounds out of place, so I'd recommend sticking with the Japanese music for those episodes.
I bought all season of Dragón Ball Z from eBay and have diferent box, less thicker , doesnt have booklet and the case Is all plastic.
But the DVDs aré too "thick" and my PS3 Slim have a dificult time reading the DVDs, at the start It sounds like the PS3 Is about to Explode, It vibrates a lot.
But just with this dragón ball DVDs.
My package 📦 from Amazon just come in today on time I'm happy but didn't get no booket with the DVD box set.

Does anybody know about when you change the angle, it turns from english to japanese letters. The blu rays dont have this feature

Only dvd does this not blurays, change it to angle 1 and you get some grain and japanese text
Disney also did this, you could change english text to spanish

Does NOT have the Rock the Dragon theme unfortunately. Uses the Japanese theme.
the only dvd we got in greece was the deagostini ones ( and they cut scenes like when frieza cut in half,when krilin was showing bulmas boobs and much more and the dub was meh )
Mines didn't come with the booket on season 4 & season 5 didn't get a booket with it I'm upset and disappointed 😞😔😔☹️☹️☹️ too not happy at all!

I just started collecting DBZ home media, but I decided to get the UK blurays but noticed on season 1 UK equivalent of the orange bricks, has a special feature called "Dragon Ball Z Rebirth", does your US set has this special feature? If so, what is it? Cuz I don't think this special feature was on the blurays.

The Japanese music is horrible. Bruce Falconer I believe is his name just put out a huge awesome soundtrack.

I find it hard to belive the unpopularity of dragon ball z kai is its not even on psn store only the orange season sets are still very popular and almost 5 star ratings.

It doesn’t. You have to get the single set CDS which are pretty expensive.
Till episode 50 get Ocean dub, then funanimation
Okay you probably won’t see this but please tell me how to get the fucking dvds out without snapping them because when I try to take the even numbered discs out (the ones behind the first row of discs) it feels like it’ll snap and I don’t want to fuck these up as it cost me $30

When it comes to both super and Kai they aren't in this brick style. Just typical DVD/Blu Ray cases.

@@dragoncaptain678 Sadly not they only have the Japanese Soundtrack for the intro. I was a real disappointment for me because I grew up with the DBZ Vhs tapes and god that theme song was cool!!

Just the funimation dub, they did release the ocean dub in this collector box set but, there out of print and rare now.

Question: How come that all 9 seasons of Dragon Ball Z are widescreen when their remastered? Wasn't they suppose to be full screen just like Dragon Ball?
Yea they should be 4:3 but they decided to do a Pan and Scan technique to make it wide... I would prefer the original.

Dragon Ball with the blue bricks. The DBZ one is hard to watch because of the extreme noise reduction so it looks like a bootleg. The GT quality is fine but for me personally, I don’t like it nearly as much as the others

Both the Orange Bricks and the Season Set Blu-Rays are awful, just pirate the Dragon Boxes.
Is the quality good or bad?
It is better than a VHS tape or old cable TV but not as good at the Blu-Ray remaster. Good enough that I don't care to get the blu-ray version but I kind of want to still get it to make a comparison video.

The Blu-ray is about the same price and is 10x better but blu rays are still cropped and the colors suck

Yes it does. I suggest buying the blu-ray season sets. They have much better image quality.
@@theskyrax670 Forums say that you should be able to choose it as an option. You have to change the audio from 5.1 to 2.0 i beleive they said.
@@theskyrax670 no the Bruce faulconer is on the DVD’s although it starts on the last few episodes on season 2. The first 67 episodes had the music from Nathan Johnson not Mark Menza.

The picture has been cropped to make it widescreen. So you lose part of the picture
